Pint of real ale please squire!
The small village was well hidden maybe the reason why is still existed was no one knew it was there, or indeed, everyone knew to keep well away. Walking slowly between the cottages, set well back from the pathway resembled those of hobits houses, small humble places for the quant village life and still there was no one around.

Having no idea what time it was or any bearings at all it could have been midnight for all he knew, but the fox carried on spying a building with smoke from the chimney and lights on in the majority of the windows, it was exactly as thought, an inn.

Standing outside Slaton swallowed hard before entering, pushing the front door inwards to a gush of wood smoke smelling air and stale beer, the din of the room hushed as they watched the stranger enter walking to the bar. Standing a moment before turning around looking at the locals, they went back to what ever it was the interested their little world, the white fox ansering the innkeepers question

"What'll it be?"

Panic set in for a moment, where was his wallet? Smiling nervously at the intimidating face of the panda waiting for his answer, Slaton found it at last checking that the kidnappers hadn't taken anything, which they had left everything in place. A sigh of releif he ordered an ale which was duley given in a huff of temper, not to worry, least he was somewhere warm dry and.. urgh.. crap beer wincing as he drank but it was at least some sort of normality.

But the thought crossed his mind, why had everything been left in his wallet? Surley if there was money and the amount he had, they enemy would have stolen it? Something didn't add up, were they too disturbed whilst he was being man handled into the cage?

Shrugging Slaton took another drink before having the courage to speak to the old man sat next to him, he seemed the knowledgable sort, catching the goats eye before asking about the blue dragon. The look on the mans face didn't change in the slightest, but the sudden hush of the conversation in the room meant he'd dropped his foot in it.

But this was no time for bullshit or manners

"Look i don't mean to be rude, but i have no idea where i am, how i got here or how long it will be before I get back to Redoran. But i know whoever took me, this creature followed and helped release me"

His mouth wasn't doing what his brain told him, had he really just blurted out about a dragon helping him? Sod it Slaton, if none of these people like it so what.

"So, anyone know anything, or even about that camp a few clicks up the cliff?"

No one answered. Fine, he thought time to drop the bomb.

"Seems something is out there intent on causing destruction, i heard their screams, the agony and the mess caused was immense. I hope none of you had relatives there, for they are no more."

Taking another drink waited for someone to speak up, if not, screw them. At least finding out where the hell to go would be the next best thing

___

Finn turned half awake his arm landing in thin air on Sashas side of the bed, opening one eye saw no figures at the bed side table so turned to the bathroom door. Wide open, and silence. It was nothing to be worried about, maybe she was downstairs getting something to eat or drink, he wasn't her keeper after all she could do as she pleased.

Getting up, the wolf showered and dressed heading to the breakfast room getting his fair share of food tucking it away for the day. But still no sign of her, thinking it a little unusual but not way out of the ordinaary headed off somewhere, realising this was how she felt when he used to vanish without so much of a note. Sitting back it was a bit of a reality check for him, how could he have been like this before?

Ah well Finn, get your act together mate, taking a deep breath asking the new staff if they had seen a husky headed out, to which she just replied yes and that no idea where Sasha had gone. No big deal, it would be nice to have a wonder about the town too, see whats about on his own and take in the sights of the other women without being seen by his love. Doesn't hurt to look right? A grin spreading across his muzzle.

It was cetainly busy in town, but heading down the back streets was more his thing. Maybe out of habit who knew but some of the best and cheap food was down these back alleys, feeling more at home with the less presentable types, Finn felt for his pistol feeling safe he knew it was there and loaded. These places were still never to be trusted.

Finding a cafe that was only half full the wolf went in getting a tea and newspaper to watch the world go by, would Sasha approve of heading back to these parts? Pffft, she was doing her own thing why should it matter, it was nice for a change.

Two men entered shouting for their usual orders before sitting at a table not too far from earshot of the wolf, continuing to read Finn pricke dhis ears up listning to the converstaion. Seemed the usual stuff, theivery, con tricks, the usual. But the sound of something really got his interest. A jewelery case that was worth a bit had been stolen of some woman.

Heh should have kept it more safe he thought smirking, stupid bint, continuing to listen to the two who were also eager to find out where it was, which seemed to be quite the saught after item. But they had no idea where to look, neither did he but that wouldn't stop anything. Paying up and a nod of thanks to the owner, Finn headed out, scouting the streets for this box. If there was moneyt o be made by selling it back to these lowlives on the street, he was going in on the chase.

Redoran

Confirming with the bartender that indeed the wolf had exited earlier, but hadn't the information about his whereabouts.
Running wouldn't do much, as the thief would be out of town's reach, unless he/she own's a small hideout.
Offended, bitter consent, if she hadn't been so openly, then this may have never happened. Crying out, on the street, cursing town upon it's unmolested services against law-breakers.

Child and it's mum, along with other pedestrian's gloated at the frantic husky making it further south along the street.

It wasn't their fault, but someone ought of do something about this village. Can't have all units patrolling just the main city.
Whether she was fortunate or not, the chances on finding an individual weren't as difficult, upon finding the wolf's back, making it out from a different cafe.

What has he been up to?

Not exactly surprised, she immediately started jogging, upon closing gap between em, before raising her voice.
"Finn... Hold on..." Apparently she would have a lot to explain, but she refrained from mentioning how much she'd spent.

The news didn't seem as relevant. Word sure are spreading fast, if someone would've acted as fast, the whole situation could have been averted. Yet when she mentioned it wasn't just any girl, but in matter of fact, he was all this time looking at her.
Feeling awkward about the whole situation, as if she couldn't have defender her self, nor at least attempting to retake what's been stolen.

"He weren't exactly the amateur sort." Excuses, but what could she have done, been pushed aside, whereas the shopkeeper seemed little caring about the infidel, as if that weren't enough important. After all, he's been two thousand mobius richer.

Informing what she had available, knowing only that he were heading south. "Also, did I forgot to mention, he was using the roof."
Of course, what if she hadn't followed him up the ladder, could things have looked different. No...? Of course not.

Potential key locations down the road, citizens who might have seen were this hooded character had gone to. Anything to lead them closer, to what in fact was her's.

Way ahead of them, the thief was indeed far from town's reach.
Two other's in front, one looking back at the fella, at the back seat, looking rather pleased about him self.
"You have it then.?" Upon questioning, having it handed over.

- "Yes.. This is it. Did the shopkeeper gave you any problems?"

- Not at all, some idiot girl picked it up, and made things way easier for me." Chuckling at the woman's frisky attempt getting it back, upon remembering her on the roof, loosing chase.

"Ah! Well if the owner of this shop, even values his customer's, he'll compensate her in some way for her loss."/b] Inconsistent humor, but they all had a decent laugh, before turning right at an intersection, leading them one step closer to Miriam Fall's border.

Upon confirming what's inside the jewelry-box, a broad smile, littered upon the appointed leader lips.
In his hand, a small, rather insignificant cross, such as you'd imagine certain priests of various sort, using for expelling possessed ones. Yet surely that's just superstitious, but marveled at it's sight, before concealing it back, firmly in the box.

((Ain't no one I'm have in mind for this small village, Stu.))

It wouldn't be too difficult tracking some information down not least with some of the low life types that were smacked off their heads on god knows what sustances, someone somewhere knows information whatever the place. It was just a matter of where to start, that and a niggling thought at the back of his mind... where had Sasha dissapeared to before?

Ah well Finn he thought no point pondering over that now, there some money to be...had someone called his name?

"Finn... Hold on..."

Turning to see the figure matching the familiar voice the wolfs features lit up into a broad smile, all be it cuatious in his eyes, had she followed him all the way to these back streets?

"Sasha!" Calling in releif hugging in a tight embrace kissed her

"Was wondereing where you'de got ot, are you ok?"

Beginning to explain something between her panting breath it seemed she'd also bought something that had been nicked. He didn't know what was more infuriating, whether there was a class criminal on the loose or the fact that someone had stolen of HER.

"He weren't exactly the amateur sort."

Nodding in agreement Finn had an idea of the type behind it

"Yeah i can imagine, no doubt it will be on the way to someone higher up in the chain, specially if it was...valuable?"

Leaving the question at the end fishing to see what it was exactly but whether she would elaborate was upto her. Although she had given chase which wouldn't have expected anything less.

"The roof you say? Ah seemed he knew exactly where he was going then, posssibilities are endless up there, not like down here on the tsreet with people walking about and the traffic."

Continuing to walk on the wolf felt for her hand and held it tight wondering together down the back streets, the usual traders thrutsing peices of rubbish at them to buy either ignoring them or politley telling them to buzz off. After a few minutes of not saying anything Finn spoke up softly

"It's ok if you don't find the guy, not unless it was worth alot of money. But we have to remember we still don't know who is after us, well, me i mean chasing us to find out stuff"

The wolf sighed before looking upto the sky contiuning on

"I just don't know what to do anymore, all i wanted was just settle down y'know? It's ended worse then when i was out and about, and worse of all you're dragged into this. I'm sorry hun, it just infuriates me, guess it's getting to me"

Seemed no one was interested in what was hapenning outside of their little community, so be it. Finishing up Slaton paid the barman and headed out taking a left heading out on the road leaving the village, wondering along the path under the canopy of the forest it wasn't dense but was thick enough to provide cover. Well, as much as can be done for a white fox in green and brown surroundings.

Not knowing how long it was, an hour, two hours, ten minutes? The arctic fox came to a cross roads, now which way to go? At least four stones were set in the ground at the enteance to each track, North East South West. It wouldhelp knowing where he was in the first place, opting to head west maybe try to get to a coast line and get bearings from there.

Daylight has began to seep through the trees and th eodd few traders were heading to market, passing a few buying up some supplies contuined marching on, no success with anyone about what happened previously. Although after many questions with someone willing to explain how far places were, was at least heading in the right direction of Lesslie's Farmhold. All be it a fair treck away, great he thought.

Minding his own business munching on an apple someone walked past dressed in cloaks as if to hide their features, thinking nothing of it Slaton just nodded as they waked past each other, but the voice of the figure spoke moments later

"Say erm, you wouldn't happen to have spotted any.....interesting creatures about would you?"

Pausing a beat managed to put on a convincing look

"Sorry my friend, only the few traders and farmers about, nothing for the last few days"

Nodding his thanks the stranger continued onwards

Was he someone to do with the kidnappers? Remaining viglant Slaton kept his eyes and ears peeled for anyone susicous and indeed, who might regognise him to snatch away again.

((A bit short here man. Planning on something but I don't what it is yet.))

Killing of time, wandering the street's. Different vendor's with various selection of assortments. However none had much of value, so it was natural to dismiss their apprehensive manners.
True, she had a load on her mind, leaving most scabbards in the hand of the wolf. One, was that she hadn't been able to stay completely honest, due to the amount of money she'd spent. Second, it wasn't all her's. Some of it were Finn's share, but when she had barely any scraps left of her own, she just hadn't the stomach to speak out loud.
Even such tender kiss, it all made her feel stiff, unusual.

Ending their trail, looking as a few mobile units make their way out from town.

//"I just don't know what to do anymore, all i wanted was just settle down y'know? It's ended worse then when i was out and about, and worse of all you're dragged into this. I'm sorry hun, it just infuriates me, guess it's getting to me"\\

"This ain't your fault dear." Looking to lax them shoulders of the grey canine. "I'd rather stick to your side, then hide beneath a shell, not knowing whether we'll be seeing each other again."
Because it had been a constant worry, though it pains her that all this, and she can't.... On second thought, it's best that he know, no matter the reaction.

"Finn... Please hear me out..." In the middle of traffic, she had made up her decision.
"The so called box that was stolen from me... I had, um! Paid 2000 quids for that thing. It's clear she wanted it back, but it might very well be inevitable. She even had made a personal request that Finn wouldn't do more missions, in term he even had agreed on falling back on the casual criminal path, though it's been strictly within law's reach.

If he wouldn't turn his back on her, they might knock their heads together and look to find the head behind this theft. Though the constant worry of someone looking to have em dead, is a reason why they should just stray from the oblivious path. Maybe just lay low, she could try and get something along the line as easy work, doing some favors for the locals, whatnot just to save up her missing coins.

Though admittedly she were curious as to why they've snatched it of off her hands, what else was inside. Perhaps the shop keeper would tell. So many thoughts through her mind.
