His fur was jet black, and he wore a plain white shirt with fading blue jeans. A slightly oversized white labcoat made him seem more weak than professional. His ears were perked forward in interest as he surveyed his progress. "Well...not too bad, but not exactly the standards he asked of me..." He stopped working for a moment, lifting his green goggles to show his tired, ice blue eyes.

Shadows obscured her appearance, except for her emerald eyes. She was Tei Tenga, an assassin. This hedgehog was her target. She did not know who put a hit on him, or why. She just knew he had to die. She carefully drew her pistol, and aimed at him.

A second later his eyes flew open. He dived just before he heard the sound of a shot. He quickly snatched two items from the table; one was a laser gun meant for the robot he was creating, and the other was a necklace-like piece, with a big green button on it. This was also meant for the robot. He crouched behind the table, waiting for his attacker to show themself. (( I have no idea how he'll convince her not to kill him. ))

"Well, I didn't think you came for a chat. But in the few seconds I've had to think, I've got some ideas. First, because of my occupation, and who I work for, you shouldn't have been able to get in here. That leaves two options. You're extremely skilled, or someone from inside is trying to get rid of me. Maybe both. I also wonder how much they paid you, and the motives behind it. Might just be the scientist in me, but I want to find the answers to those questions." He smiled ruefully. "Of course...I can't do that if you kill me right now."

Slowly, he brought his hands up and walked over to her. When she offered no resistance (AKA when she didn't pepper him full of bullets) he gently pushed the gun until it was pointing at the floor. "My name's Hikaru. What's your name?"

But he also looked pretty tired, with those light dark circles around his eyes.

They were itchy from sweat-after all, the lab was a bit stuffy. "It's a bit stuffy in here. Want to go outside? It's probably be easier to dispose of my body out there too." he teased lightly.
