Break out the L-word. The other L-word.

Thought it was a fairly alright topic to offer to you all. So, what do you think of the candidates? Who are you going to vote for, or, if you can't vote, who would you vote for? It'll be nice to see what you all think. ^^ Personally, I think they're both rotten, but I'd rather see Obama get a second term than Romney be elected. The thought of that guy being president scares me, more so than Obama. Which is saying something. |

The most important meal of the day

I'm not gonna lie, I haven't even heard about that first part. I heard about the film and all that. I heard that they tried to do damage control and make a counter film to try and apologize. Note, I heard all this on the radio while mopping the floors at work, I don't really know much other than what's on the radio, twitter, or the internet. But with the election only a couple of months away (at the time these events happened), wouldn't you think it is actually a smart move on Obama's part to avoid that subject that would be considered so touchy for most Americans? |

That's kind of my point :/ ... a lot of people are more focused on the election and separate elements of the election rather than their attention being taken by a subject as morbid as this one. That's good, if you ask me. Let's all worry about electing a leader before we worry about who is dealing with this problem and who isn't, etc. |

-Leaves this here- I really don't feel like typing out my views and opinions on both parties but my honest political view is that America would be a lot better if instead of the two parties trying to fight each other, they came together to actually provide solutions for America instead of themselves. |

Admittedly, that's pretty hard to do when there are vastly conflicting views on the role of the federal government. |
| Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk. | |

Outlawing something is a definite endgame... "legalizing" means people can do it if they so choose, people who follow a religious reason to not do certain things dont have to... using religious reasoning to outlaw contraceptives and abortion and such FORCES religious ideals on EVERYONE whether it is what they believe in or not. Legalizing doesn't force someone who doesn't want an abortion to get an abortion.... so your argument really doesn't hold up in that context at all. As for Foreign policy, the embassy attack was bad but we cant always control what happens on foreign soil.. Obama has conducted our world affairs in a way so that we're not bullying like we have before which has gained us global support, executed the campaign in Libya without a single US casualty since no troops had to be used, and we got Osama under him.. something Bush couldn't do in 2 terms.. And if we want to go back to historic precedent, our last conservative "foreign policy pro military guru" allowed an attack on OUR HOME SOIL.. the most devastating foreign attack within our borders ever I might add (the only other notables were a couple small remote bombings off the coast in Oregon during WWII but no casualties, minor damage)... so there's always that... |

Okay, fair enough. I obviously can't make a coherent argument (despite that having never been my intention). We all hold the candidates to a double standard. I mean, you're painting Romney as a Mormon theocrat who'll push against the grain on what I'm still pretty sure are toxic issues; while ignoring that Obama's as guilty as any other officeholder at pushing his beliefs down the gullet of federal statutes. You may well be right, I'll give you that, but at this point, I'm convinced that everything wrong with the federal government is exactly that: the federal government. |

Well, both Obama and Romney have some negatives (judging by how they acted in the debate, they both are too immature to be president.) Romney having these ideas of shutting down programs, making people pay more, and his acts of being the typical Republican I kind of despise, but then again, the last debate that Obama had, he said he was going to solve all this problem with debt, and never solved it. The only thing Obama did that benefit us was clog up the BP oil spill, but that costed us more money. If I had a choice though, I'd say Obama. I wouldn't risk Romney being president. But, if I had a choice for a president to come back and serve would be William Jefferson Motherfreaking Clinton. He solved most of our problems with still plenty of money to spare. Even though he's already served his two terms, I'd say bring him back. I also would vote for Obama because Clinton supports him. With Clinton on his side, good things might happen. If I'm wrong on something then please tell me. I'm basing my information on what I have heard on TV, news, etc. I also watch the debates and I actually laughed at them. |

The sad truth of our "democracy" is that we still rely on the electoral college, a system that is completely obsolete now and does not represent the overall voice of the people. Its not uncommon for a president to lose the popular vote, but win because of the Electoral vote. But yes, Obama seems to have won. |
