Some people will remember that a company from out of nowhere, Hucast.net, developed a game limited to the Sega Dreamcast titled DUX which was released in 2009. This game was a horizontal scrolling shooter and it was gruelingly difficult yet beautifully designed.
For those of you who've been living on the moon for the past three years, here's a quick video of the game and its cool gameplay:

About a few months ago I became aware of a remake of this title coming to the Sega Dreamcast. With the help from pledges under the developers, ReduxGame, will be able to finish it. So far they did a pretty good job with all the help they obtained.
The graphics have been updated and more detailed compared to its 2009 counterpart.
Here's the website to where the info on the game can be found:

Videos and pictures are on the page.

I am a really big fan of scrolling shoot em' ups, horizontal and vertical especially ones that are futuristic and take place in deep space. This definitely floats my boat in the right way, how about you?
I know that this should go into the Sega General section however I feel it belongs here because of the fact that it will be possible for a XBLA, PSN and Steam port as well. They need a bit more funding for it that's all.
I'm very interested in this. Dreamcast fans will probably appreciate this a bit more than others but it's for sure worth looking into if you're into challenging games.

Those who do good, do...
I love the idea, but if it was made in 2009, why was it made for the dreamcast?

Basically they're/ were independent video game developers. I'm sure it takes more than a couple thousand buckaroos to publish a title to XBLA and/or PSN. Not to mention, from what I understand, the Sega Dreamcast is very easy to make games for. Maybe not someone like me but for someone who knows what they're doing as far as programming goes. Take Christian Whitehead for example. He developed an engine known as the Retro Development Kit. Somehow he managed to run a Sonic the Hedgehog fan game, Retro Sonic, on a Sega Dreamcast basically by using this engine.

All in all, they chose the Sega Dreamcast, much like NG DEV TEAM mostly for the dedication towards the system. It does still have quite a large...very large fan base.
