Enjoy, Kingdom Hearts fans, as teased in KH3D and rumored for a while now, an HD collection of the original Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, and 358/2 Days(Kinda. More on that below.) has been announced. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix announced. Quote: In memory of this year being the 10th Anniversary of the "Kingdom Hearts" series, we are compiling a collection of the first works "Kingdom Hearts" and "KH Re:Chain of Memories" in HD. Furthermore, 2009’s Nintendo DS game "KH 358/2 Days", which received much credit for its enjoyable story, will be compiled as well. “Kingdom Hearts” (first work) game’s later release with various additional content “KH Final Mix” (Japanese language release) will receive an entire HD rendition. With the two HD remakes, we will add fully remade HD event scenes from Nintendo’s DS game “KH 358/2 Days”. This remake will give a new feeling to the series, and the 3 editions to the series will be a collection you should look forward to. Furthermore, KH and KH Re:CoM will also support PlayStation 3's trophy system. Also, obviously the title seems to hint a "second half" AKA a second game with the rest of the series in there. That I definitely want, since I want that KHII: FM content and Birth By Sleep. Remember for those that don't know KH3D's secret message, it said something like "The past will come together in new form. Prepare for the awakening of the next number." Obviously two "1.5"'s = 3. So discuss. I'm likely getting this, hopefully the HD port of the original will fix the spots that didn't age well at all upon a recent replay. Want that Final Mix content. Plus, I used to own the GBA version of Chain of Memories, but alas lost it, so I'm interested in the HD PS2 remake. Disappointed though that we're only getting the cut scenes of 358/2 Days. Loved the game and the story. Definitely worthy of getting a "Re:" remake, but I can kinda see why it would be hard. A DS game being remade into a PS3 title. Still... I hope it gets a proper console port someday, if possible. They better at least have tons of scenes in HD then fully voiced, making it like a movie. ):< Also disappointed no Wii U port, seeing half of the series is on Nintendo handhelds. Could still be a chance though, as not much details or real footage has been seen yet. I'll probably find a way to play it on PS3 though someday. Edited by Fenroar, Feb 25 2013, 12:45 PM.

You know, my brother had "borrowed" copies of the first KH and RE:CoM before, but I never got the chance to play through them. :/ And now they're coming with the Final Mix additions and they've got 358/2 scenes compiled in. Yes, story! Probably gonna buy this~

Kinda a money grab if you ask me. Considering the KH team is focused fully on Final Fantasy Versus, I doubt KH3 will come out for awhile...

Never seen an HD collection with six games possibly, so I don't know if there's any issues or anything. (KH1, CoM, and 358/2 Days cut scenes on first. I'm assuming the second will have KHII, Birth By Sleep, and possibly Re:coded or the cut scenes of Re:coded. Too soon for them to have KH3D included.) Possibly, but I don't think it will be as long as some are putting it out to be, or at least not Versus long. It just sounds like from all the hints that the 3DS entry(which sets up KHIII) had makes it sound like it's partially in development and it's coming in the near future.

Also Nomura pretty much confirmed a KHII(and even more likely Birth By Sleep) HD collection will be coming, though not a surprise really. Just as I expected, Nomura wanted to do a full remake of 358/2 Days but did not have the time in production to start it. At least they're going to have so much more cut scenes remade and voice-acted.

Kingdom Hearts HD will have some sort of reward after clearing it, likely something perhaps important, but Nomura says you shouldn't expect a secret movie. Also, more screen shots were posted in a few scans, which I'll edit this post when I find them. But hnnnngh. Those screen shots look so much smoother. Hopefully they'll remove those stupid "flap" faces the series suffers from at times in this HD port(which they should, or at least most of them...). Beautiful face animation, then there's this ugly puppet-like faces they have at times... Edited by Fenroar, Dec 18 2012, 08:08 PM.

I mean, cut scenes has beautiful face animation but then they don't even try for some others. Difference is night and day. :/ Revealed changes and possible secret bonus revealed? Quote: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix : - The “Zero EXP” and “Combo Master” abilities were added - The right analogue stick now controls the camera - Change speech (Not sure what this means exactly) - Summons has been moved to the 4th command slot - Special skills have been moved to the triangle button Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: - Entries from Roxas’ diary - Secret reports - A character index And finally clearing all 3 titles in the game will unlocked a PS3 custom theme. This might be the additional reward that was hinted at earlier. So it might just be a little custom theme. But hey. Nice to see the entries from Roxas's diary will make it in too. The entries got me attached to Roxas during Days, experiencing his thoughts, confusion, and emotions and all.

Ironically, I think I'm most excited for Days the movie(And Days is probably my favorite of the bunch, though it's been ages since I played and lost my original Chain of Memories.)

Jesse McCartney, english voice actor of Roxas, posts a pic of him recording for Days the movie. While KH1 and KHII did have English voice acting for their Final Mix releases in Japan, they didn't record anything new, simply taking the American recordings. Seeing 358/2 Days the movie is a brand new project, it seems more then likely that this is a sign the collection is on its way here, so no need to worry now.
