Your mother puts $30 dollars in your bank account and you have the freedom to spend it on whatever you want! What will it be? A fancy new video game? A music CD? Perhaps a Blu-ray? The choice is yours. But here is the hard part: all of these items are so good, and you can only afford one. You are confused as to what you would think you would get the most use of. So what do you do? You ask here! I'm in one of these muddles at the moment. What should I get: a new forum account (It's complicated, don't bother asking why I would need to "buy" a forum account), Day of Defeat: Source, Portal 2 or Skyrim: Dawnguard? |

Breaking Bad season 1 on Blu-Ray. : D F-ing amazing show. *EDIT* I know that's not one of your choices but I just got into it and I feel this is the best way to share that for some reason. : P Edited by sMy PANCAKES, Sep 6 2012, 03:20 PM.

Crysis 2 is on the weekend sale on Steam. As is Trine. Or for that $30, you could get a boatload of older PC games with no DRM at GOG. Best yet, get XCOM: Enemy Unknown pre-ordered. |

^ Pretty much this. Out of the choices given here, Portal 2 is a pretty solid bet. Loved playing through that. Co-op is pretty great too if you've got someone to test with. Forum account seems like the worst choice in my opinion. But I don't really know the reasoning so eh. *shrug* |

I'd get Coheed and Cambria's new album, The Afterman: Ascension in October!!! Though, the box set they have for pre-order looks jaw-dropping and I'm foaming at the mouth looking at it, but the box set costs about 60-70 dollars, but their newest album in just a CD would cost about 30 dollars. |

Sega Saturn and Game Gear or a Wii U? I know the Wii U is newer and all, but the Sega Saturn looks awesome, and the first system I played in my life was a Game Gear, and it broke down a few years back. |

Take it from someone who gets older hardware and such on an almost daily basis. You'll likely want to go with the classic system. Yeah, they don't have warranties, they're a bit beat up probably and the games aren't full motion sickness Call of Duty kill-them-all screwfests, but there's the connection to the past and the value of the older systems that comes into play. Add on if you have one or more game stores in the area that cater to the older systems, then you have a flow of games. |
