Personally, I think it's really bland. The level design is all reusing ideas from the past, (Which I have no problem with, as long as it's done right.) and the physics leave a lot to be desired. Plus, where's Kunckles? The elemntal shields? As a sequel to my favorite game of all time, Sonic 4 Episode 1/2 really have not been doing it for me.

It's been a fun romp in the vein of old-school Sonic. You know. Happy to see the discretionary Super Sonic make a resurgence and so on; with the 'evolution' (oversight, perhaps) of being able to leave SS at will in Ep 2. I'll admit, I've had a few gripes, but they aren't all gripes unique to Sonic 4. The only one that is, would possibly Ep 2's over-reliance on the tag moves. Regardless, I'm taking it as what it is; an enjoyable dose of nostalgia with the benefits of the modern age.
	Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.

I actually am very fond of the Sonic 4 series. While I do believe much more could have been done, I am satisfied with the end result. It might not be the best Sonic games, but it is far from the worst.

I'll give it this: they're fun games. I wouldn't mind seeing an entry including Knuckles, though. Maybe even Amy, considering she originates from Sonic's classic era, as well.
