"I didn't use the whole thing ...."

Finally, after much anticipation, Nintendo has set a date for the Wii U price and launch date unveil: September 13, 2012. The company has announced that it will hold a special press event in New York hosted by Reggie Fils-Aime. Reggie is expected to unveil the final Wii U details, inducing price and launch date. The Wii U has long been rumored to launch on November 18, 2012, at a $299 price point. Now, Nintendo didn't specifically say in their announcement that the event will reveal the Wii U price and launch date, but everything is pointing in that direction. The whole purpose of the event is the Wii U, and the company has a history of revealing launch details at special events. Last time Nintendo and Reggie held an event in NY, they revealed the 3DS price and launch date. For the Wii U, the only things left to reveal at this point are the price, launch date, and launch games. And perhaps the system specs, but those will likely be unveiled once the console launches and someone decides to open the box to see what's inside. Other things Nintendo could potentially unveil are different Wii U models and colors, and of course some more details on the Wii U accessories (including the price of those). ....Okay, you really need to learn to pay attention, because September is when Nintendo might unveil the release date, not the release date itself. |

Our bodies, yeah, not sure about our wallets though. ![]() Economic depression/recession/whatever its being called now aside, I would like to get a Wii U once the game system has more games to it I want. Right now its a rather small list. |

I think Nintendo is taking the wrong approach with this system. Yeah they are getting 3rd parties interested but so far it's mostly games that are already out on PS360 and unless you ONLY owned a Wii and never had access to those games it really isn't an incentive to get the system. Plus Wii only owners are likely casual gamers who got it for Wii Fit and such with no real interest for those games. Plus how long can the 3rd party support last? As soon as the new Playstation and Xbox come out it'll lose all of that because it would be too much work to port them over. Who knows but I'm sure, as usual, it'll have their quality first party titles. |

Plus, I find it disappointing that Nintendo finally is launching with a Mario game with their system this time, but its a game that does not even attempt to really show off the Wii Us capability. So far, the rumor of Shiggy wanting to make a Star Fox game for the Wii U is currently the one thing I'm looking/hoping forward to. |

Um, no. |V While I did use to own a PS3(Long story, but I wish I still had it. Gonna save up for a PSP/possible Vita as well.), I currently only own a Wii and a 3DS and never intended to get either for casual-only games(I'm not even interested in some of those). I'm sure I'm not the only one alone. Something I want to point out though; next-gen games are actually going to be pretty scalable from what I read(Will try to find the source). Yes, the Wii U will probably not be as powerful as the PS4/Xbox Whatever(Either on-par or slightly more powerful then PS3/360), but there is a chance Wii U could still easily get next-gen games. Developers are apparently discovering easily-scalable engines. The games will likely not be as pretty as their counterparts on the other consoles(Still pretty though overall), and it still remains to be seen if enough developers will do this for sure, but it doesn't seem like they'll be as big as a gap between the Wii and PS3/360 like the Wii U and whatever. So I think there's a good chance the Wii U could get 3rd party support. Anyway, as for my thoughts, the Wii U is at the top of my list. Will likely buy this instead of saving money for another PS3. Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, and ZombiU, and others I can't think of right now I plan to get. Also some third party games I missed out on, like Darksiders II, ME3, and the superior versions of Arkham City and Trine 2. Hopefully Christmas time my parents can help me out, if the release date is true. Will get the ultra-sexy black one. <3 |

Black and White has been confirmed while a Red one was recently 'leaked' but has yet to be made officials. |

In that case, I hope the red one is official. If not, there's always black. |
