The dog'll run around a lot, and when it gets tired, homing attack the tail. That will have you grind on the rail, and grab the horn, and then you'll control the beast. What you'll want to do next is guide him into one of the two statues, as that'll take out half its health.

With Silver, you'll want to not go near him until he starts holding objects. You'll know he's doing that as he says something like "How about this". You attack him, then QUICKLY get away. Rinse, repeat.

It is NOT fun, especially with rings intact. Ugh, hes a real pain if you get stuck in the air above him, than your basically screwed. Though one lets play/commentary I saw had someone fighting Silver, and got shot not only out of the arena you fight him in, but also into space(Or basically where the atmosphere of the level ends)
