I'll be house-sitting for my friend who owns the PS3 that I use for online gaming that weekend, so my ability to hop online is pretty much ensured. Just figured I'd throw that out there. Don't feel like you have to adjust the plans around me. I'm not even sure my connection will hold up for a decent fight. Here's hoping.

Emmett Graves Kat The characters are dropping February 12th and will be free for the first two weeks, so grab 'em while you can! Also, a new stage, called Fearless, which is a mashup of Heavenly Sword and WipeOut, will be added as well. The stage has to be bought, but only for local modes; you can still play it in matchmaking without buying it. Here are a few screenshots:

I was worried I'd miss the free period thanks to them being sneakily added while I wasn't looking for 'em. Nice to have an idea of when to start looking. Really looking forward to playing as Kat. I haven't played Gravity Rush, but I really like what I've seen of it. New stage looks pretty nice too. Wonder how much that'll cost me.

It's not likely to go on for all of or even more than one of these days, but that's the rough estimate of a time frame. Earliest this can happen would be 4:30 PM here on Friday (that'd be 9:30 PM for Kammy and 7:30 AM Saturday for Chaos if I'm not mistaken), so if you guys are ready then we'll just do that. So here's how it's gonna go down: - Add my PSN between now and the 1st so that I can invite you guys when it happens. You can go ahead and delete me afterwards, but if you don't I'm not gonna pester you with messages or anything. :V - If possible I'd like to run some 'latency tests', as it were, between now and the 1st, where we play a small quick match just to see how bad the lag is. If you're up for it, let me know, but it's not mandatory, it's just to help smooth out the process since the games'll be running off of my ping. - The teams'll rotate round robin (after every game we switch teammates) so that we all get a chance to team up with each other. - Play as much or as little as you like. You can stick around for one match, or you can stay all afternoon. It's up to you. - Gonna open up a text chat during so you guys can communicate. If you don't wanna join it you don't have to; if you have a mic and feel like using it, go for it. - I'll be using the text chat to let you guys decide the conditions for each game we play; rules, limits, items, stage hazards, etc. Stages, however, will be random. - After each match feel free to take a break to stretch or get food or what have you; I'll give you guys some time between games so that way it doesn't turn into a binge. And I guess that's it, really. Hopefully I'll see you guys then!

A 'latency test' with me is a good idea since I have no idea if this will work at all, so I'll try and get some in this week if I can. I'll add you when I'm next using the PS3 and whenever you see me online you can grab me for one at your convenience. And thanks for considering me when picking the date and stuff. I know this wouldn't work on any other weekend considering how early I'd have to be up otherwise.

So for example something like: Round 1: Chaos & Stark vs Ktim & Kammy Round 2: Chaos & Kammy vs Ktim & Stark Round 3: Stark & Kammy vs. Ktim & Chaos And so on. At least, that's my understanding of it.

Aside from some scraps of DLC hither and thither, we've got an update on new characters: Dead Space's Isaac Clarke and God of War's Zeus will be entering the fray this month, as well as a level based on Medievil and the Unfinished Swan!
