Some Advice for a NEW Forum...; I need some advice for a new forum that I'm conceptualizing...

'Ello, lad!
 Alright, I'm was thinking about making a forum. I don't need to say what kind of forum it is unless, if any of the advice I need involves what the forum is about. It's quite obvious of what I would make a forum of since I talk about it 24/7 like a fan girl, but anyway, back to what I am trying to say.

EDIT: Actually, I'll just say it now. It's a Breaking Benjamin forum. I looked for any Breaking Benjamin forum topsites and there are only a tiny bit...and they all suck. The Breaking Benjamin official website USED TO HAVE a forum, but it got shut down apparently years ago. Not to mention another website had a Breaking Benjamin forum, but it got shut down and that website hasn't been updated since around 2009.

I am not even going to get started conceiving a forum until I have a couple things checked out. I will put them in a list so you guys can at least help with one of them.


  • Okay, to start everything out, I need to know what board I should be using. I understand that a lot of people like Zetaboards, but I kind of want to try something different. What other boards are out there BESIDES Zetaboards? Please don't say Proboards. I've heard of Proboards...
  • I'm not bad at Graphic Designing or Coding CSS/HTML, but I'm not the best either. I pretty much taught myself coding being an admin for a site that Mike Shadow/Aaron Kunai/Fruit Sensei owns right now. I was wondering if well...this isn't the topic for it, but if there was anyone who would possibly help me out with the coding, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY IN THE FORUM UNLESS YOU WANT TO. YOU COULD ALWAYS BE TEMPORARILY HELPING ME OUT UNTIL I HAVE NEARLY EVERYTHING SITUATED.
  • Since I'm making a Breaking Benjamin forum...I've had ideas for a name.

    • The Simple Design (simpledesign.org OR simple-design.org)
    • Lights Out (lights-out.org OR lightsout.org)
    • Next To Nothing (next-to-nothing.org OR nexttonothing.org)
    • What Lies Beneath (whatliesbeneath.org OR what-lies-beneath.org)
  • I might start out with The Simple Design because it could refer to the creation and rising to the forum.


I'm not the best at web design, but not the worst. I just need some info and advice before I go off having ideas and imagining those ideas being put into the site. I will accept any sort of feedback.

 First of all, you'll probably want to tone down your second post. All capitalization indicates yelling and will generally attract negative attention and feedback. Secondly, instead of double posting, you could have just edited your first post and merged in the content from the second, and third, it's been several weeks since this topic was created.

 Alright, well, apparently, no one really has feedback so I just guess I should leave it at that. If someone did, it would've been posted within the week the topic was created. I was just making an update. And yeah, I don't see how caps really indicates yelling. That's just how people see it and that's their perspective. My perspective is something's new so try to get them to notice it. :/
