Zelda OoT 3D- Master Quest; I'm about to play it...what advice can you guys give me?

The Jaw-ggernaught of Justice.
Ok, so here's the deal,

I recently beat The Legend of Zelda OoT 3D (My fave game to play, FYI) and i unlocked the master quest. Now I never played OoT Master Quest, nor have I heard of it (I saw the gamecube version bundle where it came with Wind Waker, but i never played it).

So, my question to you is this; what can I expect from this unexplored "other side" of Hyrule? I'll need all the help i can get, since all i have in terms of a strategy guide is my original OoT Player's guide, which would not help AT ALL...Lolz.

So....advise away!!!

Hmm... let's see...

The dungeon designs, while the environments are similar, are a lot different, so expect to be thrown off immediately(Guides for the original will be useless of course). Damage is doubled I think, and there will be more enemies, some never battled so early in the game and not seen till later in the original. The Great Deku Tree, ironically, is actually the hardest of the child arc I think, simply because you only have three lousy hearts, and more enemies show up, do twice the damage, and can surprise you easily. I ended up dying far more times in said dungeon then my entire regular playthrough, so my advice, be very cautious when in the dungeon.

I only beat the Child section of Master Quest, getting as far as the Forest Temple before other games came and distracted me, so I can't comment on dungeons beyond that. The child arc got slightly more easier though once I actually started fetching more equipment and hearts, so it might be easier from there? Anyway, other then that, everything is mirrored as well, so Hyrule Castle Town is on a completely different side of the map.

All I can offer that I know of. Good luck!

Do what I did and conplete the Water Temple first as an adult. The Longshot is incredibly helpful, and can get you lots of Heart Pieces, which you'll need because double damage doing enemies suck.

The child dungeons are pretty hard, but the adult ones aren't too bad. There's a pretty deviously hidden eye-thing you need to shoot in the Forest Temple temple and the hardest part of the whole thing for me was the bottom of the well and child part of Spirit Temple. The Water Temple was pretty tricky too.

Since there is double damage and more enemies, expect to die a lot (Iron Knuckles do 8 hearts of damage!). Accept it as a fact that you will die frequently and it will be less frustrating. Get good at fighting Stalfos without being hit at all since you will have to fight a lot of them in rooms with locked doors or narrow passageways (Such as in the forest temple where you will have to fight at least 3 in one room with auto-locking doors when you enter). I think they do 4 hearts of damage. I reccomend getting Din's Fire as soon as possible, as I remember having to use that to solve puzzles a fair amount.

Overall Master Quest flows well and isn't too hard but then suddenly stops when you get stuck on a room of enemies or puzzle. After you overcome that it flows well again until you hit another tough part. That cycle happens very frequently in dungeons. Expect it to be hard, but possible. I can help you find a walkthrough if you want. Good luck.
