As long as the person infatuated is aware that the character doesn't exist, then I don't see why you have to go out of your way just to rain on their parade. :V

I have no clue why people make a big deal. It's an opinion. People don't need to rain on someone else's opinion just because they don't like it. It's unnecessary AND I DON'T CARE IF IT'S THE INTERNET. When people do that, especially here...it gives not just them, but us a bad name and reputation.

You don't see people go beserk when someone obsesses over Harry Potter, so I don't see why it could be such a bad thing. Falling for a personality isn't a bad thing. I like Sonic's personality too, that's why I like the series and play his games.

I was just saying that it's awkward and I admit, I did say that it was wrong, but that's my opinion. I don't care about people's opinions and I'm not going to shun them over it. Eh, as I look at it now, I probably have made a big deal, but in my mind set, I was calm and expressing what I thought was right. Not really getting mad at anyone, just saying my stuff. Just cause she was nice enough to tell me how to beat Sonic Adventure. But I was like 8 then, and it was simply something I took notice of. Not to mention most animated female characters(as well as male characters) tend to reflect the artists view of what makes a character beautiful or pretty(Or how they should look basically). Honestly though, having crush over something that doesn't exist is setting yourself up for stress so really, I don't crush over them or obsess over them. I just find them attractive in general. Oh, and they're TECHNICALLY, not animals. Part animal, part human. They're anthropomorphic, but still, I get what you are saying so I agree with you partially.
