I'll be there every step of the way... Posts: 4,813 Group: C Rank Legend Member #1,680 Joined: July 13, 2007	I was poking through some blogs on here when I noticed that the blogs tend to have multitudes of spam comments, sometimes ranging into the thousands upon thousands. I do believe that the comments belong to very old blog posts, but nevertheless, they are present. I really should've taken note, though, if any of it was recent... Anyhow, the content includes everything from foreign sports advertisements to drug sales advertisements to even crude allusions and links to child pron. I dared not click such links to confirm if there's any actual content (on any of the above for that matter), but I wouldn't be shocked if there was. I guess that's the nature of spambots. There's even spambot user accounts (very few to my knowledge) dedicated to making their own blogs (of course, harboring the same content) to take note of. What I found most peculiar was that some of the comments posted on the legitimate members' entries were posted by seemingly no one: "comment posted by [insert absolutely nothing". I've not the understanding to determine whether this means that the account was deleted in the past or that there is/was once a bug with the blog system. Anyway, it would probably be a tall order to ask the mods and admins to meticulously clean all that garbage up, but I thought it would be better if you were aware. Here's some member accounts I noted had these comments buried somewhere within their blogs: Neo Metallix BlizShadow Tora Unlimited Crusader Sephiroth (MoD) Spin Gale Earthbound Immortal Uru Qt-Star the Hedgehog Sorry to be so impersonal, haha. Sadly, I think there's probably more, if not a lot more. Those are just out of the ones I bothered to check. But also, I noticed two spam accounts: cc3c33 cm0x24 And that's all I know. Thanks! They're deliberately done by bots for reasons I have no idea. We're not talking about actual members spanning, we're talking about anonymous bots. Edited by HollyYoshi, Aug 2 2012, 02:42 AM.
