Character Select
Naoto Oshima, as we all know, is the original character designer of Sonic The Hedgehog, . Yuji Uekawa was the art for the Adventure games, Advance series, & the Rush games. Two have differenting art styles, with Oshima having the the more classic, cartoonish style, & Uekawa having the 2D art style with Sonic in more radical poses.

Honestly, I love both (Naoto kept his art adorable, Yuji kept it a tiny bit more realistic). But, if I had to favor one over the other, I'd have to say Yuji. Yuji is what inspired most artists today I see. [IT KIND OF SUCKS YOU DON'T HAVE TRACY YARDLEY AS ONE OF THE ARTISTS. HE'S THE ARTIST OF THE ARCHIE COMICS, BUT ARCHIE IS JUST FAN STUFF. NOT EXACTLY THE REAL DEAL.] Yuji makes his art a little bit more realistic and I like the newer generation. Naoto would be good for chibi art. I don't know. I just wanted to spread my opinion. SO MY CHOICE IS YUJI UEKAWA.

Rated E for EVERYONE!!!
I perfer Yuji because the adventure game were my first sonic games. I'm kind of use to the stylish sonic than the cartoony one

Uekawa's got a weird shading style, but honestly I like them both. Both have their own appeals.

I object to your claims
Oshima's Sonic has a nice blend of 'cute' and 'cocky', but ultimately I prefer Uekawa's art style. The more streamlined body fits so much better for a character who is about speed.
