I just noticed how Omochao follows you everywhere, and is always in front of you, no matter what speed your going. So, that would make him faster than Sonic. Just thought you guys should know. lol

Well technically, he just keeps up to get in your face and annoy you. I usually pick him up and toss him off the edge or something. XD

Sonic may be the fasting thing alive.

But of course, that only applies to things that are technically living.

Haha, I do that too.

Well, kind of like what TWOS said. Sonic is the fastest LIVING THING alive. If you boil it down, Omochao is just a bunch of non-living elements and technology making something ANIMATE, not exactly LIVING. So, Omochao can be the fastest thing, but not alive.

It's also worth noting that several of Eggman's robots and mechs can stay ahead of Sonic no matter how fast he runs, mainly those seen in Unleashed, but it has gone as far back as the Mushroom Hill boss in Sonic and Knuckles.

Man, the title of "fastest thing alive" really isn't worth that much, is it.

Yep, not worth that much at all. If they're going to give him that title then at least make it realistic.

Well its easy to make a robot faster and faster. From biological terms, thanks to chance and random, not so much. And even mutations ,whatever backstory you're going to call, was because of chance.

Yeah, I'm sure any machines that Eggman's whipped up to keep up with or ahead of Sonic were designed with the fact that Sonic is a fast little bugger in mind. If he designed slow things he's just asking for them to be smashed or completely overlooked. Not to mention half of these things can fly and Sonic has to navigate the terrain he's running on as well as keeping his speed up.

Still, nobody else can naturally run as fast as he can... except for Eggman in some cases. Maybe he has mechanical legs or something? Who knows~

As for Omochao, I'd be wondering more about who made him. Like, he just sort of appeared and it was never stated who thought a mechanical Chao that gives you advice was a good idea. More mysteries for the ages~

Quite clearly, Omochao was created as a reconnaissance drone by G.U.N or some world government. Sonic lives in a dystopian Orwellian future, but he's too fast to be kept track of by regular methods; in response to this new high-speed threat, Omochao was created to monitor Sonic and lead him away from areas where he could possibly free people. Basically, Omochao leads Sonic to 'tourist areas,' places set up to look like a nice place. Any other discrepancies can be explained by an unreliable narrator.

This is gonna blow your mind. Eggman is faster then Sonic. Just think about the classic Sonic games when Sonic chased him, and yeah Omachoa is a robot. He shouldn't count.

Not to mention Shadow, Jet, and a few others have managed to be at least equal to Sonic in terms of speed.

Man, Sonic's title really isn't worth that much.

Actually, Omochao uses his powers to slow down time. Upon activation, he releases a pulse of energy which slows things down. This allows him to catch up to Sonic and the others and annoy them.

It just looks like he's super fast. :D

Poetry. Beautiful, beautiful poetry.
Of course, the Orwellian Sonic hypothesis explains a lot about Sonic Adventure 2. Omochao is capable of acts we can only speculate about in Science Fiction. In Eternal Engine, when you shoot the Omochao, it does a few things of note. It continues to talk slightly after you shoot it. This is because shooting it doesn't necessarily shut it up, but Omochao realizes it should have. Omochao also repairs itself after a small amount of time. We cannot get near manufacturing self-repairing robots capable of regenerating sub-Omochao-sized fragments; let alone with the unbelievable speed of a few seconds. Chillingly, if Omochao falls out of the ARK, he merely teleports in, unhindered by physical ailment.
Of course, it goes without saying G.U.N robots are on Omochao's side. Why would the flying robots line up in a perfect position to help you across a gap? Why are there no stray (off in the distance) enemies in Metal Harbor? They, too, are nefariously leading the unassuming hedgehog away from certain zones. In Shadow's Radical Highway, there are holes in the floor (I assumed they were from the bombing robots), which makes since in the story's context. The loops, however, do not, The area was clearly designed for Shadow's use alone.
Clearly, our heroes stand no chance.

Or do they?
You see, Sonic has found various methods of escape from G.U.N's oversight. In the Chao Garden, Sonic was able to break his way out of the staged area and go outside, into the blackness of space. However, Sonic never spotted the Earth as he made his way around the area he assumed was a glitch. Sonic lost his one chance at seeing through the lies of G.U.N.
