As you probably noticed, my favorite character in Sonic is Big the Cat. But something occurred to me. I was playing Sonic Generations, I looked at all the characters I had. And no Big. He didn't exist! Does anyone know what happened to him or if he will appear in future games? |

I think he actually makes a couple cameos in Sonic Generations. Just looked it up--yep, he's on one of the signs in the Casino Park DLC, And there's also a trophy of him that you can collect. Besides, he was in Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing and Sonic Colors DS, So I don't think he's been forgotten. I think they just want to give him a more minor role, because, well... Big's been long forgotten ever since, what, Sonic Heroes I believe. His other appearances were cameos but now he's offcially been scrapped and isn't making any further appearances. |

Where did you get that information from? He was playable in Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing, which was 2010. Everything else has been cameos, yes, but other characters seem to have suffered the similar fates. Things have focused on Sonic and Tails lately. It might be a possibility that Big will return in All-Stars Racing Transformed, it has been claimed the original rooster of characters will return with 3 new characters, so if that's the case, Big will make his appearance. |

I personally think Big is a great character. Sure he might not be as popular as say, Sonic, Shadow or Knuckles. But there are some of us who actually do like this character. Maybe Sonic Team just can't find anywhere else to fit him into future plots and that's why we only see him in cameos and S&S All Stars Racing. But well, at least seeing him in a racing game is better than him not having any appearances at all, right? |

I find Big quite endearing as a character. He just minds his own business, doesn't try to hurt anybody. He's an okay guy. Just didn't have a good debut in terms of gameplay is all. He'll probably stick around for ASRT as well as make a few more cameos in the future. But Big hasn't been scrapped any more than 90% of everyone else in the series. |

That's a necrobump there, bro. But since we have some new games out, I'd like to mention that Big is everywhere in the Sonic Adventure 2 rerelease, even in Battle. I managed to find him underwater in a wall at Cannon's Core. |

Big was originally in all those places. And I doubt he's gone, there's just not a lot of reason to include a chill guy fishing and minding his own business right now. |
