Sherbet Mouse, also known as simply Sherbet, hails from a mysterious castle in the lonely center of a shadowy ocean. Flood Fortress Zone, as it is called, protrudes directly from the murky waters, and from the balconies of its tallest towers, Sherbet had always watched the sparkly blue horizon and longed for a chance to venture into the great unknown. She dreamed every night of the wonders she might find if only she could escape. She had no friends--not even fellow mice. She had never known the love of a family, but only the love of a few charitable critters who scurried away after showing kindness. But on one fateful day, Sherbet's dreams came true...
It was a warm and sunny day--the brightest that Flood Fortress Zone had ever seen. The reptiles of the fortress (reptiles comprised the vast majority of the fortress's measly population) awaited an old friend at his promised hour of return. This old friend, also from the fortress and simply called The Basilisk, was a lizard with the amazing ability to run on water! The Basilisk had departed precisely one year ago, after some intense leg training, to explore the great beyond--the world past the horizon. He was then returning to report his findings. The reptiles desired to hear great tales of treasure and love and beautiful reptile ladies. Oh how they longed for a larger world! ... But mostly they wanted treasures.
This desire, though, was crushed as the Basilisk claimed he found nothing but water and rocks... Water and rocks... On and on and on and on. Sherbet, so very ready to see more than the fortress, a castle of estrangement, listened in on the grand reveal, only to be just as heartbroken as the lizards. Hardened by a lonely and difficult life in the fortress, Sherbet was not a timid mouse. She demanded reason, she demanded hope! She approached the Basilisk and interrogated him on the subject of his journey. The Basilisk, old and wise and free as a bird, and perceptive enough to trust the lionhearted Sherbet, told Sherbet the truth--the real truth.
"Lil' dudette," he said, "the time ain't right for these crazy, scaly boneheads to go out into the world! But you, lil' darlin'... Yeah, you got your head screwed on right. Girl, let me tell ya, there was all sorts'a things out there! I saw cities and caverns and humans and hedgehogs and-"
"Seriously!?" Sherbet interrupted, "Pinch me, I'm dreaming!"
It was then that a voice in Sherbet's head told her to trust the Basilisk, even though she had never known him before. She could tell that the Basilisk was already trusting her, so she heeded the warning of the voice and returned the feeling.
"Can you take me, mister Basilisk sir? Oh, please, please, please!? If I can find some Riff Fruit, I'll give you some! Come on, it'll be worth your while!"
Neither Sherbet nor the Basilisk could resist a tasty Riff Fruit! It was certainly a deal at this point... But of course, the Basilisk was just as willing to get away from Flood Fortress Zone as Sherbet was, and the Basilisk felt that Sherbet was pure enough to deserve to see the world beyond the horizon.
"Hun," he said, "I think we've got ourselves a deal! Ya know, I like you, kiddo, because you ain't filled with the same greed those other slithery boneheads got. You've got good intentions!"
"Hehe, I am pretty cool..." said Sherbet.
"That you are, babe," said the Basilisk coolly, motioning for Sherbet to hop on his back.
It was then that the long-awaited journey began! Sherbet's dream now unfolds as she travels the seas with her friend the Basilisk (whom she nicknamed Bassie), searching for the most fascinating attractions and the most amazing people in all the wide and wonderful world! Maybe someday the two of them will even travel the universe, because their lust for adventure is truly ceaseless...

Sherbet is 13 years of age. She is quite small, measuring up to only about half the size of the famous Sonic the Hedgehog. She is very bold and headstrong and does not filter her thoughts and actions--she believes in saying what you mean and doing what you dream. She was hardened by a difficult life, and doesn't believe in crying or being weak. This is simultaneously a sort of weakness and naivety in itself, but it is also a reflection of her determination to live life to its fullest. She desires in her heart to make friends and share happiness with others, although she is confident in her ability to be independent. Little does she realize that it is the company of both the Basilisk and the friends she meets on her journey that keeps her fueled and ready to explore. The unknown is her greatest inspiration, and she is guided safely to it by an actual voice in her head. This voice (a male voice), St. Dreamy as she calls it, is a mystery to her and everyone who knows about it. Whether it is another being or simply a fictional (and plausibly unhealthy) manifestation of her strongest desires and inner wisdom remains to be known. With such a bold and headstrong nature, Sherbet is not beyond being quite the flirt as well as accidentally making rivals and enemies. She is also capable of physical combat, in which she typically uses punches, kicks, the famous and widely-used Spin Dash, and tackles--she loves to tackle.
The Basilisk is 45 years of age. He is remarkably large, and thus he is able to carry Sherbet on his back as if he were a boat of some sort. He also possesses an extremely valuable ability to run on water (at rather high speeds, to boot). He is very wise, relaxed, and entirely content in helping the young Sherbet along on her adventures--after all, he's quite the adventurer himself. The Basilisk is a fan of loud guitars, cool cars, and Riff Fruit (he likes to footrace against those cool cars, that is). The Basilisk is a very accepting individual, who was not quite as phased by the loneliness of Flood Fortress Zone as Sherbet was. The Basilisk is the type of lizard who lives day by day and can survive under almost any circumstances. He is also very strong--one can imagine the power in such a large body.

((Any feedback is much appreciated. Fun little note: Sherbet's color scheme isn't far removed from Maelic the Hedgehog's original color scheme.))

Wow, I saw when this was made and was like "wow, no one commented?" I love this, I actually love this a lot. I usually don't see people show off their fan character like this. You're very detailed...more detailed than me and yeah, I don't usually see a mouse as an FC. For some reason, Sherbet reminds me of Despereaux or I think that's how you spell it. She reminds me of him for the simple fact that she's small [of course] and that reference image just made me think "Despereaux." I would be surprised if you don't know Despereaux for they made a movie of the book not so long ago.

Sorry it took me so long to reply! Actually, I didn't know of Despereaux, but upon looking him up, I'm seeing the similarity! The color schemes aren't far apart and they do favor. Interesting!
But thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you like my work!

Also, I updated just a couple parts of the profile to make it a bit more clear. Very minor, though.

Alright, and I'm surprised you don't know of Despereaux. Very good childhood story, but then again, was very advanced for my childhood. I was in third grade reading that book and that book is up to fifth and sixth grade level. Either way, I'm glad you see similarities. That's what popped right into my head. And I see the slight difference. I love it.

Christmas is back again

Finally took me some time to read this profile.

Well first of all, it's rather unique describing Sherbet and Bessie in their ways of being adventurers, adding details throughout what appears much like a background.

I like it! So there's not much critical to say, rather then looks like a unique friendship between two completely different individuals. Almost something you'd expect to see through a movie.
