The one game barely anyone remembrrs tgat came out on a failed Genesis add-on. Knuckles' Chaotix.

What are your opinions on the game?

I loved almost everything about it. The art direction, characters, gameplay, special stages, zones and especially the music. (TUBE PANIC *-*) It did take me a bit to sort out with the rubber band gimmick, but I liked it nonetheless.

I liked it as well, in fact, probably my most favorite characters are the Chaotix (though Espio is apparently my favorite one).

Just hoping that SEGA would remake it into HD release or something. That'll be nice. :D

I didn't get to play much of this game, but from the little I did get t play, I enjoyed it. It's too bad the 32x was such a failure, though. :/

This is definitely one of my favorites in the series.
The graphics are phenomenal and pretty as well as the backgrounds and tile sets.
Another great aspect of this game is the buddy system they made you use and the level themes, which were extremely original and well thought out.
Also the polygonal 3D effects that were used made the game stand out.
It is a shame there wasn't another 2D Sonic title that used similar graphics.
Knuckles, however, had quite the interesting design.
Meaning it wasn't that great compared to Sonic 3's.
All in all, music was fantastic, graphics were amazing, levels were cool and nicely designed and the characters are totally original and cool.
It was also nice to see that they used something other than Chaos Emeralds.

It sucks because most people probably didn't like this game at first because of the fact that Sonic isn't playable and where you have to use a computer/2P character to complete the game.

I've never played it unfortunately. I've wanted to, however, and I hope on of these days, they port it.

Say, I've heard Chaotix was going to be ported to Gems Collection, but they cut it out for some reason. Anyone know if this is true? It would certainly explain the game's artwork in the museum.

I have Gems Collection...and no Knuckles' Chaotix so yeah...But i believe you can unlock some pictures of it in the gallery.

Edit: i heard the game was originally supposed to be 'Sonic Crackers' which has the same ring link game play but it only had sonic and tails as playable characters i believe

You might want to get rid of that spoiler since it is against the rules to link to emulated stuff and all that.

Pretty much this. It's better then sonic 2, but Sonic 3&K and CD surpass it in Level Design and Music. The two main things that made this game on par with them is the team system and character cast. Knuckles, Vector, and Espio are 3 of my top sonic characters.

It was the best game in the Sonic 2D era. It was super-fast and more thrilling than Sonic's own games. Because, in Sonic's games, every two seconds you get something in your way that you have to jump over, ruining the sense of speed, while in Chaotix, it's all darting around, super-speedy platforming with barely any obstacles.

Those who do good, do...
knuckles' chaotix is very good, despite the fact I never played it, it's kinda repeating some levels in it (seriously, at the start you randomly get chosen 5 different stages and they're all the same...), on the upside about this game though, it was very memorable, very fun, had nice music and was the last game before mighty the armadillo was abandoned.
