Character Select
(Even if there is a character with this name, mine is extremely different)

Name: Shun
Alias: None
Age: 15*
Gender: Female
Species: Hedgehog*
Date of birth: May 26th
Place of birth: Centurion
Current residence: Currently unknown, but located in Villy Town, Centurion
Occupation: None
Alignment: Neutral

Physical Description:

Image (If Available): Shun (click here)|Shun [better version] (click here)
Height: 3'3" (I know my drawing is a little off compared to this. The second drawing illustrates the height better, though)
Weight: 76 lbs.
Appearance: Aside from the imagery, Shun only has five main "spikes", albeit only in the back. The smaller spikes are edges of the lower spikes. Her spike streaks are black, and remained unchanged. Her main fur color is blonde yellow, and sparks a little when touched too roughly. Sometimes, she isn't always wearing her hat underneath her goggles, but occasionally does randomly. Naturally, she is always seen with said blue goggles and never goes anywhere without them. Her eyes are pale light blue in color, and have a diamond-touch shine to them sometimes in the light. Her gloves are white, but give off a light blue hue in the light, and wears red bangles with a thunderbolt shaped print on the frontside. Shun is also wearing a red dress with a bubble-like pattern on it, which is straps-only and adorns a blue scarf tied around her neck. It covers her shoulders and back spikes respectively. Due to the past, her tail is unlike a regular hedgehogs; it is pure black and shaped oddly like a miniature thunderbolt. Also because of this same past, her ears are large, dumbo-like, which also have black, thunder-pattern shaped marks running along them. The top of her head is represented with a wild turf of hair, which is untamed. Down her legs, are more black streaks running along them, and end at her ankles when feet are uncovered. Her shoes are styled for purely running, and support static build up in case she needs to use it. They black, white, blue and red in color, and sport the thunderbolt pattern that matches her bangles previously stated. Her nose is flat, shaped more like a mouse than a hedgehog, but tests say otherwise.
Attire: She usually wears dresses more than pants. The attire was stated above.

Personal Information:

Personality: When you first look at this girl, you'll think she's hyperactive, playful, cheerful, and easy going. Those are three components that make up Shun. Not only this, but she somehow maintains a quirky sense of attitude, a little fiesty if treated improperly, and a little bit of a spastic person. She goes over-the-top to explain things, and talks exceptionally fast, which is an implication of her name, which means "swift". Her biggest downfall are heights, in which she reacts hastily. Shun sports a good laugh and probably laughs more than expected, especially at corny jokes. It's easy to get her upset and sad, but anger is another matter. It takes awhile to furiously upset this girl. While she's a girl, she is definitely not the sweetest, most gentle one. She plays rough to get, and has an attention span of about two minutes; after that, things seemingly become forgetful. Her giggles are and may be addictive, but she is not the buttercup of life like most females.
Hobbies/Talents: Shun appears to not have any talents. She claims "I'm not good at anything!" when asked and begins to dash about in circles unexpectedly. However, she is great at handling Chao, as she has a pet one named Verde.
Likes: Eating, sleeping, playing with Verde, her Chao, annoying her "brother", Shin, and zooming in circles. She also appetizes to carrots, cheese, apples, sour grapes, yogurt, jello, and waffles. Don't get her started on waffles. She also likes pasta, such as spaghetti and penne. On the sweet side, she adores chocolate cookies. Other than food, there isn't much Shun likes.
Dislikes: Not being able to eat, getting ill, being alone, heights, being pursued, Aerophobia.
Items: None
Vehicles: None
Trivia: None

Relationships:

Family: Shin the hedgehog (brother)
Close Friends: Verde the Chao
Other Friends: None
Romantic Interest: None
Rivals: None, but Shin can be considered a friendly, sibling rivalry
Enemies: None

Battle Information:

Skills: She's pretty nimble and flexible, aside from the quickspeed that hedgehogs are known for. There is a limited time in which she can span electricity, either created by her or manipulating lightning from casual storms. However, she cannot cause a thunderstorm herself. Her fur itself can create sparks naturally. Other than pure speed, swiftness and static sparks, she's on the okay side when dealing with water.
Techniques: Bolting; Shun uses electricity to increase speed. Only if being pursued, racing. Other than this, basic homing attacks, curling-ball, and "pound" attacks from slamming into the ground whilst in "ball" form.
Strengths: If escaping counts, she is good at doing that. Eighty percent of the time she can get away during a tough spot. The other ten percent, she can't. If rebounded to the air by an attack, she can somewhat levitate to dodge oncoming attacks, but not always. The levitation only lasts a few seconds anyhow until the natural, gravitational pull begins to hammer down.
Weaknesses: Cookies (temptation), water, heights, drowning, Aerophobia, males in general other than her brother and Chao, and being pursued. Pummeled to the ground where electric build up is slim to none, and loud noises.
Weapons: None

History: Shin was originally a hedgehog on the planet Centurion, casually enjoying his life. At the time, he was around ten years old, and lived carefree with his mother, Fin. Due to an accidental occurence, Shin lost his hearing in his right ear and sight in his left eye at the age of eight. Unlike most hedgehogs, he didn't like running so much, and admired swimming instead. His mother invited him for swimming courses at a nearby institution meant for the disabled, and after several months of hardened practice, he was able to perform basic swimming techniques. By the age of thirteen, the young Shin discovered a mysterious garden full of lifeforms which called themselves "Chao". Such creatures didn't typically exist on Centurion; in fact, they were nearly unheard of. This small garden of Chao was kept hidden away by who knows what, and can be accessed from the back of his current school's yard. By his fourteenth birthday, Shin was awarded with a job as a life guard for the beach, having been certified in training of CPR, and mastered his basic swimming skills he acquired in his earlier days. He still wasn't much of a runner, and only ran when he needed to.

The youth, for five months, had done his job well, saving three lives over the course of his position. While it isn't much to be noticed for, the disabled boy was applauded for his feat anyhow. People around his neighborhood praised him for his good deeds and encouraged him.

Unfortunately, by the sixth month, Shin had fell ill to the influenza, and suffered immensely.

Days carried on, and Shin hadn't recovered from his sickness, even with the equipment and medicinal necessities needed to cure it. It was as if he suffered from something else. An uneventful happening occurred in to which Fin was bulgarized in her own home while caring for her son's well being. The robbers didn't take any belongings, but had kidnapped her son instead. The mother quarreled over for a search warrant with authorities, and one was eventually issued to her. The boy's kidnappers had left not a trace or sign, leaving Fin heartbroken and pained. They not only stole her son, but the love of her life, the light of her darkness; her child. Still, the police force continued to search for the missing life guard, hoping there was still time for him to live.

Across the planet Centurion were the Red Aliens, a group of mutant-like creatures that would steal children from their home planets to their ship. With the sickly boy in tow, they began a hideous project known as cloning and genetically advance the clone using the actual gene coding from their original. The first five attempts they tried on Shin failed, and resulted in five different male clones, each missing something: the first one was missing its right ear, the second was missing its left eye, the third was missing its left leg and arm, the fourth one was missing its tail and nose, and lastly, the fifth one was missing vital body parts. Engineering in this task was proving useless, until the aliens cooked up another idea to their already scheming, twisted plans.

By the sixth time, they reproduced a clone of Shin again, however, instead of allowing it to rise, they kept it sleeping. The yellow form of the hedgehog was injected with a vial that had electrical DNA samples from a strange, yellow colored mouse that packed the same power. That wasn't all; the two, Shin and his newest clone, would be internally linked at all times. No matter how far one went, they would know exactly where to be, almost like twins. The clone, at first, morphed into a perfect replica of the original, having the same facial expression, eyes, everything. The only difference was the tail, its streaks and ears. Lastly, one fraction of Shin's dormant soul was placed into the clone for it to live. The Red Aliens believed their first five attempts failed because of this inclusion was dismissed from them.

Due to Shin's sickly state, the clone was also infected with this illness, and began to run temperature far hotter than normal.

The Red Aliens the yellow creature's blood, as well as their own, to potent a resonable "cure" for both Shin and his clone. The clone, however, started changing drastically into a lighter version of Shin. Aforementioned hedgehog also began to change; his ears, tail and streaks began to mimic his doppleganger, and the once lack turf of fur upon his chest was now white and viewable. Both sported the same amount of head spikes, eye color, body size, and same powers. Successful, even after many changes, the Red Aliens were assuming to collect more test subjects until the once sickly Shin figured out where he was. Both him and his clone found a way to lock the aliens in their ship, and find an escape pod back to Centurion. Unknowningly, it had been five years since his kidnapping, and the planet changed in his eyes. His hometown still existed, but his mother was nowhere to be found. An explanation of a neighbor told him--not knowing it was Shin himself--that his mother passed away three years prior, and the house was left to ruin until it was cleaned and locked up. Even with this sad tale to the happiest beginning, Shin decided to continue living anyhow, rather than giving up because of losing his mother.

He eventually dubbed the clone Shun, and she soon began attaching herself to him, claiming him as a brother when in fact they were the same being, just split asunder. Shin still assumed his distaste for running while Shun was his complete opposite; running, laughing, being flighty. The girl hedgehog, a reminiscent of his fifteenth birthday, never truly aged, and maintained the appearance for the remainder of their days together, and currently, are still with each other. Shin ages very slowly, due to the strange electric creature's presence inside of him; the same goes for Shun. Shun can do everything her male counterpart can, albeit differently.

THIS is how you do a hedgehog character. You don't make him a relative of Sonic, being better then him. You don't think recoloring Sonic and giving him eyelashes makes a good character look. You don't say she's a cocky but serious when needed character and let that be for a personality. You do not give a senseless backstory about Eggman attacking your homeworld and then all of the sudden becoming a power-mad god. You do not give your character every single power you desire and you can use whenever you feel like it without any weak points to it.

You do instead, the exact opposite. The exact opposite which you do in the most correct way there is.

It's like..it's like the best hedgehog OC i ever seen.

Thank you. I took a lot of time developing my character. It's been a few years since I even had her on the web. I still feel something is missing, but yeah. Thanks again! ^^

Haha, thanks! (: I was afraid she would get... shunned [/such a horrible pun] xD But in all reality, I really thought I was going to get comments like:

"This sucks!"

"Y U not make character like Sonic original?!" and "Your character does not fit with Mobius! >:(" Basically, hate-rage. I suppose I overreacted in my imagination.

Yeah, we are all worried about those kind of reactions when we make a fan character.

I object to your claims
I'll admit, the first thing I thought when I saw the pic is how much you referenced Pichu. xD

And the character is very original as well. It's like Max said; you did the opposite of what most people do with hedgehog characters and you do those opposites well. ;)

Yeah, I did reference Pichu without really putting it in there. XD I didn't want copyright infringements to kill me--I mean. Thank you! ^^ xD Now I wish I could use her in some RP without it looking weird!

We have a section for roleplaying so if you want, i recommend that you would check it out. There's also a sub-section in the roleplay section "Organization IIIX" or something along that. In there, you can arrange roleplays or join people who want to roleplay as well.

I've tried that. It seems nobody was interested in the role-play I created. Also, I did post in the private role-play request as well. It's all right; someone will come around and all, then I'll be able to use Shun appropriately. I'll wait rather than badger people about it. Thanks for the advice anyhow, Max.

Aaaagh these things are always tl;dr which is why I don't usually write reviews or make sheets at all.

HOWEVER,

I like this character.

I want to see others.

Because this is the first genuinely great Sonic FC I've seen in the longest time.

Here, you deserve this.

Sorry for the tl;dr, Lemmy. D: But I thank you for your comment. <3 It's very much appreciated.
Also, I'm going to add/edit another picture I did of Shun in the image thing. I feel she's a little too tall and I downsized her a bit to fit the 3'3" height. [/random] But yes, thank you all for your comments and now I'll shut up.

Ah don't take it personally. Like I said, character sheets in general are tl;dr, so don't sweat it. ^^;
