Should I trade a GBA SP for a PSone?

My friend has an original Playstation system (PSone) and I want it really bad. It does not come with games, but has a controller and cords. There's a corner store near me that has a shit load of PSone games. I was planning on getting my friend's PS and buy all that. Problem is...I got nothing to pay him. So...I was planning on trading him by GBA SP along with six games to him. Should I do it? I'm only posting my three favorite GBA games.

Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance 2
Sonic Battle

I also have Prince of Persia, this crappy WWF game, and two Yu-Gi-Oh games.

Should I do it? Or no?

Well, what do you think is better? PS one? Or GBA? Have you tried to decide on that firsthand? There's no such thing as "Both being equally good", one must come out as the best one.

PS One has tons of very good games, always fun and enjoyable. GBA has some limitations to that however there are still plenty of games that are great as well.

If your more into retro gaming, i recommend getting PS1. It's a well developed console and always comes out with a surprise in each game.

Yeah, like, I love the Sonic Games I have, but they get boring after I beat them. Besides, I don't play my GBA. I got it brand spanking new in 2011. I barely played it until 2012. That WWF Smackdown game I have this random 8-year-old gave to me.

But still, I have to agree. I do love the PSone better, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Though, my friend loves the GBA and he doesn't have one. He could buy games just like how I do. Go to the corner store and browse around.

Well, I guess if you both want what the other has, then trading would be the logical step. *shrug*

But still, is it worth it? Like, would you think trading seven games (three are Sonic Games) would be worth it for him? Picture yourself as him. Would you accept that bargain?

Well, if I were either of you, I'd just emulate the desired console. Pretty sure the PSX emulators nowadays are fairly bug-free, but I haven't used them much. And as for GBA emulators, well, the Virtualboy Advance runs like a dream.

So yeah, if you ask me to imagine it from the other guy's perspective, I'd just be picking the third option.

Eh, I don't emulate shit. If it's worth buying, I'll buy it.

Speaking as a collector and a user of old consoles, I'd say the trade is reasonably equal. Superior console for a semi-modern handheld with solid battery life, backlit display and games? So long as both parties are happy with the trade then there's no need to offer more than is required.

I object to your claims
I think the trade's a fair one, since you both seem to have what the other wants.

If you have either a PS2 or 3 then no because they both play PSone games.

I don't have a PS2 or PS3 so I'm good to go!! >X3 Now...I just got to find a way to sell my Original White 360 I have in my bedroom I never play. Should I post another topic on this or should I keep that here as well?

You say you are bored of GBA? Not play it that much anymore? Bored of the Sonic games because they don't have enough replay value? Well, PS1 it is then. If you really wan it, and need to trade for a console that you don't play anymore, well, pick a guess on what to do.

Oh, and no need to make another thread, i think.

So, you got an Xbox 360 and you want to sell it. Okay. Have you heard of the website called Ebay? It's an aunction site where millions of people post what stuff they sell, then someone buys it with the highest bid and there you go. You and the one who bought it agree on terms and you send the package with 360 to him once he pays you.

Yeah, beating a game over seven times gets very boring. And, hah, of course I've heard of ebay. I don't usually sell stuff on ebay. I buy them. I was planning on bringing my 360 to a GameStop. Reason being, they still accept the White Original 360's at GameStop (at least the ones around me) and they don't care if it's missing an external hard drive. Yeah, I'm missing an external hard drive. Here's the features missing from the 360...

  • It used to have a 60 GB hard drive, but it was taken out and used for my new 360.
  • Unfortunately, it has no controllers. I got the 360 from my friend and it came with two. One controller's circuit board is toast, the other controller I use now.
  • Of course, if it's a white 360, it's not kinect ready. I hate kinect, but there are families out there that like it. Of course, they could pay a mother load of money to get it kinect ready, but still.

Overall, it works perfectly. My step-father fixed the disk tray that would get stuck when you opened it. I do have a few games to come along with it. I'M NEVER GETTING RID OF DEADSPACE 1 AND 2 THOUGH.

  • Project Gotham Racing 4 (Old game)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I would get rid of my Sonic '06, but I know how almost everybody hated that game. I'm just going to keep it for the sake of being a Sonic game.
