Announcement and fan reaction. Apologies for bad quality, trying to find better source (As well as some of those comments in the comment section). So much nostalgia from Sega lately. NiGHTS HD, Jet Set Radio HD, and now a SA2 port/possible remake. Unknown exactly if this is an all-out remake or an HD Port(Probably the latter). Discuss. |

Def getting it and it seems to be a proper HD port unlike the first with widescreen support! At the time I liked the first better but I give the edge to this one now. |

I totally agree with Metallix. I'm definitely getting this for the 360. Though, I wish I had a PS3, it would be much more fun on Xbox because...I am used to the Xbox controller in Sonic games than the PS3. Still, another thing to agree on, the first Sonic Adventure was something to like before, now there is another. The Adventure series is one of my favorite series. Probably the most successful. |

Lava Reef Act 1

Sounded like the crowd at Mayhem Fest yesterday when Slayer hit the stage for what was apparently the first time in Florida since 1991. So yeah, pretty sure this falls into the category of "all of my money". |

yeah, getting this, and I still have a working copy on GameCube, and have been playing it for years. Not I'm getting the chance to compare my time to other people's score on the leaderboards, of course, that will be messed up once #1SonicFan shows up with a 99999999999 score, and the 30 guys tieing in 2nd with 1 another ridiculous score. Hopefully, SA2 will have a weekly setting. BTW, I've been around and seen many comments saying they can't wait for reviewers to bash this game so we get mad. Why would you wait on that just because you don't like it? x) |

I'll be buying SA2, along with Nights. Never played Nights before, and I have to see what all the fuss is about that game. But besides that, do you guys think the battle mode in SA2 HD should have online play? I'm sure it will. If so, should a achievement or trophy count towards winning a certain amount of battles or races? I ask because of the achievemnt and trophy whores (such as myself) out there. I hate having to get an award for playing online when NO ONE IS EVEN PLAYING IT ONLINE! |

I dunno if there'll be online play. It's possible, but not guaranteed. There are plenty of games with multiplayer that has the potential to be online but isn't. |

Well if they made it so Daytona USA supports it you'd think they could for this. Though it would have been nice for Daytona to support local split-screen too. |I Anyway, it's pretty likely I won't be picking this up. I might if the price is alright but really I've already got a working GC copy. Guess I'll wait and see how other people feel about it before I make my final judgement. |

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
|
I only wish that dream would come true. As for SA2, I am looking forward to it. It will bring back much nostalgia. |

I personally can't wait to raise a new batch of Chao. I've been playing a bit of SA1 as well to prepare myself. And then I remember I don't really like SA1 all that much. :/ |

Launch Base Act 2

lol, I like both but SA2 is much better to me, mainly by Music, more realistic stage design, amy not being a playable character in the main story, the it's even better chao system. Speaking of online multiplayer, I thought it would be really great to have since we could finally have someone to play against since no one else may not be around to play locally, but I heard it wasn't gonna be included..... x) |

Lava Reef Act 1

The only thing I think SA1 really had going for it over SA2 was the mechanics of the hunting stages. The whole fixed locations and non-restricted radars were preferable, but other than that SA2 did pretty much everything else better. So yes, can't wait for it to get here. :3c |

Launch Base Act 2

IMO, I think the radar was the only part done better, but meh, makes it a bit more of a challenge, and it never really bothers me, since I'm able to find the gems in a good time frame anyway, usually a minute or less each unless it's put in a tricky spot that I miss. I usually hear fans say that they were boring and not fitting for sonic, but this is something you do in many adventure games, which is what sonic became when it hit the DC, hence the title "Sonic Adventure", despite wanting to call out the term "sonic game" as if he's a genre, which he isn't. For one thing, people should remember it was his speed and unique physics that set him apart from all the other anthro morphic platformers back in the classic era. While people will also complain that games shouldn't have more then one genre, I ask why? Most games these days are $40 or $60 dollars on release. I'd rather buy the game the gives me two or more different ways to play then the game with just one thing, unless they make it really awesome, like Prototype 2. People say game like colors and mario galaxy are good because they're constant(which is funny coming from the fanbase that called the warehog repetitive), but if being constant was the only criteria of being good, almost every game could be GOTY. lol, big post. x) |
