Eggman Nega has two origins, one being from another dimension with the other being a decendent of Eggman. (though strangely his bio on Mario and Sonic at the olympics says he's both. well i know that in the 3DS storyline they make references for him being both. Really strange.) As for if he's dead or not. (I've haven't played Sonic Rivals 1 or 2.) But he's most likely not. I mean Sega's not really known to kill their characters. (Ok yes Sonic 06 Sonic died but he came back) So they'll come up with a way for him to come back. Similer to Eggman after the ending of Sonic generations. They'll find some way to bring him back.
