So... I've read the comics and played a few of the games. I'm not completely sure about who the Chaotix are because their role isn't too big as far as I can tell. But what I DOO know is that Charmy is a bee. Bees don't really have noses... WHY DOES CHARMY HAVE A NOSE? sidenote: I realized this when I began drawing a new bee character by kind of mixing Amy and Charmy. I thought, 'oh well... I might as well give her a nose then... even tho this is ridiculous...' |

Why Sonic runs fast? Why Tails can fly? Why Knuckles can glide? Why do most of those characters talk? Why do they wear clothing? Those questions, really, are better to answer then the question of why a bee has a nose. |

Really? Apart from Blaze, Cream and Amy, everybody wears gloves and shoes. They're essentially nude. Charmy has a nose because Sega decided he should have one. That's about it really. The only ones that don't have noses to my recollection are Vector(who has a massive snout) and Espio(who has a horn). To answer your question about the Chaotix, they were originally a crew that hung out. I'm led to believe they all lived in the Special Zone. Anyways, when Sonic hit the 3D era and the day/age of Plot, they became detectives. They're quite crap as far as detectives go but detect they do, eventually. |

MoD answered it perfectly: Charmy has a nose because Sega designed him as such. There's no canonical or in-depth scientific explanation for this. It's an aesthetic choice, like Sonic being royal blue, meaning there isn't much more to discuss concerning this topic. Locked. |
