At quite the value of $9.99 you can get your downloaded copy of Tomba!, that is if you have a Playstation 3.
I've been waiting a few years for this to happen.
Definitely beats paying like $150 just for a disc.
The ultimate would be if they brought Hermie Hopperhead: Scrap Panic to the import section.

Anyone else excited about Tomba! on the PS3?

Hmmm... wikipedia sure is helpful. : P

I actually remember this. It was done by the guy who made Mega Man. You ran around as a little caveman kid and beat up pigs. Pretty quirky and fun. : D

The best way to put it is, besides Punky Skunk and the Mega Man titles, the only good 2D platformer on the PSX.
I know there was a second I think called the Evil Swine or something.
Never got into it.

Here is a sample on the game.
Enjoy.

Graphically yes but only because it's what was new in technology.
Plus they came out in the same year.

Not to mention in Klonoa you interacted with objects/enemies in the background and foreground.
So it felt more like a 3D platformer rather than sidescrolling 3D.

Woah. WOAH. HOLD UP.

I remember this! Vaguely. I played a demo of it once forever ago. Don't remember much about the plot though.

Kinda interested in getting this. I'll keep an eye out for it when I've got spare cash.

Oh, I remember this game!!! I used to play this when I was like eight years old! Unfortunately, I do not have a PS3, but I have both Tomba 1 and 2 for the PSone somewhere. I probably ended up leaving it in Jersey. :(

I played the demo and instantly fell in love. Eventually went out and bought the game, it was the most expensive game I had ever bought back then.

Tomba! was a great game, I even rented the sequel. Shame the company that made it closed though, that's sort of what contributed to it and its sequel being so hard to find/buy.

Glad to see this game being released again though. It's worth buying.
