Hello. I'm new to these forums, and i was wondering how to get my steam id to work. I tried my account name, and the profile number in the link but neither worked. Any Help? |

Did you happen to put in your Profile URL name (like how mine is laharlie, instead of masteryanos) instead of your account name in the field? |

You need to go directly to your Steam profile page and find the part where you can give yourself a URL. Mine for example is http://steamcommunity.com/id/mod1982/ - you'll find it underneath Profile Name, Real Name, Headline and Summary. Add something in that box and you should find it works then, it took me forever to figure this out as not many people wanted to help out, so to save you hours of hair-pulling there you go. |

Try putting in those numbers then. Alternatively, change it to whatever your user name is via the client. |

Ohai, Pharaoh Man. Anyway, I assume you have the Steam Client right? Here's what you'll want to do: >Open Steam and log in (if it doesn't already do that) >Go to community >From there click profile >Actions (On the right), Edit my Profile >Find the 'Custom URL' section and enter something (eg. Forte58). Ideally your account name, but whatever works. >Save your changes >Enter the EXACT thing you entered for your custom URL (just what you added, the rest doesn't matter) here. >Save your changes here >??? >PROFIT! EDIT: Clients a no go? Try connecting through the site then. You can probably edit it there in a similar fashion. Honestly if it ain't working after that I have no idea what to tell you. Also try not to double/triple/etc. post if you can help it. There's an edit button to the bottom left of all your posts. |P |

well, I figured out how to set a custom URL. Dumbass, i am http://geekgreek.com/picz/yoda_fail.jpg But one last question: Do i enter in the full URL, or only the /id part?
