Please forgive me for bringing this up again, yet I feel it it necessary for me to do so. After talking with a few people about this entire situation I've come to realize that I need to officially apologize. However, before I do so I want to explain the entire situation for those that may have heard only half of it, or are simply unaware. I've been on SB for years. I have put so much time and effort into SB, nearly failing high school, and have spent a good portion of my life here. I also want to state that I never wanted to be a mod. I'm not saying that being a mod was a bad thing, but I simply didn't, and I simply don't, care for the position at all. What I do care about was/is maintaining the rp section. I was happy being an RP Mod. So this apology isn't to beg, request, or ask for a title. This apology is for my own sake, as well, to do just that, apologize. I have a friend that is a bit younger than me. We were in the same drama class in high school, until he moved. We still keep in contact from time to time, visit each other and so on. I trusted this person with my account and information. Why? Because I saw him as a trustworthy friend. We shared the same passion and mind set for rping, so whenever I was away, or whenever he was over, he would cover for me and let me know what was going on in the rp section. I was away, meaning away from laptop, for an entire weekend. Varies people, even some members here, can testify to that via txt message. During my absence my friend decided to check the forum. Now here is where things get fuzzy for me because I'm not even sure what he was thinking. All I know is that he supposedly joked about kicking Gold from the tournament. If he was actually joking or not, or simply made a bad call and was trying to cover it up I don't know.(most likely trying to cover it up.) Also, according to a admin here, he banned me. Or the way it was told to me, I banned myself. First off, I don't see how that is possible for a mod to ban them self. All I know is when I came back I couldn't log on, and it said I was banned until a certain date. I contacted Cy and asked what was going on. He linked me the entire ordeal, to which I flipped out. Trying to convince anyone that this wasn't me wasn't happening. Once my ban was removed I didn't even bother posting anything. Why? Because I was in such a shocked state that I didn't know how to come back here and explain everything, even more so when everything I was telling Cy was being chewed up and thrown back at my face. Everyone was more than pissed, I get that. Yet what hurts me more than anything, was mostly everyone actually believe that I would do something this idiotic. I've spent most of my life on here. I put so much into getting where I was, I poured out my life into this forum, and everyone thinks that I would just throw it away, for what? Who in the right mind would just tear up everything he worked for? Why would anyone do this? I was hurt, angry, sad, frustrated, ashamed, and utterly ruined. A very VERY small few bothered to ask if I was okay, if I in fact had things going on in my life that would cause me to do such a thing. Everyone else just assumed I was an ass-hat and would screw not only the tournament, but my entire reputation here. Having said all that, I was advise that not saying anything at all was like I was running away from all this, and leaving it unresolved. So I'm here to tell everyone that I'm sorry, for everything. Also, I want to apologize for my friend for being an idiot. I want to point out that I did not tell him to come here and say sorry. I also believe his parents wouldn't have made him say sorry. Then again, I could be wrong. Either way, his half-ass sorry doesn't help anything, so I apologize for that. We did get in an argument, his parents did hear us, and they did punish him from what I was told. As to why he made it his business to say sorry in such a manner is beyond me. Lastly, even if no one believe a word I just typed, I'm here to 'atone' for what happened, as someone advised me to do. I'm not here to debate, or argue, or fed this situation any more. I'm here to wrap it up and be done with it. As I told one of the mods, at this point clearing my name is pointless. I know I didn't do it, I found out who did it, and gave him what was coming to him. And I'm fine with just that. I'm still debating if returning here is something I should do. Not because of what happened, but simply because my life is busy. The main things keeping me here was being a mod, and the tournament. If I do not return then for those that want to keep in contact with me can pm for my msn and skpe. Lastly I want to apologize to DF and Bliz for having the tournament dumped on them because of all this. Also, to all the rps I was involved, I'm sorry I dropped out without any notice. I hope all of you, if not then some of you, can forgive me for all of this, as though I didn't cause this directly, this whole thing is still my fault no matter how you see. Silver lining, now I know I can't be so trustworthy with people, now I know who my true friends are, if I have any at all. Don't be confused, I'm not trying to play a sympathy card, I'm realizing that people aren't who they seem to be. |

Wow, nice to see you did such a good job with the tournament you pulled rank on me and D'Metal on to get. Oh that's right boys and girls, he was going to abuse his position as a moderator to take the tournament from me and my partner in crime if we didn't relinquish control. So bravo there. I'm not exactly sure 100% what went down, given my lurking tendencies, but if there's something to be learned from all this it would be that no matter how much you feel you know somebody, or how much you consider them a friend, you shouldn't give your account information to said friend. |

So, one mistake and it's "leper, outcast, unclean," MoD? Me, I consider myself one of L's friends, so I'm biased, but I'm all for letting bygones be bygones, though I'm also hoping that L will be more careful in the future, provided he gets the opportunity again. |

Well, no offense, but while you acted different, it's kinda hard to believe that a "friend" did all this. I mean, what else could we have believed at the time? Of course, that doesn't matter. I find this... rather hard to believe, no offense, but I'll believe you, and it doesn't really matter. I have tons of friends but I would never give even my closest account information, but you accepted full responsibility for everything anyway. So if you return and decide to stay, welcome back. Hopefully we can just forget about this once this is over with. |

Because I considered you a friend. And no, this is not an epic lolz topic. As you linked, I know how to do one, to which I would have done it already if it was one. I don't mess with my entire reputation. If I was going to do one, I'd use another account, not my own. Plus, some of my friends got hurt during this, that isn't something I'd be willing to do for lolz. Obviously you don't know me at all, which goes the same way, I thought I knew you but I guess not. As for everyone else(the other three that posted), I've known him for a long time. I trusted him with more than my account. Because that is what close friends do, trust each other. He trusted me, and I trusted him. And yes, its hard to believe, I understand that. I'm not asking people to believe me, I'm asking for forgiveness. I read the topic when it happened. I'm not sure if i should forgive you or not. I was never in the RP tourney but I saw what went down. I'm willing to just forget it and move on. you guys might be mad at me for this, but I never was in the tourney to begin with, and I don't hold grudges. |

I know I don't usually post in these these things, but I thought that I should at least say one thing on L's behalf. MoD, I'm sure you don't believe L. I'm actually still a little skeptical myself, but that's not the point. I'm not even going to try to get you to forgive him. The point is that maybe you shouldn't look at this the way you are. I see it like this: Maybe there's a valid reason for him to be on this site for so long without getting banned. This may sound like a lot of bull, but it's not impossible. Besides, he's taking responsibility for his actions, and it's not like he's begging to be a Mod again or anything. In fact, I don't think he's asking for anything other than a simple "You're forgiven". One more thing, though I know this sounds cheesy. People change. Edited by Amarok, Jun 21 2012, 10:46 AM.

Staff has been privy to a lot of information ever since this incident broke out that normal users have not, because we honestly tried to get to the bottom of this once we found out that L had been banned from his own account. However, the things we've managed to find out since then have added up to such a contradictory and inconclusive state that no one on staff has been the least bit happy with this entire fiasco every single time it's come up in some form. I'm still not happy with it much less the way this topic's been handled, but frankly I figured those thoughts are irrelevant. You've managed to take responsibility for what has happened; fine. Let's sweep all of this under the rug and get back to the normal routine, and let this be a lesson to everyone- Don't frickin' give your account out to anybody unless you're prepared for the consequences of their actions. |

I figured I might as well throw in my two cents about all this, since I was there when it went down and have been following it ever since. I don't really believe the story. Just doesn't seem likely to me. Furthermore, I've not much liked you due to somewhat similar reasons, even before that; though, to be honest, I've never really known you well, anyways. So I don't really have much reason to just believe the story based on your character, just on whether or not it's actually believable. And quite frankly, I don't think it is. There's a person behind what you usually say around here, what you're saying now, and what you said in the OOC chat. Then there's the person who was being forced by his parents under threat of grounding to apologize on your behalf. The person behind the OOC chat and the person forced to apologize are quite obviously, by way of their personality and typing styles, not the same person. The person behind who you usually are and the one behind the OOC chat seem a much better pair, and the one behind the forced apology is nothing like either. Even if I were to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe your story, you certainly shouldn't have allowed someone who could have had the potential to do this access to your account. Hell, if I were a mod, I wouldn't allow anyone access to my account, anyways. Furthermore, if the story were true, I'm not sure why you've bothered telling it. Hopefully you realize how ridiculous and unbelievable it sounds. Were it me, I would have accepted responsibility, made amends best I could, and pushed the person truly responsible out of my life. I wouldn't have bothered trying to convince anyone of my innocence via such a story, no matter how true it is. I don't care for people asking for forgiveness, and just expecting me to give it. If you want my forgiveness, I think you'd be better off trying to prove it. Stop wallowing around and groveling on your knees for mercy. Show us that you're truly sorry that this has happened, whether it was your fault or not. |

Last thing I'll say, pertaining to the last post made. Yes, you don't know me very well. I'm stubborn and I fight for things I believe is right. The staff knows this, some people on SB know this. I don't back down that easily if I strongly believe that I choice I made was the right choice. The biggest character flaw of this entire thing was that my friend did back down and turned it into a joke. I wouldn't do that. Even if I was dead wrong I'd fight it till no end. And eventually I'd admit I was wrong. Also, according to the way you would of handle it, you'd be lying. I don't care if that lie would of made me look better off, I would rather get thrashed about, knowing I told the truth, then sucker everyone into believing a lie just so I could look good for everyone, just so I can give people what they want to believe. The truth is the truth, like it or not. How do you expect me to regain people's trust by telling them a lie to make things 'better off' for me. Also, this is me trying to prove that I'm honestly sorry. How else do you expect me to prove it to everyone? And no, I'm not begging, don't be confused here. I'm simply asking. As I stated before, I'm hoping at least some of you can do that. If not, then as the person who advised that I'd do this told me, it wasn't even worth posting this topic. This is the reason why I fought with myself to not say anything. Honestly, I've already said sorry to Gold, who was the one that was affect by this the most. He found it in himself to forgive me. He didn't go on a rant telling me that I need to beg him or prove to him that I'm truly sorry. That is what true friends do. With that said, I've apologized and taken full responsibility. And once again, I can careless if anyone believes me. I've done what I came here to do, I've made a bold move by even making this topic. I'm not gonna jump through hoops just to prove myself. Find it in yourself to forgive or don't, don't speak for everyone thinking you know where they're hearts are. Not everyone is like you. |

Come on, guys. Really, think about it. L is a good guy, and we all know that wouldn't do something this idiotic. And MoD (and I know if he sees this he'll call trollin') is usually hellbent on making people out to seem like trolls or they had done something wrong. And besides, L apologized, and it was sincere. I know it was, for a good reason. And if you really think about it, it was about a roleplay. A simple RP. We can have more, it's not like he killed somebody. L's my friend, and I like him. It's been weeks now, and he was worried about it this whole time. Can't everyone just cut him some slack? |

Note... Quite frankly I care little whether someone has been allowed to use L's account, that's his and their choice alone. Always the optional changing passwords immediately after. Now about this cause of event that happened earlier. Shit! We all make mistakes don't we. It's questionable why so many folks around here picks side, whether they believe in L's story or not. I'd say the one member enough to have a reasonable saying is Star. Yet I would certainly not hold anyone a grudge for an extensive time, unless it continues, or whether it's been an actual personal dispute. This was his wrongdoing, how he wishes to handle the situation we've already witnessed. At least he only wishes to return back to our community, it ain't exactly like he begs for his positions being returned. I don't blame him, the forum's been a long lasting struck for many of us. Having to abandon our internet home after such a long time, that'd be almost heartbreaking for some. Heh! I ain't counting with everyone just saying. |
