Name: Michael the HedgeFox Age: 15 Species: HedgeFox Gender: Male Fur Color: Body is red, has a water drop symbol on his right arm, one of his tails are green, and the other is cyan; both tails have a black stripe right before the tip of his tail, which is white. Family: Parents were assonated the day after his birth, treats his best friend like a little brother. Eye Color: His eyes are sort of a dark aqua color. Attire: Green shoes with silver stripes in the middle, sweat bands on each wrist, The sweat bands each have soccer ball symbols in the middle of them; he also has a golden necklace with a water drop at the center of it. Personality: Normally relaxed, but would anger quickly if a friend is in danger. Bio: (I know this is kind of an unoriginal backstory but.....) Michael was born in SeaSide City. However, a day after his birth, his parents were assonated. The assassin left Michael in the forest to die (please note that Michael remembers NONE of this and thinks that he was born in the forest). But Michael quickly befriended the forest animals and had plenty of time to relax and explore. He also has been very protective of his friends because he thinks that they might leave him and he would be alone, which he hates. Thus creating his personality. He then later met Calvin when he was 13 and the two have been best friends ever since. Elemental Type: Water Powers: Can fly with his Fox tails, can control water a little bit, and can spin his tails while running to go faster. His water necklace protects him from any fire attacks. Likes: being in water, flying around, relaxing, hanging out with his friends, and playing video games. Dislikes: Fire (despite one of his best friends being able to control fire), being stressed, being stuck in small places, and of course, evil. Normal friends: Cameron the Gizoid, & Yellow the RoboHog. Close friends: Calvin the Shape Shifting Fox, & Doug the DevilChidna. Rival: Metamichael (Supposed to be good, but got turned EEEEvil.) Relationship Status: Single, but has a crush on Lily smasher, another one of my FCs. Pet(s): Charcoal the dark swim Chao. At first, he was just me in a red hedgehog body, but he's SERIOUSLY evolved since then, as you can plainly see; but, as with pretty much all FCs, he can get better! Anyways, that's my FC! Feel free to give constructive criticism, and please don't complain about SO many people using the "parents killed after birth" story, I'm trying to make it work. The description works fine in this case. The FC Generator is limited on options and isn't that creative to begin with (hell even the Gaia avatar designs I use are limited to a degree). I will agree with the OP that the backstory is a tad unoriginal. But the rest of it looks good. |

apart from being a bit unusual because hedgehogs normally hate water, even if it's a hedgefox, I have to admit, this character's rather good |

Thanks for the nice comments, you guys!  Also, I have a bit of a confession to make... I do have two different pictures of him, buuut....The first is one my sister drew on paper, so I don't knw how to post it here, and the second one is a recolor, because I have no drawing talent of my own. And plus, the recolor itself is pretty sloppy... So yeah, I'd love to post a picture, but, those two pictures are the only ones I have currently. So, yeah, any problems I could iron out/suggestions to make him better? Edited by Cube, Jun 19 2012, 12:31 PM.

I like foxes But its gonna be hard for any fox to top tails in terms of character originality or sexiness. I'm not sure what a hedgefox is. Well sort of but its probably not what you are thinking. I love the song "I can walk on water, I can fly" but if you really want to make Michael successful, 1. Make his weapon a microphone. (get it? a mic!) 2. be open to changes. Species, names, etc. 3. Work on word play jokes. What is funny about hedgehogs? |

1: A HedgeFox is a combination of a Hedgehog and a Fox. Reason I made Michael a HedgeFox is because I like to make my FCs be mixed species. Why do I like that? I have no idea... 2: Notice how I didn't add a "Weapon(s)" part. =P I tend to not give my FCs weapons because I don't really like 'em. I feel it gives an FC a bit of an unfair advantage, and plus, he's got perfectly good water powers to fight with. 3: Jokes are something that I love to make.....Outside of making FCs, that is. Reason being is; I'd rather not have the extra effort of making good jokes that people will laugh at, (not groan, mind you.) when trying to make a good FC is enough effort as it is. So, yeah. trueblue52, it seems like our opinions are VERY different from each other. Thanks for taking the time to comment and give suggestions, though!

But sonic is full of puns. at least the original characters. Sonic is a hedge hog, which means he doesn't "beat AROUND the bush". A hedgefox is a totally different animal and the pun is gone I'm not saying that I don't like what you've done so far, I just think you can push it a little bit further Edited by TrueBlue, Jul 3 2012, 05:22 PM.

You don't seem to understand. Sure, you could make a joke out of pretty much any animal, but no animal was named with puns in mind. I mean, I didn't make up my mixed species because I was trying to make jokes.

Not really. It still has the part you used to make the pun, doesn't it? Besides, like I said earlier, I didn't make up my mixed species because I was trying to make jokes. Plus, I don't even LIKE puns.
I fixed number 2 on your original post for you. Now that you brought the point, I can see why you brought up the puns, but I'll pass on the puns. Reason being is because: 1: I don't like puns, in general. 2: I like to be serious when making an FC, and don't want to make unnecessary jokes when making an FC is tough enough already.
