"Why the hell am I the one having to go all the way out here?" Ren thought as she landed on the ground, creating a large splash as her water dissipated into the air. She was standing on a lone island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It had a small forested area behind a small wooden house. Power cables were everywhere and what looked like a rather large generator could be seen looming over the treetops. She made her way over to the little house and tried to see if she could peek inside. Sadly all of the windows were boarded up so she inevitably knew she would have to go inside without knowing what awaited her. As she made her way up the steps onto the porch she had a strange feeling like she was about to walk into something that she would soon regret walking into. She placed her hand on the doorknob and slowly turned, listening as the door creaked open. Inside it was pitch black save for a lone monitor on the far wall. The moment she set foot on the carpet, lights came on and the room was bright as could be. There was a large pod next to the computer. It was filled with a pinkish liquid that was slowly draining out of it. Her footsteps seemed to echo as she walked across the carpet. This place seemed deserted. "Where am I?" she wondered as she sat down in the chair. "How much do I want to bet that Koga didn't even look at the computer at his target location. First he goes missing and then the computer in that room vanishes. Now I'm having to follow the next lead. I swear if this is some kind of prank that Sera is pulling... Well it won't be pretty that's for sure," she said as her fingers went to work on the keyboard as she searched the hard drive. All that seemed to be on it was the data for a game called 'Digital Dive.' The file itself seemed strange. It kept changing size as if the file was gaining and losing data. It changed second by second. She stood from the computer and made her way to the pod. The computer was obviously of no help so her only option was to see what this tube had to offer her in terms of knowledge for this mission. "Something tells me I'm gonna regret this..." she thought as she pulled on the handle and opened the pod. As she stepped into the center the door closed and the pinkish liquid rose from the bottom again. After it was full she began to feel slightly light-headed. Suddenly a flash of light appeared in a flat-line on the outer edge. It came on again and began to rise and fall as if it was scanning her. A few seconds afterwards all went black. "Create a username, please?" an almost monotone voice rang in her ears. "Well If I must..." she thought. R3N_HAR1N3 was what she ultimately decided on. "Username accepted. Welcome to Digital Dive. You are now being logged in. A full-briefing of what lies ahead will be given to you after you enter. Your body will be stored away until the time you have beaten the game. If you can. To win your freedom you must beat the game and if not forever be trapped inside to wander as a lost soul." The voice in her head subsided and her vision cleared revealing a lobby area. There were several doors scattered about. However the only active one was in front of her. Above it the words "Island" were written into the frame. There was another door with the words "Cloud" on the frame but it was bright red instead of the plain concrete of the door itself. She didn't think much of it since the door didn't seem to be active anyway and her attention quickly shifted to the door before her. "Well let's get on with it then," she sighed and then burst through the door and down the corridor beyond it. |

"Hmm... Looks save for now." Kaliko thought to herself. She was perched on a rooftop. She was drawn to a door that belong to the building across from her. "I've detected no time glitches or corruption... You sure I'm in the right place?" She spoke to her communicator on her wrist. It replied with a man's voice and glowed each time the guy on the other end spoke. "Well, we wouldn't have sent you there if there wasn't. Maybe its inside the house and hasn't spread yet. Take a look anyways and figure out what's causing our systems to pin point a problem in this area." As he spoke she played with her cat ears, scratching them from boredom. She sighed when he finished as she eyes closed. "Sure, why not. I'll report back soon." She grabbed her Time Sweeper weapon from the strap on her back and held it firmly in front of her. With a deep breath she leaps down and lands gently. Looking across the street the place looked deserted. It was night time so she figured everyone was sleeping. She quickly and silently moved to the door and leaned against the wall next to the door frame that was closest to the door nob. Resting her ear against the wall she tried to listen. She could hear the faint sound of something running. Maybe a machine, like a computer. She then grabbed the door nob and opened the door slowly. Once inside she looked around. No was one was here. She was right though. A computer was on. She didn't bother checking it. She has been doing this a long time, and a computer that looks as plan and normal as this one doesn't cause time corruptions or glitches. "Oh... What's this?" She asked herself as she sees a pod. She tucked her sweeper away and walked to the odd looking object. She places her hands on her hips and tilts her head to her right. "Strange... This doesn't look like it belongs here." She says to herself. She then notices a digital particle appear then disappear within t he pod. Her eyes sharpen as she nods to herself. "This must be it then." She comments, then walked into the pod. She didn't expect for it to encase her which made her yelp a bit. "Uh-oh... Can someone please-" "Create a username, please." She looked around as she heard a voice. She had to think for a moment. Maybe this was a device that would give her more answers. "Um... Sweeper Kaliko...?" "Username accepted. Welcome to Digital Dive. You are now being logged in. A full-briefing of what lies ahead will be given to you after you enter. Your body will be stored away until the time you have beaten the game. If you can. To win your freedom you must beat the game and if not forever be trapped inside to wander as a lost soul." "What!? This is not a game! Hey!! Let me out!" Through her shouting she somehow managed to find herself in the lobby with several does. All of were deactivated accept one. She looked around for a moment. It appears that she was transported to another place. She thought that only the Time Factory could transport her to different places. "Come in Time Factory, this is Kaliko..." She didn't get a reply. She didn't bother trying again as she had a hunch that she was now out of range. Which was impossible since the Time Factory can reach her no matter where she is. "Well... Looks like I'll have to find a way out then." She comments. She then headed through the door and down the corridor. My character

Ren had slowed to a walking pace as she exited the corridor. Before her was a beach that stretched both to her left and right before being enclosed by trees. In the distance she could make out small land masses in the ocean. "A tropical area? Wasn't expecting that," she mused as she walked to the water's edge and culled the liquid from the ocean into a a small sphere to test her abilities. "Well it seems I can still control water," she sighed with relief. "Now let's test some ice," she said a grin crossing her lips as she changed the orb into a solid piece of ice and hurled it into the sky before shattering it, sending shards flying. She thought she could hear footsteps from the doorway behind her. Coming closer she could make out the figure of a character. Human or not she couldn't tell but she would soon find out. She began culling water into the form of a boat and then molded it into a large icy substance until the boat was perfectly shaped. "It may be hot here but so long as I stay conscious this should hold," she mused and then waited for the person to make his/her way out of the door. |

Kaliko walked forward through door. She was cautious. Her eyes seemed pleased at what she was seeing though. It was like a dream. Very tropical, like a dream vacation. "Focus, Kaliko. We need a way out." She spoke to herself in a soft voice. She soon sees another person ahead of her. She smiled a little, feeling a bit better that she wasn't alone. Then again, there was no telling who this person was. She looked friendly enough, so what harm could saying hi do? "Hello! Can you understand me?" She called out. Kaliko was use to traveling to many different places, and some of the time the people around her didn't speak the same language. "My name is Kaliko, and I'm a time sweeper!" She calls out again without waiting for a reply. She moved close so she wouldn't need to shout. This is when she caught sight of the boat made of ice. It was nicely formed, yet out of place for a tropical setting. "Huh..." She mumbles to herself. She stood before the girl and inspected the boat with her eyes. She then nods her head, thinking that is wasn't a bad creation. Not to mention that it hasn't melted. She then waited for a reply from the girl, smiling a bit to show that she meant no harm. |

"Time sweeper?" Ren mumbled to herself. "She must have detected the same anomaly that we found," she thought before saying, "Kaliko, was it? I am Ren Harine," she bowed, "Pleased, to make your acquaintance. I don't know how you got here but I'd greatly appreciate the help in getting out of here," she said and then turned her attention to the nearest island. She lifted her right arm and pointed at it before saying, "I believe that will be our first destination. There seems to be some kind of pyramid structure on it and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that we should probably check there. It seems to be the mostly likely choice." She then hopped into the boat and took a seat at the helm. The boat itself wasn't very large. It was big enough to fit the two of them comfortably. However it didn't seem to look like it had any way of moving save for being pushed by the waves, which normally wouldn't have gotten them anywhere. "Don't worry. It's safe," she said turning to look at Kaliko. Her eyes seemed to shine from the glare from both the sun above and ice beneath her. In fact her hair seemed to form ice crystals that appeared and disappeared as she sat in place which gave her an almost shimmering appearance. Her blue hair seemed to flow in the wind. It was down to her shoulders and lay perfectly almost as if it had been touched up before hand. |
