Is this because one of the mods didn't approve, or are they just busy? I used the report function to ask the mods if they did/did not approve of my name change (I thought sending the same PM to each individual member of staff would be spamming). One of them read it but it was ignored. So how do you tell if your name change gets dissapproved? Will a mod send you a PM? Or will you never know? If not, we would have to nag a random mod to see if they dissapproved someone's name change.

Is the name request still there? Like do you still have that option where you can undo the request if you want to? If it's disapproved, I would imagine it being gone and perhaps notifying you, but of course, I never actually had a situation where my new name could be rejected so... shrug.

I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	As far as I'm aware, name changes aren't all that transparent. Members do not know who approves or disapproves their name change and when, which in turn makes it incredibly difficult to get in touch with the staff member who handled your name. Overall though, names are changed or denied whenever we feel like checking up on them; it's a pretty frivolous privilege, so I'd imagine no one on the team considers them a priority in any capacity. As a result, nagging the team and using the report system for it isn't in anyone's best interest.

For users with the same issue, if you want to see if your name got approved/dissapproved, go to the change username part of user controls and check if you can see that you can undo your request. If it's still there, it's awaiting approval. If not, it was dissapproved.
