Maybe it has something special about it for example, Echidnas are one of the only mammals that hatch from an egg. Thats cool Try to be as specific as possible. Scientific Names are a plus. Try to stray away from saying something like "I like dogs" or "I like horses". 1. Name of Animal Species 2. Description of Animal Species 3. Why do you like it?

[insert something cheerful here] Posts: 8,037 Group: Former Monarchs Member #9,289 Joined: August 20, 2008	Not sure I understand what you define as an "exotic" animal, but red pandas and Tasmanian devils seem like curious little critters to me. Red pandas primarily because they have such a beautiful color pattern and because for whatever reason, they often strike me as thin, red raccoons, and well, when I was little, I absolutely adored raccoon characters (mostly animated, admittedly). The story around Tasmanian devils is different.You know Taz. EVERYONE knows Taz. When I was small, I couldn't decide if I liked Taz or not. Growing up, starting to miss the awesomeness of Looney Tunes and heading back to relive them, I definitely loved Taz. But then one day I wondered, "How the heck are Tasmanian devils in real life? I know Taz is an unrealistic, exaggerated interpretation, but how unrealistic and exaggerated is he?" So I googled it up, and it's like a completely different critter. I honestly don't know who came up with the idea of making Taz's species a Tasmanian devil when there's absolutely NOTHING about him that relates to the actual animal, other than being a carnivore. Don't get me wrong; I still love our animated devil. But real life devils are cuter (in appearance) and more interesting, IMO.

I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	I would imagine he means an exotic animal to mean a species that is not fully domesticated, e.g. a wild animal. Anyway, my consistent favorite is the cheetah. Look at this athletic badass. Look at it. It is absolutely gorgeous. They're not only amazing in their unique body structure relative to other felines, but subsequently their stalking abilities. They will lie in wait and calculate for an hour or longer in the blazing savannah sun in order to properly insure a kill. And of course, 70+ mile per hour sprints. Just amazing. And they make the best sound ever.
