So Yeah, This is apparently a comparison shot of what the Wii U controller looked like bake at last years E3 and apparently the finished article below.![]() If this is real and not a fake then not much has changed, The circle pads have been replaced with true analog sticks, The Start and Select buttons have been moved to the side and a mysterious black button has been added to the left. The biggest news from this shot (If the shot doesn't turn out to be fake of course ) is that the Wii U name is not being changed. |

Where's the source for this? But yeah, having control sticks instead of circle pads for the controller is a plus in my book. This supposed new version looks more polished up and better. Looks like it will be easier and less awkward to press the start/select buttons. A name change would be nice, but eh, oh well. .-. |

I haven't been keeping up with this, but ugh it looks so ugly. D: I was excepting a U-shaped controller, not an enlarges Gameboy Advanced with DS touch screen. |D |

The controller looks alright. My feelings toward the console itself are kind of neutral tho'. Nothing that has really grabbed my attention yet but nothing that has really repelled me either. *shrug* I guess I'll see what happens when it's out. |

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
|
The only problem is if it will be awkward to hold and play with. I imagine that it wont weigh that heavy, but the square style shape bugs me. |

Not sure if you know, and I know it kinda looks like it, but the controller's actually not that big, so it wouldn't weigh heavy. It's actually not that much bigger then a gamecube controller I think. I might be wrong though. But it's actually not that big, so I wouldn't worry about it weighing too heavy. .-. Can't wait till this year's E3. Definitely interested in seeing this possible final version and how games will take advantage in this. |

From what I've read the screen will come in use as a motion tracker for Aliens CM. Cute shit if you ask me. It does seem quite peculiar that the name "Wii U" is on there and a mentioning of a name change has been spoken. Maybe "U" might stand for something tasteful. |

U will probably stand for "You". Anywho, it does look a bit awkward, the buttons seem to be a mix of Wii and DS style buttons, the screen looks big enough for what it will be used for, if it needs to be any bigger then that's what the telly is for. How are the games being handled, are they on discs, carts or will they be downloadable? And will you put them into the Console itself or the Controller? |

There will be a simultaneous release of both a physical disc format and downloadable from an online store. All games will be put into the console, The Controller itself is not a stand-alone gaming device. |

Mushroom Hill Act 2

The controller looks original and fun. The ability to play with the screen on the controller and the TV off is amazing. Although I do wonder how motion controls will work while playing that way. I’m going to go off on a bit of rant here, but without the negative connotations that surround the word. It’s pertaining to the WiiU, but if you think it’s too off topic I’ll create a new thread. Some more possible leaks and details, some pertaining to the controller. It could support two controllers after all. I sure hope the details about Valve are true. Portal ports could be very awesome and a good fit with the Wii U controller. |

I kind of dont like that price tag on it. They may be exaggerating here because Nintendo always liked to keep their home consoles at a $300 maximum. I hope at least. And the Portal thing does sound really cool. |

Huh? What's that post above me say?

The controller itself looks like an oversized Sega Game Gear. o__O With that said, I'm not too sure of what to think. The controller seems... rather big, and the current price tag seems like a little much, considering most Nintendo consoles have generally always been less than $300, as noted before. D| Hopefully I'll be impressed in the future with what the Wii-U has to offer, though. |3; |
