He is playful though, not a tightass like you would expect a diva to be. He is actually a really cool guy once you get to know him. His exterior stings, but his insides are all jello... But when people like his jealous family members or dr. robotnik are mean to him it makes him go overboard. He will cry about it for days. He also gets attached to people really easily and will also go overboard with PDA (public display of affection). He gives the crew presents all the time - Mostly sweets - to show how much he cares. He will hug them but they will just get that giant sweat drop above their head. Except knuckles who seems oblivious to his PDA problems. He is kind of ditsy when it comes to everyday tasks such as doing dishes, cooking, cleaning, etc. But he is actually suprisingly smart. Overall, he's a big mess waiting to happen. But it always turns out for the better. Personal Relations- Close Friends: Knuckles. They become fast friends. His pillow has a full moon on it. - Surfing (and stinging surfers) Dislikes: Hot foods, Cinammon, Vinegar Prefered Food: Jello, Jelly, Jam, Preserves, Conserves, Jelly Beans, ABC gum. He also likes Mayo (don't ask) and Yams(again, don't ask!) Prefered Drink: Diet Coke Favorite Music: J.Lo (thats a joke haha), Beach Boys Vehicles: 1. Mayflower - a windjammer sea vessel 2. Changes colors depending on what he eats. Otherwise he's white Eye Color: Changes to complement his skin. His pupils "grin" if you look directly in them. Hair Color: Same as his skin only more pronounced Hair Style: Its Angel Hair (like the pasta) He puts it up on the side or up in a full ponytail. Sometimes he'll let his hair down. Nose: He thinks he has one, but he doesn't know where it is. Ears: None Tail: None. Well he has a cape looking thing. Those are actually his "oral arms". Also, his arms get confused for tails a lot. Build: Scrawny but proud of it. Other Features: Jiggles like jello. Has some rings on his head (they are actually gonads but thats not important) He also has atlantean letters on him. He has a missing tooth(from a cavity) Attire: Blue Jeans and a belt. Wears a rusty coin as a necklace. His shoes are specially made and have a crescent on it (The Brand name is called Nice, which is written in rubber on the bottom of his shoes. The Shoe style is "Happy Feet") Combat Information- Battle Psychology: like a kami kaze. He likes to sting a lot but it doesn't work on robots. He is surrounded by water constantly because of atlantean magic. Weaponry & Items: His rusty coin necklace can short circuit robots if it gets inside their mainframe. Spells & Techniques: 1. Jello Shot - his signature attack. He rolls into a ball (like sonic) and does a kami kaze attack. 2. Geode Bomb - a minor attack, he tosses an exploding geode bomb which explodes in an array of crystals, prisms and rainbows. 3. Armageddon - Jamie's angel hair folds out into a dozen extra arms. He "hugs" onto the enemy and lots of little jellyfish rip it apart, or he squeezes them to bits 4. Fore! - Jamie will shout "Fore!" to let the player know he got a critical hit. Secret Technique: 1. Cave in - This is a secret technique, it requires a minigame and a little bit of button mashing. It is not useful in the levels most of the time, but must be used to open certain (also secret and doubly advanced) levels 2. Slipstream - Its not the best way to travel faster than light. Its just the only way. Skills & Aptitudes: He is very fast (as fast as sonic if not faster) He is also very loud. He is unaffected movement wise by water. There's not even a splash and he doesnt have any resistance from it. He is an excellent Boxer. Weaknesses: Electricity will kill him. He also has little body structure. His weakness is Vinegar, which weakens his stingers. It doesn't do actual damage to him. Though if he were to be roboticized, one would need vinegar to disable his nematocysts in order to rip his robot arms off. History- See Later post Author's Sidenotes- Trivia: Sonic thinks he will get cavities if he hangs around Jamie too long. Chaos Emerald Effect: Flowers grow when he's in this form and he can fly. He shines in a myraid of different colors. Rings change colors randomly in this form. Other Relics unique to him: There are special Canopic Jars hidden in the Zones. These Jars contain Jelly, and will likely be required in order for him to either: a: unlock the strongest Malo Kingi b: activate one of his vehicles c: unlock a special move d: unlock a level e: (the most boring) - unlock a special scene Catch Phrases: 1. "Don't worry, this will only sting a little!" 2. "Friends stick up for eachother no matter what!" 3. "Sweeeeeet!" 4. "Jamalicious" 5. "Talk to the hand!" 6. "Send em to the glue factory!" 7. "Have you hugged your jell-o today?" 8. "Put your dukes up!" 9. "Smucker up!" Other: He has helpers, small jellyfish called Malo Kingi. There names are: 1. Knox 2. Concord 3. Marmalade 4. Chutney 5. Agar 6. Confetti 7. Konjac Pets: 1. A large turtle named Deuce. He rides on it sometimes Fast Facts: 1. Box Jelly is one of the most venomous species on earth (def. top 10, sometimes even ranking 1st!) [NOTE: Venom is INJECTED by fangs/stings - bees, snakes; Poison is ABSORBED, through skin - frog skin] 2. Box jellyfish are known as the "suckerpunch" of the sea not only because their sting is rarely detected until the venom is injected, but also because they are almost transparent. 3. Sea turtles, because of their thick skin, are apparently unaffected by the sting and eat box jellies. 4. In Australia, the highest risk* is between October and May. Uh bhff 1. How does an anthro jellyfish work? I mean, from your description, only disturbing things just came into my mind. 2. So what, let me get this straight, he possibly takes around a hour to cover an entire road in glue, nobody paying attention and letting him go his way, with the premise of stopping Sonic so he can help a rock-eyed spaghetti covered jellyfish help marry a bee? And basically, Sonic just says "Sure." What the hell. 3. With a title of being the sweetest guy in the world, you'd think he would have an extremely large following, girl related. So if that's the case, no one simply creates a character with chicks all over him..None. 4. Your referring to a lot of Jamies, and without explaining who exactly Jamie it is during a scene, it's extremely confusing. Mind detailing more on that? In basic, this character surely needs lots of work to do when it comes to backstories. It's incomplete, confusing and absolutely nonsensical. Edited by Clementine, May 19 2012, 08:43 AM.

This is the anatomy of a Jellyfish  CREATION NOTES: Jamie is a complex jellyfish, sort of a Mix of multiple species and families of jellyfish.  (This pic is NOT mine, only the pics of Jamie are mine, the rest are from google) For example, I want him to have the stinging power of a Box Jellyfish, the Markings of a moon jelly, the tufts of a Flower Hat Jelly, and the Tail(/Tongue) of a Cup Jelly. I am planning on working on him a lot, working mostly on facial expressions and Body Language. Though I've taken drawing classes, I'm not a cartoonist, and anthropomorphizing animals is DEFINITELY not something I've ever really tried (as all of my doodles in H.S. english classes were of humans) BACKSTORY: Jamie lives in Amentos*, a large Jellyfish City in the heart of the Ocean. They have settled down here and don't really need to leave the city, as they already have everything they need: School, video games, the worlds best medical facilities, and all the icy candy in the world. NOTE: There is a castle here where one of the levels is played. Once the jellyfish are born, they are all part of the family and they don't really have "parents" per se. The city has a hierarchy that goes as follows: 1) The Ocean's rulebook 2) The Mayor 3) The princes, selected by lottery 4) The rest of the jellies The city swears by the Ocean and its laws. The mayor is in charge of overseeing the laws. The princes' duties are to be good roll models and to help preserve the city. To be fair, they are selected by lottery. Normally, if someone is crowned who the other princes dislike, they conspire against him. Jamie "Jams" the Jellyfish is selected to be one of the Royal Princes. Unfortunately, this makes some of his friends jealous and they stop liking him. Additionally, many of the princes are stuck up and don't show him any respect. Nobody seems to think he should be a prince. He runs away one night, alone and depressed. He almost gets eaten by a monster, but he manages to somehow outsmart the monster sending it straight into the mouth of a bigger fish. As he is catching his breath, the Ocean currents start pushing him really far away from home. It pushes him into a small cave. He gets stuck and as he tries to wiggle himself out, he hits himself on a box. It is old and rusty, and the lock just falls apart. He opens it and inside is a rusty coin and an old piece of paper. The words are hard to make out... - some scribbles... "favorite so.. " is rea.. " "like the wind" "breathe." Jamie takes the coin, face glowing and starts swimming and he was like a rocket ship... It was wayyy too fast but he couldn't slow down without completely stopping. He got really hungry, too. He wanted some Jello really bad. He passed out from exhaustion and washed up on shore. Jamie wakes up to find himself surrounded by a coat of water. But he is above the surface in pure daylight. He doesn't know why but when a sea bird tries to snatch it up and he turns into a blob of mucus, he realizes why. [minigame where you get it back] Jamie travels awhile from the beach. It gets dark, and an owl scares him. He looks at it and it starts spinning its head in circles. Jamie gets dizzy and a little spooked. Finally, he finds a hive where he meets the bees. They are buzzing around upset, looking for flowers in a panic. He almost gets in a fight with one when the bee thinks he's a flower and then they sting eachother. But, he sweet talks his way out of it and somehow manages to end up back at their hive where the soldiers are asking for help. The Queen has been kidnapped by robotnik! Robotnik recently got beaten by sonic and now he is angry, trying to rebuild his cracked egg army and get revenge on sonic. He turns many of the bees into robots as well as trampling all of the flowers. Finally, Princess Maia the bee walks in. She is beautiful. She is graceful like a ballerina even when she doesn't mean to be. She is trying to keep everyone in check, but not doing a very good job. Jamie realizes he likes Maia and wants to help her. Jamie goes to check it out, and overhears the robots talking about sonic and the freedom fighters, but he is spotted and runs away. When he is finally a safe distance away, he sees sonic coming from a mile away and quickly drops some fly paper on the ground, which trips sonic up. "OWWW" says sonic as Tails clumsily trips over him, getting them BOTH stuck in the fly paper. "Who did that?!" Sonic gets angry and ready to fight. But then he looks at Jamie and starts laughing. "Who are you?! You don't look like one of robotnik's robots!" "I'm Jamie! I'm a Jam from the Ocean. I guess I'm just visiting. I'm kind of lost! Are you Sonic?" "The one and only! So Jamie, how do you like it up here in the sun?" "Its really great up here! But robots have taken over the nearby bee colony and " he gets embarassed "the princess doesn't know what to do" "Oh I get it - you want me to help you free the bees so you can impress the Princess. Well it wouldn't be the first time I helped someone get a date. Sure I'll help - but lets get out of here so we can make our plans." --------- Stage 1 - After receiving the rusty coin, Jamie travels around the Ocean practicing his new moves. Stage 2 - Jamie washes up on shore. You can practice more as you make your way towards the bee hive. Stage 3 - Jamie meets the robots. And finally meets Sonic Stage 4 + These stages will get progressively harder as you make your way to free the bees. + - as Jamie advances towards his goals of freeing the queen, he frees some jellyfish, the Malo Kingi, which had been trapped by Robotnik on the coastline in mason jars. They swear to protect him. They never leave his side. They fit snugly with him in his water bubble. They kind of look like jewelry, but they are alive. --------- End stage, as Jamie This stage is a very "messed up" stage. A time rift has been opened and you fly back and forth between the present and a few months ago. Robotnik is attempting to access his death egg which was already destroyed before the beginning of the game. (This is where he's been keeping the Queen Bee and the last of Sonic's Friends.) You must Free them, close the rift, and make it back safely to the "present". The final Boss is a robot dragon named Darwin. [This might be a good time for Team Sonic to show the Freebird Team attack animation] The team beats Robotnik and knocks him to the moon (where he belongs!) and he bounces and falls into outer space, throwing some bandaids with him (and say sorry). The queen bee is the first to be freed, and she directs the team to where the final egg capsule is. Team Sonic (all together now), unlock the complex lock on the final egg capsule. Sonic's friends, jelly beans, and lots and lots of rings come out. At the end of the game, probably as the credits are rolling, Jamie and Maia help bring the flowers back. With the help of sonic, Jamie gathers up the courage to ask Maia on a date. Jamie returns to Amentos*, but promises to come back next spring. Back home, the mayor is glad to see him and the jellies are all sorry they treated him poorly. He stands tall like a man (though he doesn't have a spine), and tells them his intentions to one day earn their respect. They make him a crown. ------------------------ If you play as Sonic, the story goes like this: Sonic is doing his usual business fighting robotnik. Same old story. Robotnik captures some of the local animals including the Malo Kingi Jellyfish (Jamie's helpers in his storyline). You kick his robot can and free the Jellies and woodland creatures and Robotnik gets mad and goes on a rampage. For the next month, everything goes fine until Sonic hears rumors that Robotnik is trying to repair his broken egg army (Apparently he never gets the message). As sonic is running on one of his missions, he gets caught in Jamie's flypaper. Jamie introduces himself and tells Sonic that he is trying to help the Bees fix their home. Sonic and Tails go on a few quests to stop Robotnik and free the bees. The quests are very similar to Jamie's except Jamie's quests are more water based (note that to Jamie, the water levels don't have any drag normally associated with Sonic - you know how if you fall in the water you move slower? Jamie is immune to that, he moves completely fluidly) In this game, sonic gets the help of a few woodland creatures to help him perform combos. This is not like Sonic colors and the wisps (I actually hated that because it kept dying with the drill guy x_X I prefer it to be more like sonic rush advance or better so you can just run with the wind and not worry about too much) -------------------- In this game plan, The Chaos Emeralds play a semi-important role, though they are not the main focus. There will be special stages, Racing, and missions to get them. There are still 7. Jamie will get a special scene with the chaos emeralds. Sonic as well will get an upgraded effect with the emeralds. Probably more visual than anything. He will alternate between yellow and gold w/ glitter as he runs and because of Jamie's special scene, This will also cause flowers to grow when sonic runs. The more flowers you grow in Super Sonic/ Superfast Jellyfish mode, the more points you get for upgrades, accessories, decorations, etc. (which there will be a lot of) Finally, as Sonic, when you beat cracked robotnik and free the queen(who ends up leaving the island to another hive, leaving the Hive to Maia), you again knock him back up into outerspace where he hits the moon (where he belongs) and out of sight. Sonic gets a special magical amulet thing that lets him move flawlessly underwater(w/out the drag). He visits Amentos with Jamie where he watches the Jellyfish make Jamie a crown. End. There is an epilogue scene where Jamie makes plans to come back next spring and he sort of Joins Sonic's crew. Sonic also gets a small polyp plant type thing which is like a branch that grows into a jellyfish colony. If Sonic is ever in trouble, it will grow into a jellyfish (clone of Jamie) Minigames: -tube race with mines/spheres to get to chaos emerald -kind of a guitar hero type segment where you have to play music to make flowers grow. There may also be guitar hero battles to get a prize missions: -You have to write a song by the end of the game to give to princess Maia or she won't go on a date with you. This affects the ending. You have to collect lyrical words. Then you have to add "beats" to it. -You have to to pick flowers and make a bouqet to impress Maia. -You have to make her candy *You see Robotnik at his worst in this game. While still intended to be light hearted at most points, Robotnik and his crew should be made to reflect the exact opposite of Jamie and Maia OTHER UPGRADES: Tails: Milky Way Mode - Tails turns kind of white and a trail of glittery milk flows behind his tails. There are occasional black polkadots (black holes) that trail behind him as well. This mode is super destructive, but grows white flowers for the mini games. Knuckles: Infra-red mode(?) JAMIE'S TAG TEAMS: W/Sonic: Fly Paper (description pending): Covers Rock W/Tails: Upper Cut (description pending): Cuts Paper W/Knuckles: Rock Sandwich(description pending): Crushes Scizzors TEAM ATTACK: W/Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles: "Freebird": Instant win in any level. Of course, instant wins are never any fun and why would you have a team of 4 ppl in the first place? Additional Character Bios Maia the Bee Nickname: Honey Description: Princess Maia is a Princess Bee. She is beautiful and golden in color. Her eyes are a dark silvery blue. She is slender and curvy and has blond bee hair which covers her head and upper body. She has 4 arms, 2 of which she keeps crossed a lot of the time in a sexy pose. She has long fairy-like bee wings. NOTE: She is NOT based on this existing cartoon(I never heard about it, but its not suprising that there's already a bee named Maya):   *NEW! 6-23-12 Attire: She wears a tiara with amber/honey like gems. She wears kind of a tutu-like garment. She also has a bee comb in her hair (i call it a bee comb but its a hair comb so don't picture bees wax) Hobbies: Dancing(ballet), (princess bees don't collect pollen) she likes to dance in the flowers and humm. Other: She has 6 sisters who all fight her in order to be the queen. None of them have much control over the chaotic bee hive with the queen gone, but Maia seems to be well liked. Mayor of Amentos* The Mayor is rlly nice. He is big and Jolly. He will likely be based on this(only more elegant, bigger, and more colorful):  The Malo Kingi These are Jamie's helpers which he finds scattered across the area as the game proceeds. I was going for something Stereotypically American. Sonic was made by Sega specifically for America. Jamie is a Jell-O (america's favorite desert) I want Jamie to fit in so I was thinking of giving him Blue Jeans and a Belt. |

Try not to relate your fan characters to OCs, eg) knuckles being uncomfortable around him, it's overdone. ;P But otherwise, pretty original with the jellyfish, but him marrying a bee? Not sure about that. I'm sure it'll come into development- however for the time being, your character does need a little work. Good luck!:] |
