Anybody care for the past?

I wondered this after talking with friends. I'm teen age, but I really dislike my past. I hate it being mentioned. My youthful innocence is just stupidity and my mistakes... I just can't laugh at them even though nobody even remembers them. No, they weren't life-changingly stupid decisions or faux paus. My friend seems to like the past, though.

So I'm asking y'all: do you remember the past with fondness, or with hate and anger at your younger self for being foolish, even though it didn't change your life. If you could go back to your young childhood without the knowledge you have, would you experience it all again?

The past is something i'd rather forget about as quickly as possible
Gonna have to agree with him here..

Pretty much sums it up. I've been there, done that. No point going back now; it's all happened. Wouldn't be as good the second time, even if I wasn't conscious of the fact that I'd done it before.

Check out my tumblr, Aggravated Anime-Adoring Australian, where I post all sorts of dumb screencaps and MS Paint edits and generally bitch and moan about stupid otaku shit.

Your topic lead me to believe this was about world history of some sort. I AM DISAPOINT. :( I was going to talk about how much I love world history, and reading and understanding the many cultures and civilizations. But I digress.

But yes, my past is my past. I do tend to contemplate and think about my past, especially the things that lead to my massive shift in spirituality from Christian, to somewhat agnostic, to pagan with lots of Hindu philosophy(Hell I might as well just say Hindu). But otherwise, I do not concern myself too much with it.

The past? yeah, unfortunately I'm one of those people who cares about the past. I had some bad memories in the past and to this day they still haunt me. It's kinda silly I know, but I can't seem to ever shake the past off. I think I'll always be like that, to be honest. Unless some kind of miracle makes me not care for the past anymore.

But, yes I care about the past. I put walls up to anyone who I don't talk to or don't know and all that so they don't know who I really am I guess. And I don't let anyone know my past, not even my best friends know my past really. And yeah. I guess I do care for the past a lot. It haunts me still and stuff. And maybe some day I will not care about the past, but as of now I do care for it.

You won't get much closer, 'till you sacrifice it all.
Oh god, I'm just a teenager and I already am relishing memories from a couple of years back. And then again, there are moments I think of- just embarrassing ones, thankfully- that I cringe when my mind just decides to wonder to it.

My family have always considered myself as a seriously deep thinker/daydreamer, and I consider it more of a blessing rather a curse, it doesn't mean I'm depressed or anything. ;P
