With the amount of trouble they had to go through in even re-airing the original block in the first place and getting Steve Blum to help with entirely new bumpers, as well as lobbying for its return in the first place, I don't think it's all that necessary to question whether these guys are capable of airing a solid block of anime. Screw you guys, I'm excited. Hopefully the Adult Swim people come to my school soon so I can mob them with thank-yous. |

I don't know... timezones already screw a lot of stuff for me. This sounds like another thing that happen while I sleep. But if I can work with the time set, I'll definitely watch it. Vacations are right around the corner with is always a plus. |

Even though I've never heard of this channel, Where there's anime discussion, I'll always be there! Magical otaku Crusader-kun, here to help! "Please don't ever do that again." Aaaanyways, did some digging. Apparently, although Toonami themselves haven't posted anything on their site, TVGuide dot com have released a schedule (subject to change) including Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, FLCL, Durarara!!, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG and more Bleach than you can shake an automail arm at. An interesting lineup at least, though anyone who was clinging to the rumours that PSG, Madoka and TTGL were going to show up will be sorely disappointed. If the lineup is good I may consider getting cable. There's a lot that I want to watch on TV but nothing worth sending me into a fury and forcing me to want to get cable. If Toonami comes back and it's good I'll try and convince my roommate. It'd be that icing on the cake for my argument.

From what I recall, that's pretty much what Adult Swim was airing. Or at least, what it aired X months ago, the last few times I bothered staying up with my brother to watch it. I'd be tuning in for sure if they air DBZ, though. I haven't watched that in a long time, and I can't sit through the 4kids dub of Kai to save my life... |

4Kids dubbed Kai? I could have sworn that was Funimation as always from what I watched of it. .-. Anyway, this isn't really relevant to me since we don't get CN down here unless we have cable. Which I don't. But you guys have fun~ |

Funimation originally dubbed that arc, but the remastered (or re-released or whatever) version is dubbed by 4kids. And it is terrible, from the crappy-quality edit to change Mr. Popo from black to blue to the voice acting. |

I will be very grateful in Toonami if they bring back all old shows. I also wonder if Steven Blum will reprise his role as Tom. However I will have to wait and see before again else. |

Yeah, but why? I was under the impression that Funimation was also handling Kai (which is basically a condensed version of the original that's more in line with the pacing of the manga than the drawn out thing the original series did), didn't think 4kids would touch DBZ with a 20 foot pole. Got me damn curious about this now. Time to do some research. EDIT: Apparently Funimation is handling it as always, but the episodes aired on Nicktoons and Toonzai were censored (Toonzai more than Nicktoons) somewhat. The DVD releases were untouched though (which are apparently what I've seen). Anyway, this is all terribly off topic (even if it's technically all anime talk). Sorry folks, I now return you to your usual programming. ^^; |
