Thou Hast NO Need for Fancy Avatars

Sonic the Hedgehog has been through puzzle,to platformer,to adventure,to werehog and so on. As You Know sonic and the secret rings and Sonic and the Black Knight were for wii.yet they were both in ancient times. Now sega doesn't have much things to move on in the storyline, but black knight was in the time of the knights of the round table. Now what next,i was thinking they could make another ancient times game, now i don't know what or were it would be about, but i think they should make another ancient times game, because Black knight was Just a Giant Surprise to people on the wii.So why stop there, tell what you think the next ancient times game would be like,if it could be made |

Hate to point out the obvious but Secret Rings and Black Knights were based on Story Books, not Ancient Times. |

If we're talking about Storybook games, then if there's gonna be another one, I think it should be in ancient Greece, following the story of the Odyssey. It'd make sense. |

Well .... My gut feeling is they won't be continuing the Story Book line any more. I think they will be putting there collective efforts into making something new for the Wii U. |

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
|
That is weird, I read in an interview that the Storybook series is a trilogy. Well my thoughts were always like a Sinbad and the Seven Seas, but the fact that Knuckles was Sinbad in Secret Rings makes it less likely. |

The Jester

It basically has to, unless it were to take place in another story. Many cultures and nations have their own epic tale or story. Could have a Romance of the Three Kingdoms game or maybe a Japanese tale(I don't know any specificially, but surely they have something game worthy). ...Would be interesting to see SEGA and Sonic Team try tackling the Bhagavad gita or other Hindu epic/stories. |

http://www.tssznews.com/2011/06/29/sega-mexico-rep-hints-at-several-upcoming-sonic-titles/ Not very sure that this is true, but I found this before Sonic Generations was released. Thought it might be interesting to the Storybook games. And I feel that Sega would make the Storybook setting to something that is fairly common in literature (like 1001 Arabian Nights and King Arthur) to not only North America, but to Japan and perhaps Europe as well, as they are the big market consumers. I can see a Greek mythology like you guys said, maybe a pirate theme like Sinbad, or even something about our history in itself. It is fun to see what kind of story can be make into a Sonic Storybook game, but only time will tell. |

Hydrocity Act 2
|
Sonic in a trojan horse...? Seeing how sonic and knuckles kind of were already inspired by the Greek Goddess Nike, it would be interesting to that play out. But I have to say, Sonic is rlly too tame of a game to have all that bloodshed As far as greek goes, there are plenty of more tame stories that he could probably be involved with for example the persephone story (hade's wife) or one of the plato stories or something not so obvious. I personally think Sonic would be a lot cooler in some sort of Atlantis storyline with lots of water or basically any myth involving springtime |
