"S..sister?" Lidiya echoed looking at both of them and their birthmarks. "Didn't know he had any siblings" she thought to herself still slightly staring at Priscilla. She followed after Brandon into the lounge while Jeff started shouting out a command to one of the guys of a group. She watched as Marcus plugged in all the equipment and watched in closely as he plugged in something else." What is it? she thought out loud not speaking to anyone in particular. |

Brandon sighs as he sat down at the reserved table at the lounge. People were coming in and Brandon could see some familiar faces. Scorch's band and some other bands were there. Brandon's band members usually played with other bands when they are not playing with each other. As more people came, Brandon saw someone go up on the small stage and he started to speak. The crowd that was screaming as that certain "someone" was the host, Jeff. "If you guys want to hear some music, I suggest you SHUT UP!!" he yelled as everybody grew silent. "That's what I like," Jeff said as the first band came up. The crowd began to cheer again. It was a familiar band Brandon knew. Their lead vocalist was named Raymond, who was in Brandon's band.. A tall cockatoo who had a lot of power into his voice. Brandon smiled as the bird introduced himself to the crowd. "Glad to be here the first time with this band. I've played at other locations, but I can tell this is going to be my favorite. Chester! Get us rolling!" Raymond said as their lead guitarist began to play a tune. It was "The Crowing" by Coheed and Cambria. A long introduction to a fest of many bands. Brandon looked at Lidiya. He was somewhat afraid. He didn't want her to be dissatisfied. He got them both a place where the crowd won't jump on them or end up starting a mosh pit at. Even though those weren't allowed in the lounge. "Uh...Lidiya?" Brandon asked and waited for her response. |

Lidiya sat comfortably in the seat across from Brandon and tapped her fingers to the beat of the song the band on stage was performing. While reaching into her pocket she heard Brandon call her name and quickly turned to him. "Yes, Brandon?" she replied. She noticed that he seemed a little nervous, but she didn't mention it. She wouldn't want to make him more nervous. |

"Y-you like the music so far? 'Cause I can play with my band up there if you wish..." he said. It was only one song, but yeah, he didn't want her, in anyway, bored. The song was getting towards the interlude. People were cheering and singing along. As the song ended, Ray and his band left. Jeff came back with a smile on his face. It was the smile that gave away what was next. "Ben, get up here!!" Jeff said as Scorch came with his band on stage. "This man, is going to play three tunes for us tonight so get ready!" Jeff said as he left. Scorch didn't say anything, but began to play. It was Breaking Benjamin's Polyamorous. Everybody started to cheer as they knew what he was playing. |

"Yeah, I like It so far, but I would like to hear you sing again." she said smiling. She became quite a fan of Brandon's group quickly from yesterday and did in fact love his voice. It's just something about the way he shows real emotions in a song that makes her enjoy hearing him. |

Brandon smiled. "I'll tell Jeff..." Brandon said as he hopped up and sprinted towards Jeff's office. Brandon knocked on the door. "Come in..." Jeff said as Brandon did what he said to do. "Brandon! What's up?" Jeff asked. "Is there room for me to play?" Brandon asked. "Well, yeah, but to warn you, you will not be used to what me and Mark set up, but it's your choice..." Jeff said. Brandon nodded a "thank you" as he left and went back to Lidiya. "Jeff said yes. I'll be up whe-" The song that Scorch was singing was over. Jeff whispered something in Scorch's ear and Scorch nodded. Scorch and his band went off stage. Brandon was shocked of how quick that happened. "Pestilence...rise!" Jeff said as Brandon, John, Jullian, Raymond, and William stood up from separate tables. "Feel free to play," Jeff said. They all, including Brandon, cheered as they got up. Brandon whispered in their ears "better days." "I thought that would be a-" "Surprise? I already know who I want to surprise..." Brandon said interrupting William. They got up and began to get set up. Then, William began to slowly play the cymbals as Raymond played the beginning acoustic. It was Breaking Benjamin's "Better Days." "You carry me places I'd rather be, Well-mannered gardens, well-tempered seas, We're gathered in reason I should believe, That this is different, that this feels free, How could this be? I'm on my way, to BETTER DAYS! I'll find my faith, I'll find a way! I'm on my way, to BETTER DAYS! I'll find my faith... I will slip again, and you will find me... I will live again, and you will find me... Run, but carry the meanings of...your past..." Brandon sang. It was another song that he based of his past. It was a song that told people he was moving on and not dwelling on it. Everyone cheered as Brandon kept on going. |

Just like before at the variety show, Lidiya could notice the song Brandon was singing would have a message in it. Like he was breaking away from something and moving to something better. Lidiya couldn't help but to think that there was a secret too Brandon. Of course everyone has secrets, but this one was deeper. Lidiya shook the thought from her head because it wasn't any of his business to begin with, especially when she was just getting to know Brandon. It would be rude to even ask Brandon anything personal now, so she just stood up and cheered for him. |

Brandon ended the song and the crowd screamed. Brandon smiled as his band members were already gone. Brandon went down from the stage and as he went down, he felt something was wrong. He looked up and saw a strange marking on the ceiling. He knew that wasn't what Jeff plugged in because what Jeff plugged in was something to filter Brandon's voice. To make it sound clearer. People started to move as the ceiling exploded with three people coming down from it. One was a pure black lynx. The only thing that was noticeable besides his darkness was the yellow eyes. Beside the lynx was a dark, violet colored Siberian Husky. She had lavender-colored eyes and had a black sleeveless shirt. She also had black jeans with a utility belt and combat boots. Then, there was Deimos. Deimos was a crimson red hedgehog with golden-brown pupils with a black outer eye. He had a crest between his eyes like Brandon that was a darker shade of crimson red. He wore pads on his shoulder and a thin, gun-metal grey breast plate. He dark brown, studded leather boots. To top it all, he had a very distinguishing, insane grin on his face. He did not notice Brandon at first. People started to run as Brandon clenched his fists. "Scapegoat! How's my younger brother doing?" Deimos said. Brandon growled. He never did like being called "Scapegoat." It called him a coward because he was afraid of his brother. His brother would get in trouble, Brandon would take the blame. The lynx that was with Deimos scared away the crowd and pinned Jeff down because he was resisting. "Finish him..." Deimos said. The lynx was about to puncture Jeff when he was stopped by Brandon freezing his hands. The lynx backed off and gasped. He tried to breathe into his hands to warm them up. Deimos was about to say something when he notice Lidiya. "Oohh...who's this, Brandon? Your date?" Deimos said grinning at Lidiya. His golden brown eyes glaring right into the soul of Lidiya. "Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't be staying here after what just happened," Deimos said. The Siberian Husky that was with Deimos elbowed him. "Sorry, honey," Deimos said. The lynx recovered, but Jeff was already gone. |

Lidiya was frozen with fear when the ceiling exploded and she was nearly hit by the rubble. She was frightened when Deimos addressed her, but was even more shocked when she heard Deimos call Brandon his...brother. Her phone rang, but she dared not pick it up. Instead she ignored and and began to back away, thinking, "How could a simple date turn into this in just a few minutes?" she thought. "B-Brandon..." she whispered, still staring at Deimos with her fur standing on end. |

Deimos chuckled. He was about to walk to Lidiya when he gets drop kicked down. "Aaaghh!!! What the-" Deimos was interrupted by a stomp to the head by Onyx, Brandon's friend. Deimos got up. "Who do you think you are?" Deimos growled. "Onyx, get out of here!" Brandon said. "No can do, Brandy. I'm not going to let my friend and his girl get hurt by three twats like these," Onyx said. "John, n-" "Brandon! You never experienced any sort of fun in your life! Playing with us does not count! You never get time by yourself or with someone alone. You deserve her more than anybody else...you've never experienced love in your life, you had to deal with this cretin chasing you...GO!" Onyx said. "Onyx, n-" "Did I freaking stutter?! Worst that can happen is I get carried away on a stretcher," Onyx said. Brandon took Lidiya's hand and ran. He sprinted through the streets with her, heading towards his home. Onyx was surrounded by the three patriarchs and matriarchs. "Some nerve you got to risk yourself for your own friend...Charon, me and my little, furry, feline are going to find a place to hide. Charon, you finish this mongrel off," Deimos said. Charon smiled as Onyx withdrew a switchblade. "You wouldn't cut me, I'm a-" "If you are man enough to get in my face and terrorize others, you are man enough for me to fight you..." Onyx said. Charon leaped at Onyx and instead of an actual fight, Onyx and Charon disappeared. There was no sight of them. Deimos and the lynx were already gone. Brandon and Lidiya arrived at Brandon's house. "Lidiya, I'm a fool. I should've told you what could go wrong before we went on a date. I've left so many features of myself out that I don't think I'm trustworthy at all. But, Deimos knows you and he knows you are a weakness to me. It's my job to protect you and I will," Brandon said. His eyes started to turn blue for he was upset. [You'll find out what happened between Charon and Onyx later.] |

Lidiya didn't really know what to say, she was still in shock of what happened at the lounge. Lidiya would have fear of Deimos now, but knowing that Brandon would do everything to protect her canceled out most of that fear. After that mess at the lounge she'd want to know everything about Brandon, who he really is and about his life if he was willing to tell her. Lidiya began to feel overwhelmed with emotions but didn't know what they would compel her to do or say. She looked into Brandon's now blue eyes and stared with sympathy. "I'm willing to trust you Brandon if you're willing to trust me..." she said in a soft but slightly shaken tone. |

"You know, every time something positive happens to you, Deimos arrives...and I'm getting sick of it," Priscilla growled. Brandon ignored her and waited for Lidiya's answer to his question. |

Brandon's question made Lidiya think back to when her phone rang continuously at the lounge but she never picked it up. She quickly reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone looking at the calls. She had four missed calls, two from both Amillia and Angel and a couple of text messages. "They are likely at home right now.." she replied. She text each girl that she was at Brandon's house and that she was alright, just make sure they wouldn't worry. Amillia text back that they were actually at Lidiya's house keeping her mom company till she was ready to come back home. "They're at my house, why?" she asked Brandon. |

"I-I don't know. What I do know is your mom could be worried sick, I'm not sure. Text your friends, see if it's okay with your mom to spend the night. My sis and I will make sure we protect you," Brandon said. Priscilla snickered as she grabbed something small to drink. You could hear a very faint a small "strike two" come from Brandon's lips. He knew how his sister was. If she was going to be rude to Lidiya one more time, Brandon was going to snap. |

Lidiya shot Priscilla a quick annoyed glance before doing as Brandon asked. Instead of texting her friends she called her mother and had a few words with her. Lidiya walked a few steps away and spoke, you could tell by the irritated yet pleading way Lidiya sounded that her mother was a little less than fond of the idea of Lidiya staying over night on a first date. Her mother would have the whole "be safe" speech and the "if something happens come straight home" sermon. "Okay, mom, you're making me uncomfortable..." Lidiya whispered into the phone. She could here her two friends in the background trying to help convince her mother into letting her stay. Lidiya sighed when her mother finally agreed but didn't sound to happy. The girls had agreed to stay with Lidiya's mom the whole night as long as Lidiya kept them posted on anything that happened the rest of the night. Lidiya walked back over to Brandon and scratched her head,"She said it was okay." she told him. |
