My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!

http://www.gamespot.com/news/new-super-mario-bros-2-hitting-3ds-this-august-6372611 I do not know about you but I am getting tired of this "New" series. It is a great series of games, do not get me wrong, but each title feels the same to me (like the same exact game with just more levels and a different power up her and there). I know a lot of you are going to bash me for this but I rather it be like another major title like Sunshine or Galaxy, but that wont be till the Wii U. I do not know, I probably will buy it anyways, just wanted to see what you guys think. The release is said to be August of this year on the 3DS. |

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."

All they have to do is make this one 4 player, Like the Wii version but not restrict all players to one screen obviously, and it will sale like hotcakes. I don't really care if they copied the same basic formula, The DS and Wii versions were different enough to warrant purchases of both and the added 4-player fun of the Wii version transformed a classic walk down memory lane into the ultimate party game for friends. |

Did you make the topic about the game and more about how you dislike the series? The "New" series was made so fans can experiment classic old sidescroller Mario action, like Super Mario World, etc. Anyway, saw this on Nintendo Direct or whatever, and along with the other announcements seems pretty cool to me. However, I would like to see more before I decide if I should get it right away. The background of the particular screenshot has been seen many times before, but it will probably show off much more different levels. Hopefully it will take a que from Kirby's Return to Dream Land and give us more then just Luigi and two Toads. |

"I probably will buy it anyways, just wanted to see what you guys think." Hmm, that sounds like it answered those unnecessary questions you have. I just wanted to voice my opinions, and if you don't like it, then oh well. Edited by MysticShaid, Apr 22 2012, 10:28 AM.

I saw the Tanooki Tail in one of the screen shots, And it look like you can actually fly with it unlike the watered down BS version in 3D Land. But yeah, I agree with my other half, Multiplayer is a must for this game, but only local multiplayer please, This is one of those games that just wouldn't be the same online. |

Yes, because one sentence suddenly outweighs the rest of the paragraph. Also, don't be an ass. First off, you didn't seem to read my post as well. All I did is ask one question, as the majority of your post was about you dislike the series despite the fact you made the topic about the game. And second, I never said there was anything wrong with your opinion. In fact, I actually agreed, saying I would probably need to see more of it to actually judge and decide if I should get it right away. tl;dr It was just one question. Don't get all riled up all the sudden. |

I am just trying to voice my opinions is all. I do not want this to be a topic of us fighting and bickering. On a side note, I forget to mention that they are releasing a 20 year anniversary collection for Kirby for the Wii after NSMB2 is released. Very likely I will buy that. |

I'll be there every step of the way...

I didn't even care too greatly for the original New Super Bros. This is just too much. I want something fresh. Sure, Nintendo will be hard-pressed to create something as revolutionary as Super Mario 64, But come on, try something! A comfort zone is a curse, ya know, and comfort zones, in my opinion, are sucking the life out of the gaming industry right now. |

I have to say I agree. (Sorry if I bumped a dead topic) Why even have the 3d gimmick if your not going to use it(or barely use it)? I'm tired of the catering to the old school crowd. Its why I prefer playing the Paper Mario series, cause there is a bit more depth than the main games. I'm finding myself becoming bored with each Mario game becoming more based on old school game play(I joked once that New Super Mario Bros 3 will be them using 8-bit sprites). I just hope Bowser Jr. Doesn't appear, or at least the Koopalings do. Youd think as much as they cater to the old school fanbase, they would feature them more. |

Guys. I haven't played the said game or might not even wound up playing NSMB2, but doesn't 3D Land have all the change, fusing 2D aspects with 3D ones? =| It seems like the most original handheld Mario out there at least. Though I do agree with DAK. I don't mind an all-out old school 2D game, but it better have more "new" then the previous installments. They were only 'good' at best. The DS was decent, while the Wii is only better because co-op is fun to play with others, slightly polished up in some areas with more original levels. |
