Bleach Series cancelled!; Anime Bleach no longer airs in Japan.

Character Select Posts: 14 Group: E Rank Adventurer Member #12,881 Joined: April 8, 2012 Playstation Network ID: Shogun318XX	Bleach will be ending on the 27th March, with its timeslot being filled by the Naruto spinoff featuring Rock Lee. “A recent television program listing in Japan reports that the Bleach television anime series will end its run in TV Tokyo‘s 6:00 p.m. Tuesday timeslot on March 27. When a Twitter follower of Bleach animation director Hiroki Takagi sent him an image of the listings, Takagi responded by saying, “So quick. I was going to paste it… /(^o^)\” Shueisha, the publisher of Tite Kubo‘s original manga, had already announced that the weekly Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on Tuesday, April 3 at 6:00 p.m.” With Kubo already confirming this to be the final arc in the Manga and now the Anime being cancelled, 2012 has seen a very bad start to the year for fans of the Bleach series. Some serious bad news right their son! This was my favorite anime of all time.

I haven't watched or read much of Bleach to be honest. I saw a bit of the first season when my brother was watching it on DVD and I enjoyed what I saw, but not enough to really get into it I guess. Still, I hear the anime has been going somewhat downhill lately. So I guess I shouldn't be too surprised by this. I just hope they wrap it up a little better than they did with Air Gear.

It's just cancelled on TV Tokyo, but I'm sure it's still continuing elsewhere. New episodes will still be airing somewhere else I think, perhaps on DVD. American fans shouldn't worry about it unless they say something about it here. And I wouldn't say the manga ending is bad news. All things come to an end like what TUC said. I thought it should have ended after the Aizen arcs, but I guess it's kinda nice seeing the aftermath and a more happier ending I guess. .-. Anyway, even if I'm wrong and the anime is cancelled, the manga's finished, so it's not a big deal to me. .-.

I do have to ask, though: how does a Rock Lee spin-off overshadow the Bleach series? When I read that part, I scratched my head and literally went, "What?" You all are overreacting and treating it like the end of the world. The show is not really cancelled, just being removed from TV Tokyo in Japan, as it could still easily finish on DVD or elsewhere. I'm assuming everybody but Chaos and TUC lives here in America. If you do, then don't worry about it unless they say something about it here in America with Adult Swim. It will still continue. And the series is already over with a proper ending and all on the manga, so it's not like you guys will never see the ending.

That being said, Bleach had an extraordinary life time for an anime, and this was an eventual inevitability.
