Hopefully this can attract some more people as well. .-. My newest RP takes place on the planet of Gardynia, a planet with a horrifying and terrible past that is now beginning to convert into a world of technology. According to ancient legends, after a meteorite crashed onto the planet several centuries prior to the story, a demon-like being bent on destruction and domination known as Zodiark wreaked havoc on the world, killing many. To make things worst, the meteorite unleashed vicious parasites, called Fragments because they're believed to 'fragments' of the meteorite, that soon hunted down and infected anybody within a mile's range. The Fragments infected the victims' brains and turned them into killing machines, making them give into violence and bloodshed. The Fragments also multiplied while they're in their hosts, creating more and more victims, and some even horribly shapeshifted the victims into completely different species, ranging greatly. Because of Zodiark and the Fragments, Gardynia's life was nearly wiped out and the planet became a bloodbath. The era became known as the Era of Destruction. However, Gardynia's most powerful sorceress, Ultimatica, eventually managed to rise parts of a continent into the sky to save her and the survivors from Zodiark and the Fragments, with the airborn lands known as Floating Lands. Years later, Ultimatica fought Zodiark in a battle to the death, rumored to last several years. Eventually, Ultimatica emerged victorious, causing Zodiark to disappear as he swore his hatred on the sorceress. However, with the Fragments roaming the planet, Ultimatica's joy of defeating the monster didn't last long. She journeyed to one of two Gardynia's Magical Gates, a gate that releases millions of elemental particles used for magic while the other absorbs the leftover particles, with source of the particles coming from Gardynia's core. Ultimatica sacrificed herself by temporarily fusing with the planet's core, which greatly amplified her magical abilities, to create an ultimate cure across Gardynia to rid the Fragments and their control from the victims. The spell was a success, and those cured and still alive on the surface of Gardynia were overjoyed. Ultimatica's cure though wasn't enough to turn those morphed by the Fragments back to their original shape, thus those morphed eventually developed and evolved into today's tribes. However, because of the Era of Destruction and that the survivors actually gave their own magic to Ultimatica so she increase her chances of defeating Zodiark, magic was nearly lost, and many people thought it was after learning Ultimatica has disappeared. However, some found themselves able to cast magic, very weak magic, but still magic. But because the magic is very weak, it took several generations to develop and become strong like what the magic was prior to the Era of Destruction. Even though magic users exist today, it is very uncommon compared to the people prior to the Era of Destruction, where everybody on Gardynia could use magic. Now, several centuries later after the deadly era, the world is beginning to shift towards technology with magic casters uncommon among the population. However, little does everybody know, Gardynia is about to plunge in a deadly conflict yet again and Fenroar Strauss, a simple thief and a member of a group of bandits, and his friends find themselves at the very center of it, erupting into something beyond imagination. Will you be able to stop this new conflict? Or will Gardynia fall this time? Sign-Up Sheet (It doesn't have to be exactly like this, but something like this is what I'm looking for). Name: Age: Gender: Tribe(See below. But you can make up a minor tribe, although I'll have to approve. No all-out Sonic-like furries though please): Abilities(If he/she has any): Weapons: Appearance(A good, detailed picture can work as well): Personality(2-3 sentences at least please): History(Optional actually, but tell us what his or her life on Gardynia has been like): Tribes Humans - Among the oldest species to live on Gardynia, being able to survive the Era of Destruction. Most focus on technology, but a few can use magic, similar to other species. Amalants - A species who was developed due to the Fragments mutation of humans. This species are considerably shorter. The tribe always wear black carapaces around their faces, some a different color, while their eyes can be seen glowing out of the holes carved into the carapace. They wear hats, clothing, anything to hide their grey(Color varies in certain areas), showing as least skin as possible. They usually live in Gardyia's deserts, although some roam the world in other places as well. The behavior of certain Amalants can vary though. Some Amalant villages and locations in deserts are very hostile to visitors, and may violently attack those, unless they were notified and approved of them entering prior to the visitors' arrival. It is rumored Amalants have a hideous face under their carapaces... Sobowians - A species again formed to the Fragments mutations of humans. However, the Fragments mutated these select and gave rise to a tribe of bizarre bear-like people. They resemble bears who always stand on their two legs, covered in soft furry fur, and have fancy clothes over themselves, such as suits and monocles. This tribe is very intelligent and knowledgeable, smarter then humans, and actually have some spellcasters like humans. Sobowians are seen all over Gardynia, although they have their own cities in cold places, like the cities who watch over the northern and southern Magical Gates. Colossi - The oldest species of Gardynia, who mostly survived the Era of Destruction without harm, and went through very little development throughout the years. They are giant mostly stone-like titans much bigger than any other tribe, twice the size of an average human and more probably even better. They can easily adapt to any climate, resulting in many different types of Colossi. Colossi were able to survive the Era of Destruction because of their immunity to Fragments and the plague, and were easily able to defeat any Fragment-infected person. They managed to stay hidden most of the era, making sure to only hide from Zodiark. Angeals - A species that resulted from Fragment mutation of humans during the Era of Destruction, being transformed into winged beings known as Angeals. Angeals however are extremely rare, looking very similar to humans, but have white feathery wings that grow out of their backs that can be just as big as them themselves, and have an animal-like tail as well, which can range. Angeals usually get attention no matter where they go. Thus most don't live in crowded places. Most of the rare Angeals are also skilled in magic, which most of the tribe is able to wield magic. It's also possible that Angeals could have been made from a fusion of the Fragment mutation and from Ultimatica's magic, perhaps the reason why, unlike the other mutations, Angeals have a more holy appearance. They are minor tribes that exist as well, as well as several different types of monsters and creatures. If you don't want to be any of these and have your own idea for a minor tribe, feel free to make something up that's reasonable, although I'll have to approve it along with the rest of your profile(No Sonic-like furries though. Sorry). Want to be part werewolf? Go for it. Also, letting people pick the Angeal tribe is something I'm rather iffy on as they're pretty much the Human tribe with wings and enhanced magic, thus everybody is going to want to pick those. I want the Angeal tribe to be extremely rare though, although they will have an important role in the plot(At least one of my Angeal characters will). If you want to though, then it will be first come, first serve. I'll only accept one or two characters that wish to be an Angeal. Terms Gardynia - The planet where the story takes place on. After surviving a terrible chaotic era, Gardynia is starting to convert into a planet of technology, with magic being forgotten. Airships, automobiles, guns, are just among the things being invented among Gardynia. Gardynia is host a planet of many species and monsters, with the four biggest tribes(Humans, Amalants, Sobowians, Colossi) the most known of Gardynia, although they are several smaller and minor tribes that exist as well, including the rare and majestic Angeal tribe. The Floating Lands - Parts of the eastern continent, the Gaia Continent, that were split from Gaia by Ultimatica and raised high into the air, later being able to float there permanently. The lands is populated by mostly humans, although a variety of tribes visit with some even living there. Statues dedicated to Ultimatica are seen placed here. The Floating Lands is owned by King Ultimatica of the Franedial Kingdom. The Gaia Continent - One of the five main continents of Gardynia, and possibly the biggest if one includes the Floating Lands. Like the Terra Continent, it is occupied by the Human, Amalant, and Colossi Tribes, with many minor tribes as well. Half of the Gaia Continent is ruled by the Franedial Kingdom. The continent's most well known features is the Amalant Desert, where many Amalant cities are located as well as hostile Amalants, the Forest of Fallen Stars, Shinryu Volcanoes, as well as many others. The Terra Continent - One of the five main continents, and the biggest. The Terra Continent is home to all tribes, including the Sobowians who live near the northern parts. Parts of the continent are ruled by the Vhrallia Kingdom, occupying around half the continent while the rest, similar to the Gaia Continent, are occupied by smaller kingdoms and tribes. The people of the Terra Continent though were not as technologically advanced as the Gaia Continent, preferring to focus more on magic, but were forced to recently and the continent is still trying to convert. The Terra Continent has more magic casters then the Gaia Continent. Among the continent's most well known features are the Moonlight Desert, filled with purple sparkly sand and is where the meteorite crashed long ago, the Falbrandor Canyons, and many others. More terms will be added soon, such as more details about the land, continent, kingdoms, and et cetera. As well as maybe a map. Depends how much people I get for the RP, as I don't want to make a good detailed map if nobody ends up joining. :C Rules 1. All basic rules of roleplaying and SB's rules apply. No flaming, no god-modding, no controlling another person's character, etc. 2. Do not post in the main RP topic itself unless I have approved your character. Remember, I have to approve all your character before you can post. Make sure to read carefully and have them blend in with the world. 3. This RP is an advanced roleplay, which means I hope you post like one. I will be rather strict/picky on grammer, which I don't mind a few, but what I'm trying to say is, try. Make posts detailed, do not post a single sentence and expect to be done(Unless there's literally nothing else you can do). 4. Only post your entry here. Do not post it in the topic itself. Tribal Power: At any point, Red is capable of morphing aspects of his body into one of three things; His muscles, for increased strength and reaction time, Scaled skin, for better defense both physically and magically, or his Throat, to grant him the ability to breath fire, though this also takes a bit of his physical energy, and it take a few moments to change to any of them. Weapons: A Dragnostic Clan Buster-Blade (Just a buster blade that was crafted to resemble a read dragon) Appearance: Short red hair, stands a little taller than average humans, due to his Dragnostic Heritage. He is fairly muscled, and only wears a red vest, most of the time unbuttoned, along with black pants. His eyes are a bright red, and have the tell-tale draconian look of a Dragnostic clan member. Personality: Red often times will remain silent, sometimes even when spoken to directly, giving off the air of superiority, though, it's more just he doesn't want to get mentally, and by association, emotionally involved. Due to his high temper, Red is easily provoked, though, it's wise not to provoke him for a simple response, as it often ends in injuries for the provoker. will often just lay back and stare up at the sky, appearingly for no reason. He is actually kind hearted, though keeps up a tough exterior. History: Red is a Pure Dragnostic, a clan that heavily rely on what appears to be dragon abilities and attributes. Red is The Direct descendant of the First Dragnostic, The one that had originally held the parasite that gave them the power, though since centuries have passed, only his family remembers they are direct descendants. He hasn't shared this fact with anyone, other than Fenroar, who's about the only one that Red will initiate a conversation with. Having been so Violent, even for a Dragnostic clan member, his clan exiled him, believing he held an evil spirit. In one way, they were right, For red has been known to show signs of Split personality, and often takes on a psychotic demeanor whenever it takes over, though the number of times its possesses him is rather small. Hope this is alright.

Or are you saying Red will eventually open up to him during the RP? Besides that though, I don't know what's the difference between a 'Buster-Sword' and a regular sword is, thus can you describe it in more detail? Tell me what it looks like, etc. This 'evil spirit' is something that has to be explained more as well. Just what is it exactly and why does Red have it? Other then that, looks pretty good and will be approved once you explain those. Unrelated though, before I proceed with the RP, I would to at least get a total of two or three people(Not including me). .-. Edited by Fenroar, Apr 4 2012, 11:01 AM.

I didn't mean that everybody should already know each other. But sure, he can be part of the bandit group, but Red's personality doesn't really blend him in with the rest. (Spoiler: The group of thieves Fenroar is in is called "Rhythm Capes," where parts of them perform a play/musical while others begin the thieving while the people getting thieved are distracted). But I guess he could just always be the group who takes part in the heist and never perform a play/musical, although everybody else tends to flick. Spoiler: click to toggle Yeah, I played Final Fantasy VII, huge fan actually. But 'Buster Sword' is just the name that was given to Cloud's weapon, not the name of the type of weapons overall. Those type of swords are actually called a broadsword or a great sword, but I guess it doesn't really matter. Can you edit your post and tell me more details though then simply 'it resembles a red dragon'? Like is the head the tip or... ? Sorry, I'm trying to imagine this in my head. Err, no, that only confused me even more. What's the difference between a pure Dragnostic and a regular one? Does a pure have this personality disorder? Your last sentence confused me. Because of his personality disorder, he has a second conscious and can speak to others with his mind? o__o Sorry if I'm sounding harsh; hope I'm not scaring you off. But your profile is pretty good, just needs to fix a few things up.

Basically, yes, Being a pure can affect their mind a bit, seeing how they are direct descendants from the first, that had the Fragment. N I Meant, that he almost has two minds in one body, that can talk to each other, if he focuses enough. Sorry, I Sometimes think faster than I type, and end up with entire missing words. As for the Blade, I've heard that that type of blade is called that, but whatever. As for its look, its that first picture. And alright, I'll have my guy show up later, cuz he wouldn't really be a thief, being bigger than most humans.

But err, he almost has another mind? .____. How can you almost have another mind? And don't worry, I do that at times as well. Just take your time and proof-read your post real quick before posting. Make sure your grammar is neat for this RP as well. Don't want to take the time to try to figure out what you said during the RP. :C Trust me. I'm a big Final Fantasy fan(My previous RPs have actually been Final Fantasy themed). Buster Sword is just the name of Cloud(Or before Cloud, Zack's) weapon. But yeah, it doesn't matter. The picture's fine I guess. Just clarify on that one detail and you're good to go then.

Maybe have him a distance away from where Fenroar is and you end up hearing them. Just introduce your character for now and we'll get there. :V
