Once you're done reading, read here! Do not post without me approving! Whooooooosh.... "A-A-Almost there," a young man muttered, walking alone in a desert rather cold, with the unusual light purple sand being blown beside him. The nineteen-year-old boy although is only getting delusional, as there is nothing nearby or in sights except for sand and some of the desert's native cacti. The floppy ears of his black and dark red hat is keeping his ears warm, with nice black fluffing on the inside. His black hair underneath nearly covers his red eyes, and the bits of hair popping out of his hat in a small ponytail is flowing fiercely in the wind. The sand however is making his clothes rather dusty. His black sleeveless cloak has flakes of sand on it, and he probably should have the hood up and button more than just the one near his neck. The inside of the cloak and hood is dark red like his hat, with golden buttons meant to button the cloak together. Visible beneath the cloak is a long sleeve black v-neck shirt, with a silver necklace chained around his neck. Attached to the necklace appears to be a symbol of a wolf's head, and a small rare-looking key. He fears the black sash wrapped and tied around his waist might fly away in this wind, holding onto to it with his right hand. His black pants are getting dusty, of course, and his armored brown boots is slowing him down a bit in this desert, being covered with silver padding. He can only hope he can find some shelter sooner or later... "Fenroar Strauss!" a voice declared over the wind, with the man in the hat turning around, sighing. Behind Fenroar lied a tall muscular man covered in nothing but silver armor with iron chainmail beneath, as well as a pointy iron helmet to protect his head. He carries an iron spiky ball attached to a metal chain. "I have finally found you!" "Pretty brave of you to follow me here," Fenroar reacted, rather annoyed. "Where the Amalant people here hates visitors." "Silence! I am here to take you and whoever your bandit friends are back to Franedial for stealing from royalty! Give up!" the knight declared, raising the ball and chain into the air and swinging it. "Uh, Brhant-" "You have no right to call me that, you heathen!" The knight named Brhant then immediately launched the spiky ball at Fenroar, who easily moved to the side. The ball crashed and caused a dust cloud, covering Fenroar, as he disappeared from sight. Brhant quickly tried to pull the spike ball back to him, but is unable to. "Are you sure it's a good idea to have all that metal in a desert?" Fenroar asked, as suddenly, Brhant found himself in unwrithing pain as every muscle in his body tightened up, being electrocuted and unable to let go of the chain. Soon, the attack stopped and Brhant collapsed, letting go of the ball and chain. The dust cloud cleared and small little bolts could be seen emitting from Fenroar's right hand, which lies on the side of the spike ball. It's obvious from what just happened now. Fenroar sent his electricity through the chain and to Brhant's armor, electrocuting him. Although it could have easily killed him, Fenroar didn't want to go as far to kill a Franedialian soldier. Even though Brhant will probably go after him once more when he wakes up. Assuming none of the desert natives here get him while he sleeps. "Now have fun, Brhant," Fenroar muttered to him. "Time to meet up with the others before the Amalant people here realize they have visitors..." But suddenly, a curious sound was heard nearby. Fenroar couldn't believe it. They couldn't have discovered him already?! Maybe Brhant was too loud, but even so, with this wind, it would still be hard to hear them if they were a distance away. He quickly looked around, panicking, and made a mad dash for it. However, by the time he realizes what the sound is, it's too late. Suddenly, a massive sand beast jumped out of the sand beside Fenroar. Covered in dark brown scaly skin with sand everywhere on its body, possibly covering up the eyes, the beast opened its wide mouth and is directly above Fenroar. It's as big as a house but luckily not much pointy teeth. Still, it doesn't look good. Its fin-like tail flung in the air as Fenroar then saw nothing but darkness. "AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Fenroar screamed, before hearing a female voice, young and sweet. "... What was that?" she said, as Fenroar then passed out. The planet of Gardynia, a peaceful planet that once had a horrifying past. Long ago, centuries prior to the story of Fenroar Strauss, according to ancient legends, Gardynia was a planet mostly uninhabited, deserted, because the entire planet was a battleground between two powerful beings and a deadly parasite attack. The era was known as the Era of Destruction. A sorceress named Ultimatica and a corrupted demon named Zodiark. Zodiark came from a powerful meteorite that struck Gardynia long ago, a being only bent on destruction and domination. The meteorite meanwhile unleashed a deadly virus on Gardynia. Deadly parasites, called Fragments because it was believed the parasites were fragments of the meteorite, infected nearly everybody within miles of the crash site and soon multiplied and spread. When the Fragments infected the poor victims and their brains, the victims turned into mindless killing machines, bent on slaughter and giving into hatred. To make things worst, the Fragments even morphed some humans into entirely different species. The Fragments caused much of Gardynia's life to be wiped out, leaving only humans, colossi, or humans morphed into completely different beings by the Fragments. The planet of Gardynia was a bloodbath, with the Fragments forcing humans to kill each other or get killed by Zodiark. The most powerful sorceress in Gardynia, Ultimatica, quickly gathered anybody she knew who wasn't infected by the Fragments and created a massive seal to seal them away from Zodiark and the Fragments. This however caused huge strain on Ultimatica, but the survivors assisted holding the seal, allowing Ultimatica to think of any solution out of this deadly problem. However, her seal wouldn't last forever as Zodiark found them and was quickly trying to destroy it. Desperate, Ultimatica once again used her strongest magic to split a small part of the continent which she and the survivors lived on and raised them into the air, creating what-is-known-as-today the Floating Lands. Zodiark fell off, although Ultimatica knew that it probably didn't kill the being. While Ultimatica is desperately trying to keep the land afloat, the survivors once again aided Ultimatica by having a few go back to the lands down below via sky animals as transportation and getting powerful technology Ultimatica described to them. Half of those who descended back into the chaotic lands fell victim to Zodiark, those infected by the Fragments, or became infected themselves. The survivors who returned to the Floating Lands above retrieved the technology Ultimatica told them about and just a few days before Ultimatica fell into a coma, the survivors fused their magic and technology to create a generator of powerful gravity to keep them permanently in float. Due to the great strains that Ultimatica placed on herself due to her massive spells, she was not able to awaken from her coma for a few years, causing the survivors to carefully tend to her while she's asleep. The survivors lived on the Floating Lands in harmony, somewhat rebuilding, although they knew only chaos existed on the lands below. Ultimatica finally woke, soon regaining her powerful strength and sorcery. However, she knew she had to do battle with Zodiark, as the survivors told them that Fragment-infected beings have tried to fly up here, but they fought them off with technology they built. Ultimatica requested that the survivors needs to give her all the magic that they could, to stand a chance against Zodiark and the infected. The survivors do so, via a process known as Magic Exchange, and thus, Ultimatica was the only one of Gardynia who could use magic and perhaps fused with her own sorceress abilities, might have possibly been the most powerful sorceress to ever exist on Gardynia. Ultimatica descended down below to confront Zodiark, using spells to shield herself from any Fragments attempting to infect her. Zodiark, devolved even further due to the years of bloodshed and fighting, fought her and it is rumored their battle lasted for several years, forced to kill anything that stood in their way. Finally though, Ultimatica was able to defeat Zodiark, causing him to swear his hatred on Ultimatica as he disappeared. Ultimatica though was in no better shape, as the Fragments remained and they were still those infected. Knowing her great spells and battle with Zodiark shortened her life span considerably, Ultimatica voyaged to Gardynia's northern Magical Gate, one of the two gates of Gardynia that either emits magic or absorbs it. The Northern Magical Gate lets the elemental particles made from Gardynia's core enter the planet, allowing people to use these millions of pure magical particles created each day for magic, while the Southern Magical Gate absorbs the leftover particles and sends them back to the core, 'cleansing' them in the core before being emitted to the northern gate again. The Northern Magical Gate and the Southern Magical Gates are located at opposite ends of Gardynia obviously. Ultimatica then made the ultimate sacrifice by jumping into the pit that is the northern gate, emitting particles that become more and more visible as she falls. Ultimatica used all that she can to temporarily fuse with Gardynia's core, and unleash perhaps the most powerful cure the world has ever known. She used her magic and the core's magic to create rings of light, signifying her spell that developed at the two gates and grew even bigger to consume the entire world. The infected that came into contact with the spell were cured, with all the Fragments killed. Although those that was morphed into a completely different species or animal were unable to regain their former shape. The plague however was soon completely gone as Ultimatica's spirit then disappeared from the world, Gardynia finally returning back to normal. The people cured on the surface slowly began to rebuild, although those that were morphed by the Fragments found themselves completely different from humans. Some were more specialized in certain areas, others were rather bizarre-looking, eventually evolving into today's tribes. However, because the remaining magic users on the Floating Lands transferred their powers to Ultimatica prior to her sacrifice, there was no magic casters left. Or at least, that's what everybody thought. A few amount of people discovered they can use magic again, very weak magic, but still magic. It's unknown for sure how people could have used magic again, but it is generally believed that perhaps when Ultimatica was cleansing Gardynia, she gave her magic to a select few before disappearing. However, the magic was very weak and people was hardly able to do anything with it, thus taking generations to fully develop the magic. Now, centuries later, although still uncommon, they are those able to use magic with ease and at their fullest, descending down from these select few that Ultimatica has chosen. 'Come now, don't you tire of this endless exile? Why don't you just go back, and teach them to treat you like that, Huh? You know we have the power. We need simply walk in, and if any stepped in our path, make sure they never stood again. We could do it, So let's go back ther-' The voice endlessly tried to convince him, until he simply stopped paying attention to it's endless reasoning. He didn't care if he could, he wouldn't. It would be atrocious, and would make him no better than the monster that the Fragments of old turned Humans into. He would not become a Monster like that, so long as he lived. And so, red continued along his trek through the desert, his hood up, and his black travelers cloak buttoned up fully, to protect himself from the wind and dust. No, he had been cast out, and he wouldn't give them the pleasure of seeing him come crawling back, begging for help. Now, if they came to him, then he may consider it, but not on someone else's terms. "AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" screamed out from the wind, loud enough that Red was capable of ascertaining it's direction, and he began towards it. |
