Huh? What's that post above me say?

Okay, so after getting a bunch of opinions from my friends, I'm still unsure what to do. Is it worth picking up a 3DS as of right now? What're the pros and cons about it?

I've actually never owned a handheld besides a PSP for a long while, so anything regarding the nintendo handhelds is beyond me. Any help? o3o
If someone asks me if I'm enjoying life, unless it's something really unforgivable, I can't help but answer that I am. No matter how much despair there is, I'm satisfied with just living...Just being allowed to be here really is a wonderful thing.

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."
Pros -
A good Library of games now available (Mario Land 3D, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus Uprising, Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3D . . . To name just a few)
Free online gaming, Always a plus.
Backward compatible with DS if you had any DS games you wanted to try.
Good catalogue of Downloadable games, Including Demo's of full titles.

Cons -
Battery life is an Issue.

Note - I may be slightly jaded in my opinion.
If your friends own one I would suggest giving it a try and spending some hands-on time with it.

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
Yea, that pretty much sums it up. I was hoping that would reveal an upgraded version of one that fixes the problems, but there is nothing that I heard of. And like my friend said, it is always cool to have the original. :D

It's a yes and No Question,
Yes, because I love mine, alot of cool games are coming out for it. such as "Animal Crossing 3DS" and Paper Mario 3d." There is Tons of app's and such you can buy on there too :)
No because I was disappointed by the 3D, I can look at it for 5 minutes and get a headache so I tend not to use it often. I also don't like the fact there is no Flip note hatena app, I am getting a dsi Xl because I honestly miss it DX .

so yeah. You got to weigh out your pro's and Con's.

Personally I'd say yes simply for how much enjoyment I've gotten out of mine. I'm half-blind so I went into this without really caring about the 3D since I wouldn't even be using it anyways. It handles excellently and the graphics are surprisingly amazing. I just finished Ocarina of Time 3D last night and I felt like a kid again playing OoT for the first time and finally achieving that victory. Now if only Master Quest would quit kicking my arse... I've already got KH3D and Luigi's Mansion 2 on preorder and I doubt I'd ever want to get rid of this system. Zelda alone is a reason to keep it for me.

The list of upcoming games looks promising and very much geared toward hardcore gamers. Nintendo seems to be doing a lot right with the 3DS and I'm hoping they continue this pattern with the Wii U. Which I plan on getting when it comes out (hopefully later this year like estimated).

I'm not dead....just forgotten.
The only issue I find with the 3DS is that they did not make it as big as the DS-XL. Aside from that I have some decent fun with mine. Whether you should get it or not is up to you honestly. After all it is your money, not ours I would suggest you come up with your own opinion. Do some research and if alot of things seem to interest you or not then make your decision on the things you find out. Again its your choice since you'd be the one buying it for you, not us.

At the original price, no. At the price it is at now, it's a good purchase if you like what it offers as far as games. I personally wouldn't get one unless I already had a Vita first. That's just me though.

Depends on what you're looking for.

+ Decent Price nowadays.
+ Free Wifi
+ Backwards Compatiable
+ Few good games on it...

- ...But still quite a tight line of games available.
- Pretty small.
- 3D Mechanic doesn't work too well IMO.
