I'll be there every step of the way...

=SB=, what "modern" stages do you think would be way past cool in retro Sonic style-- And no, I don't mean Generations. I'm talking about, "What if [insert stage here] had appeared in an older game?" In Genesis-style graphics, with Genesis-style music, and with a sprited Sonic (and/or Tails) barreling his way through to the goal post. Think of level design and gimmicks, too. Who else would like to see Hang Castle from Heroes? Or Asteroid Coaster from Colors? Or Metal Harbor from Adventure 2? |

Yep.
|
That's actually quite an interesting concept. It could have been possible for Sonic to stay Genesis-styled (Just like Megaman stayed NES-styled...) but well, 3D was a new big concept back in the 90's so it couldn't have been an expection with SEGA to enter it as well. Anyway, on the different actual side of this topic, Planet Wisp, anyone? |

You know what stage I would want to see in the Genesis-style? Speed Highway. Edited by HollyYoshi, Mar 26 2012, 09:20 AM.

My! That's a pretty snazzy performance there!
|
This is an awesome topic. <3 Anyways, aside from *insert beach, forest, and/or cities*, would love to see Sweet Mountain (8-bit food = awesome), Eggmanland (less harder), Hang Castle/ Mystic Mansion of course, and Lost World. |

Yep.

I have an interesting concept. What if Sonic 3D Blast was Sonic 4? =3 All zones go from semi-3D to the classic 2D styled 16-bit-o graphics. I find that interesting. |

Please don't scared me like this. I don't want to believe that!!! Also, I forgot one more: Cannon's Core, but have Sonic run though all the sections. |

Higurashi Hou FTW
|
yes that could work out in some characters parts but i dont think so in rouge and knuckles part because there was swimming involved in that part and unless its like free riders where's sonic's weakness agianst water kicks in then i dont see it happening unless you disliked those parts and dont care if there not included in the stage or not |

Well, the way I see is that they make it a 2D underwater section. It does not have to be a carbon copy of the original, but I see what you saying. Like maybe, you enter the middle area and then attack all enemies, which activates a water flood, then you go underwater to hit the switch and exit out from the top. Just a thought, and the more I think about it, the more awesome it seems to me lol |

Sandopolis Act 1
|
My favorite levels are in SA2, so I'd like to see all of those. I think Sky Deck from Adventure 1 would be very good in 2D, alongside with Sonic Heroes' Final Fortress. |

I suddenly want to see Jungle Joyride Day re-imagined in the Genesis-style. It would probably be very long though.=/ |

Sweet Mountain, would be sweet. |P You know, I wouldn't mind 2D Treasure Hunting stages. |P -smacked for a suggestion many hate- I could see viable layouts with Wild Canyon and the rest of his stages from Sonic Adventure 2. All, except Death Chamber, I couldn't begin to see how one could make a 2D model of that stage. |
