Laptop freezes after unplugging internet

Laptop freezes after unplugging internet; I know i have a lot of problems but still

Yep. Posts: 1,397 Group: A Rank Hero Member #12,099 Joined: May 26, 2011 Steam ID: Maximus123458 Game Currently Playing: Megaman X6	A one year ago, i got this nifty little new laptop/netbook, and there are only a few minor problems which can easily be fixed. At first, it was running on Windows Vista but Vista was really sucky so we switched it to Windows XP. However, since the beginning, there's been a one problem. Everytime i unplug my modem/internet connection, the laptop suddenly freezes. There's no reaction from anything so i need to forcibly restart the laptop. I decided to leave it in then so there will be no problems. But i still wish to fix that. Any of you guys know the problem? Yes, i searched on Google. However there were no answers that solved my problem.

And even if i unplug it when the laptop starts up, everything is turned off and the internet is not on, when i unplug the modem, it still freezes.

I object to your claims Posts: 15,025 Group: =SB= Queens Member #9,640 Joined: January 9, 2009 Gender: Female Country: United States of America 3DS Friend Code: 1891-1489-0768 Nintendo ID: Agent_Blaire Game Currently Playing: Yoshi's Island	The problem is, you're never supposed to simply unplug a USB modem from your laptop. You have to stop the modem before you can do that. What I do is click on the 'Safely Remove Hardware' button (it should be on the bottom tool bar), highlight the modem name, and then press 'stop'.
