Gawd, while LA Noire is my favorite among these titles, I have to go with the Fallout series due to it's very good story and that the setting is well put together to match the environment. Skyrim is the only ES that I have played is where I love to just walk around, but Fallout does it more for me. Plus it was one of my first from Besthada (d'oh) when I got my 360 about 2010 Christmas with New Vegas.

Also if you add a poll, make sure to always add other, in case you've forgotten about something. Nevertheless I'm leaning fairly towards what Red Dead Redemption managed to pull off at their first release, as I can solely agree with Mystic, that Skyrim isn't the whole series, just one game. So I'm going to go with Red Dead. Sure, it's like GTA, but even if they way have slowly become repetitive, I can't deny that I love the free roam around the city, including the western territory.

Maybe not Link's Awakening by today's standards, but in the original you could pretty much go wherever you wanted from the start, and tackle the dungeons in any order.
