"Came here for the prize, until the (Censored) said out loud that we're trapped here. Had a feeling that this place was a lie. The way it looks, Some rich criminal's running this place. Giving him props for spending too much time on this place." He tried his best to not rant on about why criminal masterminds are his rivals...that's what he thinks. |

Fear the cold...

Ezekial looked up, his eyes widening slightly at the announcement that rang throughout the complex. His thought quickly soured from easing as he relaxed in the lounge to constant vigilance. I should have known something like this was going to happen he thought, as the mood turned to brooding. He lifted his head to his fate, knowing now the only way to get out alive. "Okay then," He said, non-chalantly, "Let's do this." |

-sigh-
|
Fractal came to a screeching halt behind Anamat and Aura. She her chest thumped after exerting a small bit of energy. Before she could make a move on upon the Dark Lord Enemy's voice echoed through the Great Hall.
Fractal watching in confusion as Enemy stuck her doppelganger. She wasn't hurt at all. Actually, this copy was extremely frail and horribly undisciplined. He then babbled on again, the cries of the fake Dark Lord continuing as he did.
Fractal wasn't much relieved to hear this from Enemy. She didn't like him. Not just because of his actions, but his personality was just too hard to deal will. She shook her head and came up to the doppelganger, her necklace bouncing off her chest when she brought the thing to it's feet, still moping. 'This is like trying to take care of a kid,' Fractal sighed. She didn't like the idea of babysitting, let alone having children. She didn't even see having any in her future as it would be more of an inconvenience, but as her thoughts began swirling she eventually rationalized a way out from storing them back into her newly acquired pendant. If she could train them right they could, at the very least, make for some decent company. An announcement was made. The words echoed through the room, yet there wasn't a soul in sight except for Aura, who obvious didn't have such a voice. With information streaming about the reason for the tournament, and that it was beginning shortly, she felt a hand get placed upon her shoulder.
Fractal nodded and replied, "same to you, and good luck. Come now," the Sneasel's attention came back to the doppelganger. "Since you're the first copy I befriended, I shall name you F1. Okay?" She gave the copy a pat on the head before tugging its arm. In no time, Fractal's small walk got her through the Great Hall and back to the Lobby to confront and calm the other copy. |

I object to your claims

Attention everyone, prepare yourselves as best as you can. The tournament will start shortly... Please be advise that you are no longer fighting for a prize, but you are fighting for your freedom. Dread washed over Aurora, like a tidal wave over a small village. The Timber Wolf, ears flattened behind her head, let out a sigh. Not again, this could not be happening again. But it was. Her ears perked back up, only if to allow herself the capability of hearing every word that the judges had to say. From the moment you were scanned at the front desk, your soul was tied to this place. Leaving this place means death... Aurora could have easily gauged the reactions of her friends from hearing an announcement such as this. Blaire would be filled with rage, but hiding her feelings in a mask of composure. Chester would be rather nervous, his entire body trembling. Drake, on the other hand, would have just stood there, his face blank and devoid of any discernible emotion. As the wolf herself, she simply frowned, thoroughly dissatisfied with recent events. But fear not, should you lose you will not die... Not immediately. You will have a chance to rejoin this tournament should any of you lose. However, there is only one chance for you. After that, you will die... Well, that was a relief. Aurora could fight – she was an O.R.D. Agent, after all, but her skills were not as great as those her friends and fellow teammates possessed. To be perfectly honest, a boomerang wasn’t the greatest of weapons to bring into the fray, even one with endpoints sharp enough to cut someone’s throat out. The chance to fight again if she lost would help to compensate for that little detail. The purpose of this tournament is not your souls, but your spirit energy. The more you fight, the more you push yourselves, the more you express fear, anger, and the lust for blood and victory, the more you'll be feeding us your spirit energy. This entire event, releasing the fake Dark Lord, forcing you to become fearful, provoking you to fight, was formed so you can continue to feed us spirit energy.Your only chance to leave this place is winning. It matters not to us if you win or lose, what matters is your spirit energy. And be warned, we WILL obtain it at all costs... Prepare your hearts and mind for each fight, focus on surviving, and you'll see your freedom soon... “Well then,” Aurora thought, brushing back her ears. “I guess the only thing I have to do is win this tournament. However…what about everyone else?” |

"Good moves out there, bud. Sure taught me a thing or two... and maybe something I didn't know about my own gear!" "Oh, haha, no problem," Fenroar replied to Chaos. "And uh, ditto." The last statement was something that made him curious, but he chose to shrug it off and chuckle about it. During the battle, he experimented problems with his weapon after frying it with his electricity. There goes my advantage. Heh, oh well. Before Fen could say anything else to the discussion though, a chilling announcement began echoing in every room. "Attention everyone, prepare yourselves as best as you can. The tournament will start shortly... Please be advise that you are no longer fighting for a prize, but you are fighting for your freedom." "... What?" Fenroar reacted with annoyance. "Guess we better heal up quickly just to be safe before our matches begin, Chaos." However, just like he expected, there was more. "From the moment you were scanned at the front desk, your soul was tied to this place. Leaving this place means death... But fear not, should you lose you will not die... Not immediately. You will have a chance to rejoin this tournament should any of you lose. However, there is only one chance for you. After that, you will die... The purpose of this tournament is not your souls, but your spirit energy. The more you fight, the more you push yourselves, the more you express fear, anger, and the lust for blood and victory, the more you'll be feeding us your spirit energy. This entire event, releasing the fake Dark Lord, forcing you to become fearful, provoking you to fight, was formed so you can continue to feed us spirit energy." "Hmph," Fenroar further reacted, more annoyed. The last thing he wanted to be is a pawn for this scheme. What is spirit energy exactly? "Your only chance to leave this place is winning. It matters not to us if you win or lose, what matters is your spirit energy. And be warned, we WILL obtain it at all costs... Prepare your hearts and mind for each fight, focus on surviving, and you'll see your freedom soon..." "So... we're simply pawns," Fenroar told Chaos, frustrated, as well to perhaps any spectators running this tournament. As soon as he stepped into this place, he have always felt like there's something keeping tabs on him, somebody watching him and all the fighters. He hopes they can hear him. Why did he enter this tournament again? Now he doesn't have a choice to back out; he has to stay and participate. He planned on coming into this tournament to win, and he still intends to. But knowing everybody else will die and those running the tournament don't care, and will simply thank the champion for successfully helping them achieve their plan. It sounds like they'll drain the champion's 'spirit energy' anyway. What will happen if your spirit energy is drained? Will you die? Lose all emotion? Is it any different from losing? I won't lie down, Fenroar thought to himself, thinking deeply about the new situation he's in, feeling like he been on this situation before... back on his world. I'll do anything I can to be more then a simple pawn in their scheme. I'll fight... but if there's a way to stop them from dying or restore them in the end, then I will. "So Chaos," Fenroar asked as the two walked to the recovery room, where Fenroar plans to head into a healing pod or whatever real quick to heal himself from any of the small injuries he sustained from the battle. "What do you think of the situation we're in? Our role as their pawns?" |

As the announcement began to play throughout the building as if out of thin air, Chaos placed his hands behind his head and listened closely. It spoke of many things, but the general gist of it was that the tournament rules had changed somewhat and confirmed that there was a lot more going on than was being let on. A slightly disgruntled frown kept across his face as he closed his eyes, stepping into his own thoughts. "Great... how the hell do I keep getting dragged into things like this? Never seems to be anything simple any more... I'm making a note not to sign up for any tournaments from here on out." The whole scenario just bugged him to the core, though he would never really be one to show it. There wasn't any doubt that he would sock whoever was running this show in the face if he could get his hands on them right now. He had seen his fair share of maniacs messing with forces that they didn't understand and this was no different. To make matters worse, they saw fit to drag in a bunch of other people to use in their plans. Just great. The part about the spirit energy struck him as curious too. His own soul was an interesting case to say the least... would that have an effect on the energy he released? "So... we're simply pawns." Chaos simply offered a single nod as he began to follow Fenroar, supposedly to the recovery rooms. Though he wasn't exactly sure why, considering that all the damage that occurred in the sparring match never actually happened. Perhaps some were more sensitive to the virtual training than others? It probably didn't matter that much. "So Chaos, what do you think of the situation we're in? Our role as their pawns?" "First, don't refer to us their pawns. You're basically accepting it completely if you do that," Chaos answered with the slightest hint of annoyance in his voice, the whole situation still not sitting well with him. "As for what I think of it... it's complete BS. I knew there were some maniacs in charge but this is just another level of stupidity. Fighting for our freedom? Just who the hell do they think they are?" With a small sigh he ran his right hand through his hair and ruffled it slightly, dropping both beside him as they stepped into the room, his gaze shifting to Fenroar once more. "Hey, let's make a pact. If one of us finds a way to get out of here besides fighting, we tell the other and take it, okay? And we'll take anyone else we can find out of here too," A quiet look of determination was present on his face as his eyes stared into those of the man he was talking to, extending his hand out towards him in the process. "Deal?" |

"First, don't refer to us their pawns. You're basically accepting it completely if you do that." "Oh trust me, I'm not," Fenroar replied. "If there's anything I can do to throw off their plan, then I will." Fenroar nodded to the rest of Chaos's statements, agreeing with him completely. Chaos then offered his hand out to signify his new pact. "Deal," Fenroar agreed, shaking Chaos's hand. "One more thing though, remember what he said about spirit energy? How we feed this dark lord by expressing anger, fear, and lust during our battles? Well...." "How about when we battle, we show as less as that as possible while still giving it our all? Both of us probably still intends to win this tournament, and we're forced to go along with it regardless. But like you said, if an opportunity presents itself, then we'll all take it together. We might as well to try to do as much as we can to annoy them or throw something off in their plans." Fenroar knows the first round seems to be very soon however. All the fighters here seem to be pretty strong however, even some of the more bizarre looking creatures and people could have some very nasty tricks up their sleeve. He wonders how he'll stack up against the others. He does hope to at least make it past the first round, but it won't be easy, whoever his opponent is. As he decides to stay in the lobby upon realizing he actually feels pretty fine, all that he can tell himself is this; don't take anybody too lightly. Don't get too ahead of yourself. "Anyway, the first round seems to be soon," Fenroar added. "Good luck. Hope we can both get past the first round." |

Lobby 2 The lobby has changed. From what was once a high-tech all white scene, soon became a dark red cave. Well, more like tunnels that were built within a cave. The set up was basically the same, sparing rooms, lounge area, healing center. However, instead of a bunch of No Datas walking around, dark purple and red figures that seemed to look like lava creatures walked around. They had bright blue eyes, yet they spoke english. In fact, they spoke several languages. The setting was more dark, and very spirit oriented. The screens more holograms, and the chairs were floating black substances that seemed to take the form of chairs. Purple torches were places around, apparently this was their only source of light. The ceiling itself was high, as the first lobby. Once again, it was very much the same, yet very different. In the center of the lounge area was Enemy, waiting for those had won to arrive. Surely they would be surprised to be in an entirely different place. Of course, the bar was still there, so that should ease some of the worry-worts. |

Break out the L-word. The other L-word.
|
As Sílfide entered through the door that she was teleported behind, a female No Data approached her, leading her to the Healing Center. As she limped over there, she thought about what just happened: she was very close to beating Fen, or at least she thought so. But it didn't matter, because he made some infraction of some rule and was disqualified. It happened so quickly: at first, she was chasing him down like the hunter closing in on his prey, and then Enemy and No Data appeared and it was over, just like that, and she was transported back here. When she arrived at the Healing Center, she opted for the Healing Pod. She stepped in, and suddenly it closed around her. She felt slightly claustrophobic, but then it turned on, relieving the pain from her sprained ankle, the cut on her arm, and the soreness of her body from the fall she took and the electricity that coursed through her body. And then the soothing feeling was gone, and the pod reopened. She stepped out, no longer having to limp, feeling utterly rejuvenated. "Thanks," she said under her breath to the female No Data, who characteristically did not respond. Sílfide left the healing center, and finally took note of the new appearance the lobby had taken on. It was much darker now. It reminded her of the cave she had found in the Amazon and explored with her sister when they were younger, but this cavern had a much more sinister ambiance. She was still a bit shaken up by the sound the machines made, back in her arena. It probably showed in her eyes. She stumbled over to the bar, taking a seat on one of the odd-looking stools. "Water, please," she said, staring blankly at the surface of the bar in front of her as she awaited the bartender to deliver her drink. |

Terrador appeared in the lobby after being teleported, a groan of irritance escaped his muzzle. The Baculum Petra was still grasped firmly in his left hand. His opponent just gave up without even an attack or anything. He just stood there, like this tournament no longer meant anything to him. Infinite questions formed in his mind on why, ecspecially for what was at stake. If his life wasn't on the line, Terrador would've exited the place already. He was disappointed heavily on his first victory. Not to mention he probably couldn't escape in the first place. With these in his mind, he quickly shook off any and all negativity to focus on future matches. Now that his mind was no longer occupied, the hybrid realized the change in appearance of the lobby. This new theme sent a small chill down his spine. It almost reminded him of his mountain home only more errie looking, as if he was trapped within a twisted nightmare. Upon scanning the surrounding area, he noticed another victorious individual positioned at the bar. With a quick twirl, his staff was placed diagonally across his back. Usually he never questioned it, but this time he pondered briefly on how it just hung there with no support. With a shrug, the badgermole headed off in search for the training room. |

Leoken looked around in the lobby. He was surprised seeing the different area. What really got him where those strange lava creatures. He was extremely interested in everything. Things just seamed amazing to his eyes. He was dying to know about this place, but he stayed put. The last thing he knew was that he was searching for his bow which had slid under a gear in the clock tower. He suddenly realized that he didn't have it when he was sent here. Worry began to flood over him. He took off his quiver and began digging into it, before he knew it he had found his bow. He held it in his hand and starred at it in surprise. He gave a lazy smile with relief and put the bow back in his quiver and put the quiver back around his shoulders. He scanned the lobby only finding two people so far, a hybrid badgermole and a android. It appears not everyone has been sent here yet, but they should arrive soon. Curious about the android he walked over to it. "Hi, I'm Leoken." The lion started with a smile on his face as he put his spear away, |

"Nikita..." He was impressed with all the hi-tech gear she had. He then nodded. "Well i hope your fight was better than mine. I mean i fell through the floor!" He had begun to laugh. The bruise on his back was big and hurt a lot, not to mention the bad cut on his leg, but the pain has never stopped him from having a good time. Though he has to admit that Fractal was a worthy opponent. Climbing to the top of the area was a smart move. Even though he was a great climber he misjudged the length of which he needed to jump. |
