Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	Miracle Now just out of curiosity, what if the character's shapeshifting occurs at a cellular level, effectively transforming them from the inside out into what they choose? You know, like completely rearranging their DNA and molecular structure so they don't just have the appearance but the actual make of what or who they're turning into? Good question. I'd allow something like this. However, there has to be reason and logic behind the transformation. Meaning, said character must have made contact with whom or what they are changing into it. As well, they would need to also have a secondary ability, which would be the ability to understand how something(a person or animal or whatever) functions on a molecular level. Think of Sylar from Heroes, who had an Intuitive Aptitude ability. for that, said character wouldn't need any other powers since they'd already come equipped with several. Of course, the member of said character would have to list each thing he/she can change into, as we wouldn't want said member of the character to just think of random stuff just to win matches. ALso, there would be a limit to how many things they could change into it. All in all, shifting at a molecular level would still require focus. However, they would be more limited in the time they can remain that way. Other wise, two things can happen. Their bodies will react on its own when under extreme pressure or damage, they'll become stuck in whatever form they changed into last and didn't switch back quick enough, or their bodies would simply go haywire and continue to change on its own because of the abuse and continues changing. Either way, something is bound to get messed up if said character keeps changing and shifting and fighting all at once. Shifter need to plan their battles wisely, otherwise they'd end up hurting themselves throughout the entire fight. Does this make sense? Did I even answer your question?

Posts: 3,252 Group: =SB= Kings Member #9,868 Joined: March 28, 2009	Quick question concerning Equipment, If I give a character throwing knives that obviously would need to be retrieved after being used, would they count as one piece of equipment like ammo in a gun or would I need to use multiply equipment slots for a set of knives?

So, yes, it would be similar to ammo where it only takes up one slot. Of course, listing how many throwing knives you carry is a must. Miracle - I should add in all that, huh... goes to add it

Currently attempting to return. I'm planning making a skill that takes two turns to charge, so it then it can stay active for two turns. If I start recharging it am I required to use it all in four turns. Like, it take 2 turns to charge it and then I have to activate it or can I wait with it charged and only use it when I want?

Chaos Emerald Posts: 691 Group: S Rank Knight Member #746 Joined: March 19, 2007	It depends really. Some characters have items/weapons that has auto firing once said thing is charged. Or, some characters can control the charging process, meaning they don't have to wait until said thing is charged all the way to use it, they can cut the charging portion short. However, doing so decreases the effect of whatever it is they're charging. Just cause you charged something doesn't mean you have to use it right there and then. Unless you've set up your character that way. Normally, attacks that are auto released are stronger because said character is not using their entire body to charge said attack, mainly they're using an object of some kind. The bad thing about the auto release, though its normally stronger, is you don't have much control over said attack. Once its charged its released, ready or not. Also, with auto releases you normally can't stop the charging part and then start it from where you left off. Once you've stopped charging said attack or you were interrupted, you'd have to start all over again. Whereas controlling the release of the charge allows you to stop and hold the charge, then pick it up because you are in control of it, and its normally coming from the character. Having said that, there is a down side to doing that as well. The longer you hold a charged attack the more energy you're wasting. Plus, you're not going to move as effectively. I hope I answered your question.
