Remember the time that you registered for the forum and you didn't know anyone around you? Hah, yeah, I remember! This thread is basically telling you to compare yourself from NOW, to the past when you joined the forum as a newbie. I haven't been here for a long time, but I've learned a lot and made new friends. I've also went through a lot of ranks throughout the months. Well, here goes. Just follow from what I'm doing and you'll get how to compare yourself...  THEN: When I first registered this site, I was a "lost puppy." I didn't know what I was doing, I got very emotional when people would correct me on things, even though they are actually helping. I was originally named "Scorch the Hedgehog" and I had one person I despised on this website. I also had one friend.  NOW: Now, I know a lot of details to the forum and I'm not longer a stray. I do know what I am doing most of the time and I'm not afraid to ask Admins, Mods, or experienced users questions. I don't get emotional anymore for corrections, I consider them as a lesson learned now. I am now Brandon the Wolf (of course) and I am much more experienced for character information and concepts. The person I despised before is now a good friend. Not the best like Hatred (Hatred is my bro!) but an amazing friend. He was the one I despised because he always corrected me on every situation when he was just trying to help...and I RESPECT THAT. All in all, I consider this forum as my home and I know there is much more to accomplish on here for me.  YOUR TURN!!!!

THEN: Well, for me, I never really joined a fourm. I didn't really know what to do. I mostly did only PM's. I never posted or anything. I didn't start posting till I met Finitezero. After that I've been on here a lot more. NOW: I'm cool around the site. I'm a pretty decent RPer. I won't say great, because I forget the three word minimum thing from time to time. I always greet the new members. I think I was one of the first to meet Scorch. After a while me and him became friends, then bros. |

(DAMN STRAIGHT. You were ONE of the first. Max was the exact first one I met http://sonicblast.org/topic/7319992/1/?x=90#new . I never really talk to FiniteZero. Kinda wish I did. From what I heard, pretty decent friend. But, either way, good description.)

Let's see. THEN: As all probably were, i was lost at first and rather unused to the forum due to it's large count of members. Also, i was a total buttwad at first, being rather annoying if i do say so myself. Then, i visited The Shack... NOW: Troughtout the 3 first months, my personality was changing for some reason, most likely due to the influence i got from other members. I was beginning to get active so much, that i became a normal member of this forum. =3 I guess..not much to say. |

Then: It was literally the first time I was out here on the net. First forum I join and I was nervous has hell. Spend most of my first time on the RP Garden in a RP that ended up going from 4 or 5 guys to just 2. Kind of where I started. After that I start going a little on the shack learning the basics around here and starting to meet people. Now: I can positively say I may now more people better online that in RL (Forever alone T_T) and its always a blast to be around here. I meet amazing people and I've got the courage try thing I've never though of. I'm still just starting but I'll never regret joining this place. |

Oh lawdy, where do I begin. Then: I fit the bill of a n00b perfectly. It was pretty much my first time in a forum. For some reason I just didn't give a shit when it came to correct punctuation and grammar. I was posting around, making a bunch of n00bish mistakes. I look back at my old posts and just facepalm. While I did post around here and there I wasn't too well known I suppose. Just another annoying new member who hadn't made a name for herself yet. Now: Im now a regular around these parts. I guess people know my name now. Much better than before. Ive made some great friends whose company I truly enjoy. Im so glad I decided to join when I did. I was pretty much bored when I was searching for a Sonic forum and look where it got me. I really do love thise place.

Then: Wow I remember joining this forum because of a friend. This was my first forum so I had no idea how to act. So I was spammy and noobish and I was probably seen as annoying. I posted here and there but I wasn't really well known and probably was considered a nusiance. Now: I used to be called Gold but more recently the nickname Star is what stuck. Normally a girls nickname it was a little difficult at first since I got confused for a girl from time to time but it wasn't too bad. I've grown as an RPer, Storywriter, Artist, and as a person in general as I've worked hard to build the friendships that I've made. This place has been a breeding ground for so many great ideas and I got a lot of inspiration from this community. We've had good times and bad. Sometimes we've fought, others we've built great works together. And I'm so glad that I've been able to be a part of it all. |

Eh, sure, why not? -=[THEN]=- I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine after having a discussion with him about how all of the Sonic forums I used to hang around had died or gone sour in terms of user base. He pointed me over here. At first I was fairly reserved in what I said since I didn't really know anybody. I remember being pointed towards the Shack and randomly inserting myself into a conversation or two, but I never was all that comfortable. I had a bad habit of announcing when I was leaving and what I was doing. But I slowly adjusted. Not before getting killed once or twice by a certain someone though. Being a ghost was kinda fun I guess. Didn't have to worry about being noobish since I had been around forums for a while at that point, but compared to the last forum I had been to the rules were a bit stricter than I remember, leading to me being super careful not to break any by mistake. -=[NOW]=- I'm more or less considered a regular around these parts and as far as I know I seem to be anywhere from fairly well liked to thought of indifferently by most of the folks I hang around. And that suits me just fine. Hard to believe I've been here for over a year now, really. All in all, I think I made the right choice jumping in here~ |3 |

Then: I remember it quite good. I just came from the Sega of America forums and just searched for 'Sonic forum' and found this place. I remember being so sucky at English, it's embarrassing. But, I've made some good friends over the years, I think. Met interesting people (like Venny, Trash and Ephy...), had so much drama, so much fun in the Shack, etc. I was all over the place. The forum was so active back then. ...And yes, I kinda miss the drama. |D Now: I think I've become more natural now, more like a regular. There have been periods that I've been gone for a few months, or when I just forget to log in. But this place will always have a special place in my heart. No matter what, I've been coming back the past three years to this place. :3 |
