Christmas is back again

Even if she consistently remained vaguely active during the conversation, she couldn't deny the fact it had been intolerable dark outside ever since they arrived. Surely she hadn't just wandered the street's during the moon's dominance. But apparently this hadn't just been her illusion, playing tricks with her mind.
Rather puzzled upon this unusual acquaintance. "What possible could nether one of us, have the authority, changing every assumption that deliberately have come to haunt this little livelihood of a town. We're just average citizens to say the least." She didn't exactly count out that someone among them carrying an insignificant hidden power that'd may prove quite useful for this ordinary guy. She's sure that they'll get more enlightened at their situation, if Daniel can finally come to the conclusion of busting each and everyone out only to tell em about the shifty neglects of daytime/nighttime obtrusions. The demeanor of folks have changed – those that used to be perfectly friendly individuals are now bitter and mean, for one thing. And then there are….the Shadows.” Blaire tilted her head to one side, confusion written clearly across her visage. “The…Shadows?” Dan nodded. “Yes. The Shadows. Creatures that are capable of taking the form of another. Including each of you,” he stated cryptically. |

"The shadows..." Xavier's heard of many strange cases, but none so elaborately creative such as this. Creatures that could take the form of something else? That sounded like something out of a science fiction novel. However, Danny's demeanor told otherwise, and the raccoon decided, that just once, he could believe in the impossible. Giving a solemn nod, Xavier considered to the group. "Let's say that these shadows are real. The implications are endless. As you've said, it could be any one of us masquerading as the other for their own reason. This meeting may have been discovered by the enemy, and anything we say could compromise the entire situation. Or, these shadows," he continued, his voice growing more serious by the second, "the only shadow here may be you!" His finger flew straight threw the air, aiming at none other than the mysterious squirrel. Xavier wasn't finished. "Think about it," he continued, now addressing the others, "Is it so much as a coincidence that he helped us escape from an area where we could easily be interrogated without interruption? And answers are the only thing he wants, otherwise, why involve himself in this conspiracy at all? Unless..." his attention switched once again to Danny. "...you have a better explanation?" |

Sitting quietly listning to everyones point in turn it was beginning to either show the signs of a massive set up, or they were genuinly able to do something about these shadows Dan was talking about. Leaving Xavias question hang in the air to the squirrel it was high time for some direction on what exactly they were all supposed to do. They hadn't even known each other until now, not even mixed in the same circles. So how were they all supposed to help out with something to strange and alien? Looking to Dan Tony spoke with a sigh "Xavias right my friend, we need closure and direction on what we're supposed to do. You broke us out, so, given the evils that surround us, what do you intend to do with us?" |

If there’s any way to tell the shadow form of someone from the real thing, I’m confident I’d pass with flying colors.” Or, these shadows, the only shadow here may be you! As the raccoon pointed an accusing finger at Dan, the squirrel didn’t even flinch. He calmly sat in his seat, not worried in the least about what anyone thought of him from the collected look on his visage. Blaire took notice of this, arching a curious eyebrow. “He’s either a good actor, or he honestly isn’t one of these so-called ‘Shadow’s.” Think about it. Is it so much as a coincidence that he helped us escape from an area where we could easily be interrogated without interruption? And answers are the only thing he wants, otherwise why involve himself in this conspiracy at all? Unless…you have a better explanation? Blaire suddenly stood up, waving a paw from side to side. “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Are you seriously going to jump to conclusions like that? Who’s to say that he wasn’t legitimately trying to help us? Answer me that, will you? No, hold on. What evidence do you have that suggest Dan here as being a ‘Shadow’? None, that’s what.” Xavias right my friend, we need closure and direction on what we’re supposed to do. You broke us out, so, given the evils that surround us, what do intend to do with us? The squirrel stood up and clasped his hands behind the small of his back. “Why I am here to give you your mission, Chosen Ones.” |

Watching him stand up with purpose this was't going to bode well for him or indeed the others, either a con trick or they were going to be used for something. Confirming his thoughts the squirrel spoke of their mission, something which he wasn't quite expected but wasn't suprised in the same way. Tony sighed to himself, what could they possibly do for this guy? Abruprtly the rat came out with the question. "So, using us for your missions then. Go on, spill the beans, might as well get on with whatever it is you have planned for us" Involountarily he looked around at the place they were sat, just something in the atmosphere seemed tense, maybe something was brewing for trouble? |
