Note: This RP is only for those that signed up for it in the sign-up topic. ............................................................................................ The bars were patched with crimson, a testament to those that had tried to escape before. Light came only from a dimly lit bulb hanging from the ceiling by a pair of thin wires - it looked as if even a breeze would dislodge the bulb, making the already flickering illumination no more. The room was sparsely furnished, containing only a pile of straw for bedding. This did not concern Blaire Fields much. The young Siberian Husky had seen jail cells with even less than this - heck, she had even rescued many a Mobian from them. What bothered her about this whole situation was that she should not have been here in the first place... The dog let out a deep sigh and brushed back a shock of head fur. Her bright blue eyes trailed up to the ceiling, scanning a way out. There was none. She peered forward, hoping to see a guard coming. With luck, she would be able to snatch the keys from him or her. |

He opened his eyes slowly, aware of the thumping in his head and the fuzzyness that engulfed him. The smells and sounds of the room starting to register, the dank smell of rot and other foul stenches that couldn't be worked out yet but not pleasant. Coming round into conciousness it was clear it was a jail cell, trying not to panick the tall white rat stared at the bars. Not for fear of being locked up but the reason why, no recollection of what happened the night before. Realising it would explain the fuzzy head for sure, but he wasn't out drinking the previous night was he? Calming a litle it wouldn't help matteres thinking like that, that was then this is now. Looking around the cell it clearly wasn't meant for comfort. Some bedding what was once condisered hay, bars on the window with damp grey bare brick walls and rusting bars for the door. Leaping up grabing the window bars trying to peer out there was no clue of location just darkness. Releasing his grip, Tony squatted against the back wall feeling the light breeze in his fur. Were there other prisoners here? There were some he was sure, their scents and sounds came drifting through the hall. A guard, yes, he'll know for sure what's going on. Standing by the door he waited patiently, ducking a ittle to peer through the small window of bars on the door. |

Without even a trial to defend her innocence, there's bound to be something fishy involved. The foul odor wasn't to be mistaken of. Fiddling around with her thumbs, staring at the roof, attempting to eavesdrop whether there's any sign's of life apart from her own. True this hadn't been her first visit behind bars, but this felt different. Nervous... No! not at all. Reassuring there has to be some valid explanation. Was it her looks...? Was it her rude manners? It made no sense. Someone must've drugged her, it's the only clarification on how she's end up in this godforsaken prison. At least it could've been worse. Even if that's less appreciated, considering the situation she's in. No matter the silence, there's sure to be others like her. Looking out from her cell, there's nothing quite appallingly among these halls. Their all the same, with their grayish architecture. Shuddering at the thought of who's behind all of this, after all she's already routed out the law-enforcers. Someone with a sickly twisted mind, enjoying the capturing of random citizens, but surely someone is bound to show up. They aren't considering to leave em hungry, or die from thirst. Do they? Her puzzled mind was no mistaken, she craved back her freedom. |

Fear the cold...

Xavier looked outside of his window to make sure that he wasn't making a mistake. Sure enough, an entire squadron of police cars was sidled outside of his building, having cut off the area from civilian access. The captain of the squad was shouting something in to the microphone, but Xavier wasn't paying much attention. He pulled his head in from the the window, silently contemplating the situation. After a few seconds, he came up with nothing. What the hell is going on!? he thought, trying to find out why the police would be at his house of all places. Since he was the official investigator of the local police force, he would usually be the one to trust. Something was obviously going on here that he obviously didn't know about. Suddenly, the door to his apartment was kicked in. Several heavily armed soldiers marched in, disregarding niceties. Xavier turned, caught off guard by the intrusion. He would have to talk fast if he was going to get out unscatched. "Now wai-" he started, but got no further when the boot of one soldier caught him in the chin. The last thing he noticed before falling unconscious were the others quickly grabbing him and dragging him away. |

Clomp. Clomp. Clomp-comp. The steady cadence of footsteps caught Blaire's attention. Slowly, the Siberian Husky sank to her stomach, her ears twitching in the direction of the sound. Quickly and as silent as the mouse which had just passed by her cell no less than ten minutes ago, the Mobian crept over to a corner. She positioned herself so that much of her body was hidden in the shadows, her head just slightly outstretched. Her plan was simple - when what she assumed was the guard went past her cell, Blaire would carefully reach out and grab his keys and use them to escape once the coast was clear. Someone stopped right in front of the door. "I know you're in there," a deep voice called. "Come forward, if you will." The violet-furred dog arched an eyebrow, but complied with the request. "Yes?" she asked, wrapping a pair of gloved paws around the bars. Click. The door swung open. Blaire looked outside, her eyes wide. Before her was a Mobian. What species, she couldn't tell, as much of his body was covered in thick robes. The Oakland Resistance Division agent pointed to herself, her lips forming the words before she could even get a proper grip on them herself. "You're letting me go?" The figure nodded. "Yes. But," he held up a finger and Blaire could see that he was wearing light gray gloves. "I need you be somewhere within one hour. I have something of the utmost importance to tell you, but it's not safe to discuss it here." The Siberian Husky placed her paws on her hips. "Okay, where do you want me to be?" The Mobian handed her a small slip of paper. "The address is written on that. And don't worry," he said, starting to walk off. "The guards are busy with something else. You should be able to slip out with no problem." "Um, thanks," Blaire said, walking the other way. As she did so, she glanced at the paper. Written on it was the following; '146 Horizon Lane' |

Sounds of footsteps in an ajacent corridor echoed through the strangley silent hallways of the prison. Not even the sight or sound of a guard in what appeared to be a long time, but then again, it's not like the prisoners were going anywhere...was it? Maybe it was his mind playing tricks after little sleep, but he was certain a cell had been unlocked and the door swung open. Tony stood staring at the door before beginning to pace across the cell, wondering how to get out of this mess. But the sound of more footsteps interrupted his throughts, edging closer to the cell door, stopping outside. The heavy breathing of whoever was the other side sent a shivver down the rats spine, backing away into a corner instincitvly. The latch clicked open but the door did not, fearing a trap Tony crept forward in what little light there was in the room, to see the door pulled open a crack. Stepping forward with a crunch, his boot trod on something wedged between the door. Bending to pick the note up, it simply read 'Go now to safety' Who had opened the door, and the note? Putting the confusing thoughts away for the moment this was it, time to get out of this hell hole. Sprinting towards where the first sounds of footsteps where he caught a figure running, racing for the exit. He didn't want to shout for fear of attracting unwanted attention, either this was who let him out or someone else had been too. Keeping a distance, Tony followed to see where the figure was headed, but not before enjoying a moment of fresh air exiting the stale and dank building. Enjoying freedome once more, but for how long? |

In the nick of time. Someone had seen the downright undoing by ceiling them inside, innocent and without a trial. Fumbling in the dark, poking an eye out at the door, who's been unlocked. Attached to the wall was no more then an insignificant note, revealing an peculiar address. Whatever it was, surely the one who's involved, tampering with the locks must've done so with reason. Making her way towards the nearest exit, turning out almost terrifyingly easy, knowing there should have been more guards. Freedom at last, but she couldn't simply ignore what this message meant. Picking on a trail, towards her chosen destination, whether it's someone's sick twisted mind that brought them here along, and now see em as their pawns in some greater aspect. The streets reveled with life, rather abundant considering the sadly grim look of everything that surrounded her. Upon nearing the site, apparently not alone of being falsely accused. Hesitant at first, but it's only relevant that she uncovers the mystery behind this note and her sudden rescue. |

Xavier awoke with a start. "Now wait a mi-" he started, but stopped in mid-sentence. He obviously still wasn't at home. It was even more apparent that he had just woken from some sort of coma. This was not one of his days. Rubbing a still sore chin, Xavier sat up to examen his surroundings. He seemed to be in some sort of cell, though it was apparent that it hadn't been used in years. Three stone walls, one wall of metal bars, and what looked like a stone bed made up the interior of the cell. The worst part seemed that there was no way out. Xavier sat on the bed, frustrated. Without even a door, how was he supposed to get out of this place? He looked towards the bars again, feeling as if he could kick them when footsteps suddenly sounded down the hall. Xavier tensed, not knowing what to expect. |

Clomp-clomp. Clomp. Clomp. The very same figure that had visited the other three prisoners approached Xavier's cell. The Mobian gently tapped his knuckles against the weathered bricks separating the raccoon's cell from the hallway. "I know that you are in here. Come forward, if you will." |

Getting a good distance from the prison he still felt concious about the whole situation, constantly looking over his shoulder for anyone following in the shadows spooked by the slighest sounds. Several occasions the rat stood against a wall hearing voices only to breath a sigh of releif at some late night couples stolling past in their own little world. Gaining on the other released prisoner he was unsure of the destination, weaving in and out of the back streets. Was it too risky to shout, or make a noise? It might be worth a try he thought, after all someone had let them out it wasn't like they broke out using a tunnel or anything. Still following it seemed like there was a purpose to the others movments, from from what he could tell Tony judged the other to be female, dark in colour and maybe of canine desent. Not that it made much difference but rounding to Horizon Lane the rat stopped and watched as the female approached a building. Slinking back to the shadows, he had to find out sooner or later what was going on, so prepared himself to go and ask directly. Edited by Ellis, Mar 4 2012, 03:39 AM.

Passing by one street after another. If she remembers the town's physiography, it should be just around that corner, with the flashing title to one of the local inn's. A few citizens stationed outside, with a cigarette and a glass with ether whiskey or beer. Whatever conversation they carried between each other wasn't in the dragon's interest. Arriving at the scene, there's not a single soul nearby. Not counting with those folks passing by. At least it said.... '146 Horizon Lane' About to enter, as surely the man behind all of this must be awaiting them inside. Locked, or at least for now. What use would it be knocking if no one's there. Perhaps she aren't alone, further awaiting outside, even if it weren't for the cold, constantly reminding her that she wouldn't mind to stay indoors. |

Although there wasn't any clear place in which Xavier had to step forward, Xavier stepped in to the light. He'd usually be cautious, but it was obvious that if that person wanted him dead, he'd be dead. "Who are you?" Xavier asked. He had plenty of questions on his mind, but this seemed the most relevent to ask at the moment. He would ask his other questions later. Besides, he thought to himself. I can give myself a chance to see what kind of person he is. |

"Ugh...where is it? Where is it?" After searching for the better part of a half hour for the address that had been given to her, Blaire Fields soon realized that she was lost. The Siberian Husky had considered asking someone for help, only to remember that she had been arrested just hours before. And while she did nothing to warrant an arrest, the dog felt it would be wise not to take the risk. Still, she needed to find this place, for whatever reason. "Maybe I could ask just one..." she shook her head, wanting to slap herself for even thinking of asking anyone. "No, I have to keep a low profile," she told herself, continuing to walk through the streets. "I just hope I know what I'm getting into..." ========================================== Who are you? The figure gave a quick nod of his head in response. "Who I am is of no concern to you. Not right now. What you need to focus on at this moment is getting free." From a pocket did the Mobian produce a rather sharp knife. For a few seconds, he gazed at the wall before him, before sticking the blade of the knife in-between two bricks. A rough scrapping sound could be heard as the figure moves the knife back and forth between the two. Finally, it stopped, and with a satisfied look on his face, the Mobian pushed one of the bricks in. At at once, part of the wall behind Xavier began to turn, revealing the outside world. "Before you go off on your own, there is one thing I need to tell you first," the figure stated. "I want you to go over to 146 Horizon Lane." |

Following the husky was proving to be unsuccessful, the body language and movments showed she wasn't sure of where to go. Had someone given her a dedicated location to be at, someone going ot meet her, or was she just aiming to get away and hide? Whoever let her out of the cell had done so to him, tony's mind a blur with possibile situations as well as the original reason who wanted him in jail in the first place. Waiting for the right opportunity, the rat checked all around before approaching the lone female. The timing was right about to head forwards when she carried on walking. Muttering under his breath Tony realised the street layout, the back alleys of the buildings following the straight roads in front of the bulidings. Ducking into the alley way he raced forward finding a cut through leading to the street where she was walking. Staying in the shadows the white fur light up a dim grey in the starlight, emerging slowly to meet. Catching sight he spoke calmly, aware of how his height and build may put off strangers let alone on a dark street in the middle of the night to someone alone. "Don't be frightned miss, i too like you was let out of my prison cell unexpectedly. Do you know why or where we're supposed to go?" He wasn't sure how she would react to the sudden interraction, instinctivly helf out his hand politley giving his name. To anyone passing by it would look like an ordfinary meeting rather then something susicious going on, remembering someone out there had locked him, them both, up. "Sorry miss" he said apologetically holding out a hand "I'm Tony, i think we best get to somewhere neutral and open before someone realises we've gone, i know a place a few blocks from here, an all night cafe. It's safe, the law doesn't go there as they know not to if you get my drift" Finishing with a smile and cheeky wink, hoping to break any ice with the stranger. |

There had been no sign of any other's. Why? she pondered, knowing little whether she had taken a shortcut. The nearby tavern/bar offering an tempting seclusive and most of all, a socialized wending. If this address would've been as important, wouldn't it naturally have been someone there. Ignoring such facade, the female dragon walked slowly around the corner, finding her self shortly within, ordering a small drink, while simply enjoying the warmth these walls managed to provide. Only within a few minutes, a male feline approached, taken a seat nearby, ordering the same, before turning around, casually checking back on her. "What's the matter, never seen a girl like me?" Sunrise ushered out, wanting an answer for this sudden extrusion of staring constantly her way. Yet like all creeps, he never tallowed her request, merely taking another sip, before turning elsewhere. There's no use, and he ain't worth the pursuit. And their all the same, only there for drinking their miserable life, while keeping at any kind of glaring competition. Bottom's up, leaving after paying, wouldn't want to end up being drunk after all. Checking her surroundings if there's been any significant change. Shivering at the thought, as well with the brisk cold wind, tampering around her bone's. No matter, the dragon headed back to this appointed meeting address. Her breathe smelled a tad bit of alcohol, but wouldn't hurt no one, unless their faint of heart. |
